Okay so I didn't even need to watch this today because I was able to watch it a few days il y a at a birthday party :P I would have put this up then but I wanted to stay consistent.
Sunday's rewatch: Beauty and the Beast
Last time watched: Valentine's jour 2017
How much did I like this movie as a kid?
So, like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, this movie scared me when I was little because of how scary some of the animation was. When this movie was released on dvd for the first time in 2002 ou 2003, I didn't want to watch it because I thought I was still going to be scared of it. But then my stepmom bought it on dvd for me and my sister and on our suivant weekend stay we watched it together and I loved it. I didn't even mind the new song Human Again, mostly because it had been so long since the last time I watched the movie. I watched this movie on repeat for a while until I got bored with it and stopped for a few years until Valentine's jour 2009 when I watched it for my romantic Disney movie marathon. And actually, one of the things I l’amour about Beauty and the Beast in general is I saw a high school play of this (it was amazing) the night before my oldest niece was born. And then I watched this movie again at my niece's 10th birthday party a few days ago. Really sweet, right? :) And in senior an of high school my English teacher played us this movie when were on the fairy tales part of the syllabus. Funnest...lesson...ever.
Why I l’amour this movie so much:
The animation is beautiful from start to finish, and the fact that one of the animators who worked on this movie was James Baxter, who I just looooooove makes me l’amour the animation even more. I think my favori animated scene has to be the Beauty and the Beast dance scene, the Little Town scene, when Beast releases Belle, and the transformation scene. And we can actually see how the characters are feeling, what they're thinking and I can actually believe it. Do toi know how many times I have cried watching Beast's "death" and we see Belle cry and beg for him to stay with her? And Paige's voice jouer la comédie was so incredibly well done during that scene.
The soundtrack, both the instrumental and chant numbers, are beautiful and fun. I l’amour everyone's chant voices, especially Gaston's and Belle's. It's one of the reasons why I was so disappointed in the remake; in the original I feel like I'm watching an animated broadway musical but with the remake it's like I'm watching a bad high school play. Heck, the high school play I watched 10 years il y a held up so much better.
I l’amour all the characters, even the villains. Every one has equal screentime, the side characters don't steal the show, we see the main couple spend time together and get to know the princess and the prince unlike the classic princess movies.
I've seen people say Gaston was a lame villain but the reason I l’amour Gaston as the villain is because, as I've a dit plus than once, he's a villain who can exist in real life. Every girl has met at least on Gaston in life, a guy who refuses to take no for an answer, is manipulative, and has a bunch of followers because they think he's such a charming guy. I knew a few guys like Gaston in my life and I feel grateful that I "only" had to deal with them following me around, saying inappropriate stuff to me, and just wouldn't leave me alone. There are other girls who aren't so lucky. That's why I consider Gaston to be a terrifying villain in the Disney franchise.
The servants in this movie still make me laugh every time I see them and Mrs. Potts is still one of my favori moms in general. There is a reason she's been voted best mom in this spot; she's the sweetest character in the movie and she's voiced par Angela Lansbury so that's a huge plus.
Belle and Beast are one of my favori couples. My only real issue is how he acted so incredibly abusive at first and we don't see a real apology. But on the bright side, their enemies-to-lovers trope doesn't take up the whole movie. We actually see them being happy together for a good amount of time and we see Beast want to do something nice for Belle because he wants to do it, not just because of the spell ou because his servants tell him he has to. Sorry guys, but nothing can haut, retour au début Beast giving Belle a library.
The only issues I have with this movie are the huge plot holes. How did Phillipe know where the château was? Why was it suddenly snowing and how was there already so much snow after only a few hours ou a day? And then where did all the snow go? And how did every one go so long without knowing about a castle? I know the remake fixes these plot holes but that doesn't change the fact that this movie had them to begin with.
Princess:
Belle is a great character but I really have to question her decision to go to the West Wing. It's clear she's scared of the Beast so what was she expecting to happen par going to the West Wing after he told her not to? But other than that I like her snark and her patience with the other characters. She was 12 on my liste but I'm moving her up to 9.
Movie:
Despite the plot holes I still enjoyed this movie. The animation, the music, the voice jouer la comédie and singing, and the characters are all fantastic. I didn't even notice the plot holes until I heard them all years il y a because I had so much fun watching this movie. It's 5 on my liste and that's where it's going to stay.
Rating: 9/10
Would I watch it again?
Yes!
suivant movie will be Beauty and the Beast: Il était une fois Christmas. Looks like I'm having Christmas in June!

Would I watch it again?
Yes!
suivant movie will be Beauty and the Beast: Il était une fois Christmas. Looks like I'm having Christmas in June!
Yes, A Russian Princess!
We definitely need a Russian princess in the line-up, in this story, there are plus than 1 princess! So, since Natasha is the main character, she might be added alongside Princess Maria and Princess Elena despite that Natasha is only a countess.
The Story Is Very Long-Winded
Okay, So the story is divisé, split in 4 parts of the book. It will be to long winded, unless Disney is bold enough to shorten certain parts of the story as long as it does not omit out certain important and prominent part of the story.
Time for Imperial Russia?
So, are toi ready for Disney's very own Russian princess?
1) Aishwarya Rai (Miss World 1994)
She won the Miss Photogenic Award and the Miss World titre back in 1994, she is a very pretty bollywood actress in her own rights after winning the titre and I have to say that she ages gracefully!
2) Priyanka Chopra (Miss World 2000)
She is another possible choice for an Indian princess, I would not be surprise if they choice her to voice her and base her looks on a princess too!
3) Sunidhi Chauhan (Elsa's Hindi Voice)
She was the voice of Elsa in the Hindi dub for Frozen, she also has a very pretty look and will definitely be good for an Indian princess.
Be Bollywood!
So these 3 choices are my personal favourites, do toi have any suggestions?
1. Normal dress
The films original outfit is a rose dress consisting of a light rose top, darker jupe with flowers, light rose sleeves and a sort of corsette she wears. The dress is a mixture ofor Auroras forest outfit and snow whites formal dress. It has a beautiful princess look and basic as well. 8/10
2.Wedding dress
Marrying Flynn is something any girl would want to do, so toi wearing a wedding dress is a definite. It's nothing special though a white dress, a tiara same as any average wedding. I know it's from Raiponce forever after so may not count but I thought I would add an extra dress just to fill plus article space. 5/10
suivant up is Medreia from Brave. I am not a fan of her to be honest. She is quite mean at times but she does have costumes to discuss so that will be next, In the mean time commentaire below and see toi soon bye.
