I'm not so good at lists so this is going to be really half-assed.

13.Rapunzel
This name just sounds...awkward.It is fun to say but it's plain compared to the others.

Fun Fact:In the original story a woman was pregnant and would only eat rapunzel which was a type of salade, laitue that only grew in their witch neighbour's garden so her husband snuck into her garden and the woman caught him, promising to spare him if he gave her their daughter and when she was born, she kidnapped her and named her after the plant.*gasps for breath*

12.Snow White
I do like this name but it's plus of a description. It has a nice ring to it but I just prefer the others.

Fun Fact:Well,we all know the story behind this name.

11.Jasmine
It sounds so...how should I put it...refreshing?I don't know. There's something about it that's so fresh to the ears.

Fun Fact:Jasmine flower. Also,in the original tale, her name was Badroulbadour, though I can see why the writers changed it.

10.Mulan
There's something epic and empowering about this name that I can't quite put my finger on.

Fun Fact:It means magnolia ou another flower.

9.Belle
I really like this name! It's simple yet pretty and has a nice ring to it(pun intended). It's light and airy. It's soft and graceful.Plus, there's a French vibe to it that makes it complete. It gets really hard from now on because I l’amour all the other names.

Fun Fact:It's no wonder that her name means beauty...
Oh come on,I had to do it.

8.Merida
I l’amour how this is pronounced!Like Belle has a French vibe, this has a Scottish vibe and just flows along. It's tough and scratchy-no wait, that came out wrong. There's something rough and fearless about it's pronunciation-I suck at expressing my feelings.

Fun Fact:Um..I've got nothing.

7.Tiana
This name is sharp, yet graceful! It's pretty. It's 1am so everything else is going to be even plus brief than this.

Fun Fact:Once again,nothing.

6.Pocahontas
This name is majestic and rolls off the tongue smoothly.

Fun Fact:It means Little Mischief and in real life,it's just her nickname.

5.Cinderella
Like Pocahontas,it's majestic and graceful, not to mention soft and wispy. It's like...honey.It's smooth and flowing.

Fun Fact:In the original tale, her birth name was Ella and one of her stepsisters nicknamed her Cendrillon because due to her sitting par the fire, cinders gathered up on her.The other nicknamed her Cinderwetch.

4.Elsa
My haut, retour au début 4 is basically tied;I l’amour them so much! This name is clear and pretty and sharp. It's also elegant.

Fun Fact:Her name means truth in Spanish,Swedish and American.

3.Ariel
I l’amour how rockily it rolls off the tongue.

Fun Fact:It means Lion of God.

2.Aurora
This name is so majestic and elegant.

Fun Fact:It's a word,Aurora Borealis.

1.Anna
This name is soft, light, graceful and wispy.I used to think it was pronounced with a short a but I prefer it with a long a.

Fun Fact:It means grace.

So that's it!Not bad for being written at 2am.
I'm actually looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to watching this a little plus than I did when I had to watch Maleficent. This remake may not live up to the standards of the original but personally it's always been enjoyable to watch.

Tonight's rewatch: Cinderella
Last time watched: 2017-2018

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The first time I watched Cendrillon I did like it and there were some changes I liked but then there were some changes I really had to question. Even with the problems I have with this movie I still like to watch it every now and then.

How much of this movie have I forgotten:

Since the...

This is another sequel I haven't seen in forever. Longer than forever, actually. I would say I'm excited to watch this but after Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World I'm not looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to watching this one.

Tonight's rewatch: Cendrillon II: Dreams Come True
Last time watched: 2002

How much did I like this movie as a kid?
The beginning of this story is exactly the same as the one about Pocahontas 2; I wasn't into the original that much when I was a kid, but then this cartoon Disney movie with familiar faces came out, begged my dad to get me a copy, fin. But unlike Pocahontas 2 I actually did...

Here's the article for Pocahontas!

I know in the past I've made commentaires about how I don't like this movie because it's been a dit that the tale of Pocahontas saving John was a lie and I've also a dit I can't stand Pocahontas and John together because it's gross Pocahontas was aged up for this movie. However I will watch this movie and just enjoy it without thinking about those things.

By now toi should all know what I write about in these articles so I'll just go ahead and start!

Tonight's rewatch: Pocahontas
Last time watched: Summer of 2011

Now with all the issues, people have with Disney, one of the films that have legitimate grievances is Pocahontas. And as toi can imagine, because there ARE legit grievances to be had with Pocahontas, sites like Tumblr have an absolute field jour with it. Personally, the plus research I did on the situation around this film, the plus I was actually fascinated par it.

I know it's easy to write this movie off but how it came to be is a lot plus nuanced than toi think. It actually was gonna be a story closer to what happened in history but then Jefferey Katzenberg's overwhelming desire to get another...

Though not nearly as much as Merida and other revival princesses,Tiana is occasionally bashed for contributing to Disney's current trend of "meta", "woke" commentary with her whole "hard work, toi can't just wish" shtick. While this does irritate me, I try to separate film makers' intentions from the actual context of the movie and the character.

In the first act of the film, she's portrayed as diligent and determined but she's not as in your face about it. For the most part, her thing is "partying and dancing just isn't my for me". She's not insistent, condescending ou critical of others for...

As asteriamalfoy recently reported on the club wall, it appears that Moana will soon become the newest member of the Disney Princess lineup. The club's reception to the news is a mixed bag, which is the latest example of how the general fanpop opinion (namely, this club's opinion) doesn't always match that of the internet. It's interesting why that is, and I will attempt to find the reason here.

Before going forward, be aware that everything that I consider an "opinion" of fanpop and/or the internet is a generalization. True, there are some users on both this website and the rest of the worldwide...

Cinderella château and Wishing Well

I've written many posts about the various attractions in Disney theme parks based around the films I've been watching. Some have been prominent rides such as Snow White's Scary Adventure ou Pinocchio's Daring Journey. Others have been obscure areas such as the Fantasia golfing attraction ou ephemeral like Bambi's presence in the parks. Some have merely been meet and greets.

Cinderella, however, is a film whose impact on Disney theme parks is huge. It forms, after all, the centre-piece of Disney World itself - Cinderella's Castle; a massive structure visible...

A Disney Tale: A young girl is forced into drudgery par her step-family, only to win the cœur, coeur of the kingdom's Prince and live happily ever after.

Disney Hero: Ostensibly, the 'hero' of Cendrillon is the Prince (never actually referred to as Prince Charming, despite that being what he is generally known as today. Some sources have him named as Henry.). It is he who romances Cendrillon and desires her as his wife after the ball. But, actually, the real Heroes of Cendrillon - for me - are Jaq and Gus, Cinderella's mice friends. They are the one's who rescue Cendrillon from her attic room. Jaq...

This is what I think Merida's princess liste would be if she were fan of Disney Princesses. We will never know for certain what Merida's princess liste would be, but we can make general assumptions. I think while some of toi may not agree with every placement, the general ranking of who would be at the bottom, middle , and haut, retour au début of her liste will be the same in all of our opinions:) Thanks to wavesurf for helping me out!

10. Aurora

Predictably, Merida wouldn't have a taste for the classic princesses. Aurora would likely be in last place. Merida's main gripe against Aurora would be that she let...

toi can call this an article to defend the princesses. Not only Classic DPs, other princesses probably get a lot of hate on any false statement. Those misconceptions which people tend to hate some DPs about, aren’t entirely true btw.

Snow White – Backboneless

Umm, some people do say this at times. Just because she was in distress and was rescued par a man, doesn’t mean she’s backboneless. Okay, fans might blame her for overacting and being afraid of some trees, but that isn’t timid. Some people have a mental disorder called Nyctohylophobia, that is the fear of trees. So, facing...
