I know it was a while il y a since I promised I would defend the Disney Princesses, but it's been hard trying to figure out how to set it up.

Snow White's voice is annoying

Remember, this is a reason why people don't like her. Snow White is always shunned and for shallow reasons like this. Her looks are also insulted as well as her dress.THESE ARE NO REASONS TO HATE A PRINCESSES!!! I'm sorry for hitting the all trophée button, but it's extremely annoying when people judge a princess par her looks and voice. It's like hating someone in real life because they're fat ou they're ugly. I guess I have no right to tell people how to judge princesses, but I really wish people would judge based on personality, instead of looks.

Elsa is selfish and a coward

Sadly, I was one of those people who used to think this. I don't see how Elsa is selfish, considering everything she did was for the sake of others. Locking her self up and assuming running away from Arendelle. Trust me, I once thought so too, but she left Arendelle because she thought she was a danger to the kingdom, and she had no idea what she did. As for being a coward, I agree she ran away from her problems, but all good characters have flaws, and which, par the way Elsa's whole character revolved around her flaws.

Belle is snobbish and judgemental

I see how many people missed the whole point of Belle's character. This is commonly used when despising Belle's character, but what happened to not judging people par looks? I thought that was the whole point of her character. Yeah,'she judged par what's in the Beast's heart, but how is that a bad thing? Someone can be judged without it being bad, toi know. Her being called snobby was because of the way she denied Gaston. In her defense, Gaston was being a jerk and kind of controlling. It's not Belle's fault he was being butthurt about it.

Merida and Ariel are brats

The reason why I put these together because it's always for the same reasons. People say because they were disobedient they are bad role models, but I have to disagree. While they were disobedient, the wanted freedom and saw something their parents. Such as the humans being good and breaking tradition. They tried explaining this to their parents, but their parents wouldn't listen. Besides, aren't all teenagers rebellious these days one way ou another? So, while I agreed they were rebellious, it was for good reasons.

Anna is an air head

I actually think Anna was intelligent for what she went through, but nobody else does. People call her stupid for trying to go after Elsa and marrying a man she just met (I'll get to that suivant part). I don't think a lot of what she did is stupid, but she has been in a château her whole life, with nobody to talk to except for servants. It's kind of hard to talk to people when toi can't go out and interact with people. As for going after Elsa, how is that stupid? Elsa wanted to be left alone, true, but toi have to remember Anna wasn't only trying to help her sister, but trying to save a kingdom she was temporarily in charge of. It also shows how Anna doesn't give up on her sister.

Rapunzel is a Mary Sue

Honestly, I don't see it. Mary Sues are supposed to be poorly made characters right? They typically don't have flaws, they are unrealistic, things along those lines? I don't know about toi guys, but I found not realizing Gothel's actions as abuse a relatable flaw. Also, the fact that she was too afraid to leave her tower. I don't really see wher people see her as a Mary Sue, but I hope it's not for those reasons.

Pocahontas is historically inaccurate

I guess this is something that would truly drive some people nuts, but I don't see how it really matters considering the inaccuracies in all DP movies. Actually...Disney films in general. I just wish people could enjoy Disney films without worrying about these things. I get there are people where everything needs to be perfect, but if that's the case, perhaps Disney isn't the place for you. Just watch an enjoy the movie and stop finding reasons to hate it!!!!

Elsa and Anna are ripoffs of Rapunzel

Okay, I get it if toi think they look similar to Rapunzel, but that in no way makes them ripoffs. What bothers me though, is every time a new Disney movie comes out there is always a character that people claim is a "ripoff" of Rapunzel. Honey citron from Big Hero 6, heck, I've already heard people say Moana is a ripoff, who has hardly been seen anywhere, besides a few places here and there. *Eyeroll*. It's getting really annoying.

Merida doesn't meet Disney Princess "standards"

I've heard this from the same few people here, and par the way- yes she does meet standards. The standards of being a Disney Princess is that they are a princess (with a few exceptions), they are human and their films are successful. All of which, Merida fits. So yeah, she meets standards. But the fans on her seem to believe since she isn't the kindest and since she isn't apart of a musical she's not "princess material". I call it stereotyping, but fans on here call it "meeting standards". Merida is a princess, and she meets all qualifications for it, so yes actually she does meet standards. There is no standards in personality, if there was this would be a very boring franchise.

That's it for now, but don't worry! This is only first part! There are way too many things to defend for just one article.

 What's a Disney Princess?
What's a Disney Princess?
What makes a Disney Princess?

There are several points that make a Disney female character a Disney Princess;
She must be produced par hand drawing, she must sing at least once in her movie (in solo ou duet) and she must either be born to royalty ou marry into royalty ou in some cases, both.

The OTPs

Princess Snow White, Princess Aurora, Princess Ariel and Princess Cendrillon were all painfully hand drawn par the Disney artists and were animated to have at least one song meeting the technical side of their requirements. Princess Snow White, Princess Aurora, Princess Ariel were born to royalty and...

It’s kind of odd that the opening scene in the movie is last in our countdown. Here is where we meet our hero AND our villain. They are setting sail from England to the new world in chercher of the three G’s; Glory, God and Gold. We also meet Thomas, a young clumsy boy on the road to becoming a man. He immediately strikes...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from Disney Princess Il était une fois Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," ou "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," ou "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

Awhile ago, linkabout which Houses the Princesses would be in, and several of toi requested that I do one about the princes as well. I’m pleased to announce that this is it!

But before I begin my analyses, it’s time for some disclaimers…

1. About the Houses. Here’s how I tend to think of the Houses of Hogwarts. (Note: I will be saying the most about Slytherin, since Slytherin is most often distorted.)

Gryffindor: values bravery, daring, bold decision-making, rule-breaking, following one’s dreams, standing up for one’s friends, and being global, ensemble “fun”/pleasant/courageous.

Slytherin...
