9. Lady Tremaine
I came close to leaving her out of this countdown, but she was after all Cinderella’s Stepmother. When Cendrillon was just a little girl, her Father married Lady Tremaine, who had two daughters of her own, Anastasia and Drizella. After the unfortunate death of Cinderella’s Father, Lady Tremaine’s true couleurs were finally revealed. She was dreadfully mean-spirited and hated sweet little Cinderella. She forced Cendrillon to be a servant in her own house and even made her live in the attic. Never once does she montrer l’amour ou kindness towards Cinderella. She even tries to ruin Cinderella’s chance of happiness at the end par breaking the glass slipper. To her surprise, Cinderella’s reveals that she has the other slipper, and finally gets what she deserves. And Cendrillon goes on to live happily ever after…

8. The Evil Queen
I was kind of astonished that our suivant contender beat out Lady Tremaine…she actually tried to kill the heroine. The evil Queen was probably the vainest character until Gaston from Beauty and the Beast came along. Everyday she would consult with her magic mirror to check and make sure she was the “fairest one of all”. Like Lady Tremaine, she forced her Stepdaughter to be a servant. Forced to wear rags and clean the château from one end to the other, Snow White didn’t let her situation get her down. When the mirror tells her that Snow White is fairer than she is, she orders her faithful huntsman to kill poor little Snow White, and to bring back her heart. Unable to kill the innocent Princess, he lets her escape into the woods. The Evil Queen later discovers that Snow White is indeed alive, and then begins to conceive a new plan. She makes a poison pomme and disguises herself as a hideous old hag, and plans on tricking Snow White into eating the apple. Snow White falls for it, but is later awakened par true loves kiss, and the Queen falls off a cliff…what an ending!

7. Chief Powhatan
The gracious Father of Pocahontas comes in at number 7. Although his role in the film is important, fans felt he was a bit bland at times. He is the Chief of his tribe and a warrior. He loves his people, and when the settlers arrive he is extremely cautious. After Kokuom’s death he becomes angry at the “savages”, and declares war. When Pocahontas makes a stand before he kills John Smith, he realizes where the path of hatred had brought him. He makes a promise right then and there that if there is to be anymore fighting, it will not begin with him. Before John Smith sails back to England he is willing to let Pocahontas go with him, if that’s what her cœur, coeur truly desires. toi can definitely tell that he is proud of what his daughter has accomplished.

6. King Stephen and the Queen
After years of trying to have a baby, their prayers are finally answered. They are blessed with a beautiful baby girl who they name Aurora, after the dawn. The entire kingdom comes together to celebrate her birth, everyone that is except Maleficent. She curses the poor baby Princess, making it to where she will die when she is sixteen. King Stephen and the Queen decide to let the three good fées take Aurora away and keep her hid so Maleficent can’t do her anymore harm. Voters just didn’t think they were in the film enough, and don’t play that major of a part.

5. The Fa’s
The traditional parents come in at number 5. They are loving parents, but seem to worry plus about their family’s “honor” than their daughter and what she wants. It’s obvious that Mulan has difficulty figuring who she is, but they don’t seem to really care. They just worry about her speaking up and destroying their honor. I don’t want to come across like I don’t like them, because I do. They are so relieved and happy when their daughter returns with a medal of honor and a man to boot!

4. King Triton
The ruler of the ocean isn’t particularly a populaire parent here. Some say he was too hard on Ariel and a bit overbearing at times, while others say he was only hard on her in order to protect her. He does have an anger issue…like when he destroyed Ariel’s treasure trove. We finally see his hard exterior begin to melt away as soon as Ariel goes missing. He no longer seems mean and scary. He looks worried to death and just sick. At the end he makes a huge sacrifice; he makes her human and lets her go. Ariel and her Father say a tearful goodbye at each other, and she and her Prince sail away as he watches.

3. Eudora
I would have never guessed that our newest parent made it to the haut, retour au début three. She’s hardworking and always encouraged Tiana to do the same. We don’t get to see exactly when Tiana’s Father passed away, but we can assume that Eudora had to raise Tiana par herself afterwards. Eudora doesn’t appear a lot in the film, but she’s always sweet and kind. I like how she referred to Tiana as “baby-cakes”…it made her seem plus real to me.

2. The Sultan
The short, childlike Father of Princess jasmin comes next. When he isn’t trying to force a suitor down Jasmine’s throat, he can be found playing with one of his toys. At times he seemed out of touch with Jasmine, and it takes him the duration of the movie to come to the conclusion that he’s the Sultan, and he CAN change the law so that jasmin can marry whoever she wants to. But toi can tell that he does l’amour her very much.

1. Maurice
The scatterbrained Inventor comes in at number 1. After Belle takes his place as the Beasts prisoner, he is bound and determined to get her out of there. When he returns to the village and tells everyone what happened, they think he’s gone crazy. Then he sets out on his own to get Belle back. The Beast lets Belle look in his mirror so she can see her Father, and she discovers that he is Lost in a blizzard. The Beast, seeing how worried Belle is, decides to let her go, losing all hope of his spell being broken. When Belle and her Father return home, the town insists on locking Maurice in the “looney bin”. Belle shows them that he’s not crazy par montrer them the mirror. They lock Belle and her Father in the basement, but they are later busted out par Chip  We all know how the story ends from there. Maurice is like a lovable little teddy ours and he is the favori Princess Parent.
I'm actually looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to watching this a little plus than I did when I had to watch Maleficent. This remake may not live up to the standards of the original but personally it's always been enjoyable to watch.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The first time I watched Cendrillon I did like it and there were some changes I liked but then there were some changes I really had to question. Even with the problems I have with this movie I still like to watch it every now and then.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

Since the...

This is another sequel I haven't seen in forever. Longer than forever, actually. I would say I'm excited to watch this but after Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World I'm not looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to watching this one.

Tonight's rewatch: Cendrillon II: Dreams Come True
Last time watched: 2002

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The beginning of this story is exactly the same as the one about Pocahontas 2; I wasn't into the original that much when I was a kid, but then this cartoon Disney movie with familiar faces came out, begged my dad to get me a copy, fin. But unlike Pocahontas 2 I actually did...

Here's the article for Pocahontas!

I know in the past I've made commentaires about how I don't like this movie because it's been a dit that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also a dit I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.

By now toi should all know what I write about in these articles so I'll just go ahead and start!

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas

Raiponce is my favori Disney movie for many reasons besides the wonderful storyline and beautiful imagery. I really relate to Rapunzel in so many ways. I try to be optimistic and see the beauty in the small things in life. I try to stay hopeful and occupy my time with many hobbies. I have so many interests and l’amour learning about them and learning about the world and other cultures. We also share physical features, brown hair and green eyes, and prefer walking outside barefoot. I also have some German heritage, so I relate to her that way as well.

My mother also acts a lot like Mother Gothel....

While it hasn't been confirmed, various clues have pointed to Moana eventually joining the Disney Princess lineup. This process only involved 20+ users, which I think is a good thing, we'll save the BIG survey for after Moana's official coronation. That's why I didn't ask for commentaires ou use fancy pics. Since the pool of users is so small, I wouldn't say these results are absolute and concrete. This is just a small prévisualiser of where Moana as well as the other princesses stand.

Now with all the issues, people have with Disney, one of the films that have legitimate grievances is Pocahontas. And as toi can imagine, because there ARE legit grievances to be had with Pocahontas, sites like Tumblr have an absolute field jour with it. Personally, the plus research I did on the situation around this film, the plus I was actually fascinated par it.

I know it's easy to write this movie off but how it came to be is a lot plus nuanced than toi think. It actually was gonna be a story closer to what happened in history but then Jefferey Katzenberg's overwhelming desire to get another...

Though not nearly as much as Merida and other revival princesses,Tiana is occasionally bashed for contributing to Disney's current trend of "meta", "woke" commentary with her whole "hard work, toi can't just wish" shtick. While this does irritate me, I try to separate film makers' intentions from the actual context of the movie and the character.

In the first act of the film, she's portrayed as diligent and determined but she's not as in your face about it. For the most part, her thing is "partying and dancing just isn't my for me". She's not insistent, condescending ou critical of others for...

As asteriamalfoy recently reported on the club wall, it appears that Moana will soon become the newest member of the Disney Princess lineup. The club's reception to the news is a mixed bag, which is the latest example of how the general fanpop opinion (namely, this club's opinion) doesn't always match that of the internet. It's interesting why that is, and I will attempt to find the reason here.

Before going forward, be aware that everything that I consider an "opinion" of fanpop and/or the internet is a generalization. True, there are some users on both this website and the rest of the worldwide...

I finally worked out how to do this. My mistake was mixing too many languages together which made it impossible to translate it back into full English. That's why Snow White's paragraph came back with only one sentence. I've done a remake of it with funny results including Cendrillon and Aurora's stories.

I am decided to sort DPs to Hogwarts Houses. I'll illustrate this article with pictures where each DP best exhibits the traits of house she belongs( Gryffindors do something risky, Hufflepuffs are doing something useful ou exhibit frinedliness, Ravenclaws read ou explore something, Slytherins are tricking someone ou dream about something). Warning: I have some unpopular opinions but I'll try to explain them. This is how I interpretent Hogwarts Houses and their values:
Gryffindors are first of all are brave, courageous, outspoken and risky. They are also often progressive, rebellious, mischievous,...

Cinderella château and Wishing Well

I've written many posts about the various attractions in Disney theme parks based around the films I've been watching. Some have been prominent rides such as Snow White's Scary Adventure ou Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Others have been obscure areas such as the Fantasia golfing attraction ou ephemeral like Bambi's presence in the parks. Some have merely been meet and greets.

Cinderella, however, is a film whose impact on Disney theme parks is huge. It forms, after all, the centre-piece of Disney World itself - Cinderella's Castle; a massive structure visible...

A Disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery par her step-family, only to win the cœur, coeur of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

Disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of Cendrillon is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances Cendrillon and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real Heroes of Cendrillon - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue Cendrillon from her attic room. Jaq...
