PHILOSOPHY MAJOR
Probably not what you’re expecting, but I hope to montrer that Aurora is very suited to philosophy.
To begin with, in Aurora's bedroom - if we look closely - we will see that she has two books. Being the 14th century (a century before Gutenberg's printing press) not only would livres be very expensive and rare but literacy rates were very low - even lower considering her demographic: sixteen, female, peasant. par having livres at this time, education / knowledge is extremely important in the household and Aurora is most likely very well educated (=at least literate).
Perceptive and Curious
The most important point first: when Aurora goes walking in the woods, she doesn’t just observe nature, but she questions it. Not the arguably plus basic W’s (=who, what, when, where, ou how), but “why”. She already knows the réponses to the others, but she doesn’t understand why (=the cause, reason, ou purpose, etc..) for the behaviour of the animals.
She devotes a whole song which not only questions her ongoing observations of biology (=I wonder why each little bird...) but also questions if such observations could apply to herself (=If my cœur, coeur keeps singing...).
Even though she has lived a very sheltered and isolated life, she is very perceptive and curious to the world around her - perfect for philosophy.
Level-headedness and Patience
To be a good philosopher, Aurora would need to evaluate different ideas and situations while understanding each point of view. It would be time-consuming as well as hard work (=hard ‘thinking’ work) Aurora did this when she responsibly returned accueil after meeting the stranger, and when she dutifully went along with the betrothal and arranged marriage.
From my personality analysis of Aurora, I believe that she is educated and conscious about betrothal because she knows how socially, politically, and legally important jouer la comédie as a princess is. It’s this kind of contextual approach which would help Aurora form a well-supported (philosophical) decision.
Questions the rules
Now, this isn’t to say she’s headstrong, rebellious, ou reckless, etc.. Rather, she will think things through, even the 'rules' which are usually assumed. For example, she wonders why the fairy aunts still treat her like a child (in the forest), and when they weren’t happy at her setting a rendez-vous amoureux, date she asked why because, after all, she is sixteen.
As such, not only is she willing to logically think things though, but she is also willing to question her core beliefs and assumptions as well
-
Because of these reasons and personality traits, I think Aurora would be very well suited to philosophy.
Her major is undecided. Not because she lacks focus, but because she's keeping her options open.
MINOR: MUSICAL THEATRE
Aurora, par describing her dream and par acting, dancing, and chant to her ‘dream prince’, is a very creative girl. In fact, she has enough imagination to practice and perform alone. As in her “Once upon a Dream” song, she uses her talent to make costumes and hommages come alive.
In musical theatre, she can develop and perform the stories which have the themes that she is most interested in: rebellion and love.
She doesn't have an extra-curricular because she has this. Not only is she having fun, but she's getting credit too.
STEREOTYPE: The Dreamer
Rather than studying indoors, Aurora would rather be lire and thinking quietly under a tree. When she’s not on campus, you’d usually find her in the nearest park; wandering through the woods, wondering about life, and chant to herself. She’s kinda shy but always up for a thoughtful discussion.
Both her subjects are something she can do which suit her quiet, peaceful, and thoughtful personality.

Since I am trying to make the Princess Of The mois plus popular, this is another one of my ideas. In the end of each mois I'll post articles, based on the countdowns for songs, hairstyles and outfits. There everybody will have the chance to discuss whether they agree with the results, what corresponded to their expectations, and what they wish would have been different!
Once again, I will be using pictures for my articles. A few months back I would have made a detailed explanation about each result, but since the récent changes, fanpop has been jouer la comédie really weird. And yes, I don't like the option of écriture long paragraphs with text, while the pictured are all clustered in the bottom of the article! So under each picture I will be posting one comment, related to the result. So in case toi don't want your commentaires posté in my articles, please contact me!
Here are the results of the POTM Songs Countdown: ~*Rapunzel*~ (January 2013)! Enjoy and share your opinion!
