Tonight's rewatch: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Last time watched: 2001 (seriously, how can I consider myself a Disney Princess fan if I waited THIS LONG to watch this movie again?)

Lets start off with how much I liked this movie when I was a kid...

To be totally honest I didn't really like this movie as much as Aladdin, The Lion King, ou Lady and the Tramp. It wasn't that this movie bored me, I actually liked some parts of it, but the problem with this movie was it scared me. A lot. This was one of the few Disney films that actually scared me as a kid (examples: Pinocchio and Hunchback of Notre Dame) so I never watched this movie too often. I wouldn't even go on the Snow White ride in Disneyland until I was an adult.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

I'm only a few minutes in and I'm remembering why I used to be so scared of this movie. This movie is dark. I remembered that the Evil Queen wanted Snow White's cœur, coeur cut out but I forgot how creepy the woodsman looked when he was about to cut out her cœur, coeur and when she's running around the forest and it's all dark and the trees look scary and stuff. For a little kid that can be really intense but at least now I can watch it and actually appreciate all the work the animators put into making those trees look so scary. The Evil Queen herself has moments where she looks scary even before her transformation. Speaking of, the transformation wasn't as scary as I remember it being but the way the Queen says, "My hands!" put a little shudder up my spine.

I've also forgotten how sweet and gentle Snow White is. I've compared her to Fluttershy from My Little poney in the past but I really am seeing a similarity, from her sweet voice to how gentle she is with the animals. I used to make fun of how naive she was but watching this now and remembering how old she is I can understand why she would go to a stranger's accueil and clean up and then let an "innocent" old woman inside. Heck, you'd have to be made of stone to not help a little old woman out.

And I can't believe I forgot how cute the animaux were! One of my favori things about Disney films is the animal sidekicks, whether they be silly sidekicks like Dante ou Jaq and Gus ou serious sidekicks like Flit ou Maximus.

The dwarfs made me laugh the whole time too. I can't remember the last time a Disney sidekick made me laugh this much (besides Genie, of course). It felt like I was watching an old Mickey souris cartoon. The dwarfs interactions with Snow White were so enjoyable to watch too, even Grumpy being, well, grumpy towards Snow White. Even though the dwarfs and Snow White really only knew each other for one night their friendship feels plus real than some other friendships we've seen without it being so rushed. And there didn't even need to be some kind of test of friendship ou anything to prove like films today. The dwarfs and Snow White care about each other through the whole movie without any conflict and that's so refreshing to watch.

While I definitely remember that the transformation scene scared me as a kid I forgot how much I loved the potion making process. It's something I never see in anything involving a witch and while that disappoints me it feels right that we don't see anyone put together a potion the same way the Evil Queen does because then it wouldn't be so unique.

I still couldn't cry during Snow White's funeral but it's not like it wasn't still sad, it just takes a lot to make me cry while watching a movie :P And while Snow White and her Prince are still low on my favori couple list, I can't say I didn't l’amour the true love's Kiss at the end ou the l’amour songs they sang.

Princess:

I love Snow White! I thought she was so cute and sweet and I l’amour her voice. She has moved up my favori princess list. She was number 10 on my favori princess list, but now she's 6.

Movie:

I had so much fun watching this with my husband and it brought back so many memories and so much nostalgia. This movie was also 10 on my favori princess movie list, and is now 6.

Rating: 7/10

How much has my opinion changed?

So much! As I've a dit before this movie brought up so much nostalgia and I had fun watching it. This really was the movie that started it all and it deserves all the l’amour it gets.

Would I watch it again?

Yes! And this time I won't wait 18 years.

Okay this was fun to write and it was fun watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I'm excited for suivant week when I'll be watching Sleeping Beauty.

Chapter 10

The school Principal, who was about to pack his papers for the day, was surprised to see Ariel and three children walking up to his desk. Seeing that they have to tell him something important, he kindly allowed them seats (and lollipops for the children). When Ariel and the kids detailed him about many episodes of bullies mocking Melody, his face was filled with compassion and sympathy. The kids gave him the names of the bullies he requested so he can call their parents.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure that toi won't shed another tear," he a dit to Melody.

"Thanks, sir," a dit Melody, softly...

Ariel lifted her eyelids open as the sun rays via the window curtains kissed her face. She rose up from her lit and looked at the clock on the mur in front of her. it a dit six-thirty two. She walked out of her room and went inside Melody's room.

"Melody? Wake up," Ariel softly patted her on the shoulder. Melody rose from her lit very groggily.

"Good morning, sweetie!" Ariel said, cheerfully.

"Good morning," a dit Melody. She stretched her arms. Meanwhile, Eric was walking in toward Melody's room to wake her up. He was surprised to see that Ariel had already woken Melody up. He smiled, relieved...

Flynn Rider: This is the story of how I died, but don't worry this actually a pretty "fun" story and the truth is... It isn't even mine. This is the story of a girl named Rapunzel, and it starts with the sun. Now, once upon a time, a single drop of sunlight fell from the Heavens. And from this small drop of sun grew a magic golden flower. It has the ability to heal the sick and injured. Oh, toi see that old woman over there? toi might wanna remember her. She's kinda important. Well, centuries past and a hop, skip and a bateau ride away... there grew a kingdom. The kingdom was ruled by...

Because I haven't seen her movie in a while I don't have too much of an opinion of her but I do like her. I do like how curious she is and I always think it's funny that she just straight up eats whatever she finds without hesitation -BB2010

I l’amour how she is very curious and unlike other female protagonists at the time, actually did go through a character arc. She had to learn that nonsense had its place but having it happen all the time just isn't the way for a world to function. I l’amour how she can be frustrated but also be fun-loving. She has a spunky, fiery, and witty side to her that may...
