 Cheer up, Beast.
Cheer up, Beast.
Hi guys, I remember that a few months ago. I wrote about Gerard Butler playing the beast, so here are my other choices, including Butler himself and my reasons why. So, here we go!

1. Joaquin Phoenix

I saw video clips of him in the 2000 film, Quills. Which I think it set around the same time as Beauty and the Beast, I personally think that he's the perfect candidate for the character.

2. Patrick Wilson

This musical theatre veteran had play in populaire musicals, in the likes of Carousel, Oklahoma and as Raoul in the 2004 Phantom of the Opera. He serenades us with his chant and is also a perfect candidate as the Beast/ Prince Adam!

3. Gerard Butler

Yes, Patrick Wilson's costar in Phantom, he is capable of playing a sympathetic character and this would be his first Disney movie if he was cast as the Beast!

4. Hugh Jackman

Another musical theatre veteran, I was very amazed over his portrayal as Valjean. Ironically, he played Gaston in the Australian production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast in Melbourne many years ago, so it's interesting that he transited from Gaston to the lonesome beast!

Conclusion

These are basically my 4 choices on the beast if Dan Stevens had not been cast, enjoy and if your favourites are not included. Please feel free to comment!

 10. Mulan & Shang
"True l’amour begins when nothing is looked for in return." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery
"True l’amour begins when nothing is looked for in return." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery

This really shouldn't come to anybody's surprise. Throughout most of the film Shang believes that Mulan is actually a man. I don't doubt for one seconde that they don't l’amour and respect each other, but we don't get to see any romance between them (not including the sequel). They never dance, never serenade each other with a romantic song.
"I like that Mulan's and Shang's l’amour story starts with a friendship - not that we see much of the actual l’amour story, but what's there...

I thought it would be good to see in which order are précédant hairstyles eliminated. I would specially like to thank to all people who were voting, because we had some issues, like rigging and that, so I have to redo half of this, but I hope that results are almost fair

40.Mulan’s soldier updo:
“It's not pretty, she looks like a guy which is kinda the point” (KataraLover)

This hairstyle was eliminated with 50% among 40 other hairstyles in the first round. No wonder, I mean, look at it

39. Ariel with hat:
“She looks like Icabod Crane” (founten)

Some people don't even remember...

Mulan: "Hero" Mariah Carey
 Lyrics speak for themself
Lyrics speak for themself

"Then a hero comes along
with the strength to carry on
And toi cast your fears aside
Because toi know toi can survive
So when toi feel like hope is gone,
Look inside toi and be strong
Then toi finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you"

Ariel: "A Place in this World" Taylor Swift
I chose this song for Ariel because how she feels how of place, and nobody is backing her up on it

"I'm alone, on my own
And that's all I know
I'll be strong, I'll be wrong
Hey, but life goes on
Oh, I'm just a girl
trying to find a place in this world"

After all the hype, merchandise and racial débats The Princess and the Frog finally made it to the big screen, confiture packed with a variety of different aspects that where inspired par other media. However not one of my favourite princess films, I can appreciate it was a good attempt and can enjoy certain aspects of its story. Now lets look at the concoction of literature, précédant films and art stirred together in the Gumbo pot to make Disney's latest fairy tale.

The original text that the film's plot was loosely based of which is a novel released only 7 years prior in 2002 with the title...

Well, Diluka wanted another one, and here it is. Yeah, I don’t follow the order of the films this time around; I’ll jump a little bit between the earlier and the later ones. And with “The Little Mermaid” I think it’s the best to work through the elements of the story point to point to show, where Disney moves away from the source text and where it (surprisingly) doesn’t. But before we come to that, I want to point out something: The source text is in this case much different compared to the ones of the Grimm fairy tales. Those were a collection of preexisting oral lore. While the...

In light of Valentine’s Day, I decided to write an article on the Disney Princess couple’s that I believe have the best and most realistic relationship. Oh, and spoiler alert: I only really like 4 of them.

Couples I DON’T like…

10. Mulan & Shang

 Mulan & Shang
Mulan & Shang

I l’amour Mulan – she’s intelligent, Rebelle and selfless. And Shang’s no novice either; in fact, his bravery, leadership and courage are practically matchless. But their relationship, it was too sudden; too forced. They lacked chemistry. Make no mistake, I l’amour Mulan and Shang, they’re great – just not together....
