La Reine des Neiges Movie Review!
Hi everyone! I stumbled upon the Disney Princess page while I was lire movie reviews for Frozen. I absolutely l’amour Disney and enjoyed lire the articles posté par other members, and I wanted to write my opinion on how La Reine des Neiges compares to the other Disney Princess films, its faults, and where it succeeds.

I broke the review up into 3 sections: Music, Story & Characters.

Music
Unfortunately, like Princess and the Frog, I believe La Reine des Neiges only really had one stand out song (“Let it Go”), the rest weren’t particularly enjoyable ou memorable. “In Summer” and “Fixer Upper” were like “Under the Sea” ou “Be Our Guest” in the way that they didn’t do much to advance the plot. The difference is that the latter songs stand the test of time, while the La Reine des Neiges songs just seemed like filler. I found “First time in forever” a lyrically weak song (“The window is open, so is that door!”) where she is just narrating pointless things (although it was humorous latter on)., “Love is an open door” (the song between the l’amour interests) doesn’t compare with songs like “Whole New World” ou “I See the Light” but I did find it catchy and enjoyable and I loved the Princes’ voice. Of the newer films (Tangled, Princess and the Frog, and Frozen), I think Raiponce had the best songs overall, but La Reine des Neiges had the single best song of all of them with “Let It Go”. Idina Menzel has such a unique and powerful voice that is very distinct and different from all the other Disney princesses which is something I really appreciate. I believe “Let It Go” is emotionally powerful and possibly the best Princess song since “Part of Your World”.

Characters
While I liked the characters, it was pretty clear that Disney was trying to replicate the success of Raiponce par borrowing archetypes. Kristoff, the mountain man, was unlike anyone Anna had met before. He didn’t seem to care much for her ou what anyone thought of him. He didn’t have any Friends and was an orphan. He found himself obligated to go on a journey with Anna, and while at first he couldn’t care less about her and wanted to get rid of her, he eventually grew to l’amour her. The problem is that story has been done before and done better, in Tangled. Anna herself resembled Rapunzel in many ways. From being trapped in her château and longing to leave, to her innocence and the way she acts, to her looks – she was plus similar to Rapunzel then she was to her sister, Elsa. Anna was incredible immature at the beginning of the film – she falls in l’amour quickly, and even leaves someone she just met in charge of the château – but I do not hold this against her, because she showed incredible character growth over the film. It was almost as if she was an old fashioned Disney princess making the transition into a new aged one. Elsa in my opinion is the strongest, most original character in La Reine des Neiges and one of my favori princesses. The powers Elsa has could easily corrupt her, but they don’t, because of her strong moral character. She obeys her parents (unlike most Disney princesses) and conceals them from everyone, including Anna, and is willing to live a life alone and isolated just so she cannot hurt anyone. She makes the hard choice, and chooses to hurt herself before she hurts others. She is called a monster and ridiculed, and unlike any other princess, she does not have a prince, which I think is very refreshing and goes to montrer that toi don’t need to get a guy to have a happy ending. Elsa’s happy ending is family and overcoming her disability, and as a Queen, she goes on to rule the Kingdom. Elsa is an incredibly strong character and definitely one of the better role mannequins for young girls. Olaf is the comic relief and does a surprisingly good job! I thought he was going to be somewhat annoying from the trailers, but he was a very funny, lovable character who actually had most of the laughs in the film. Lastly, the villain. Without giving away anything, I found the villain in the story to be weak and underdeveloped, probably the most forgettable of any of the villains in the Disney Princess films, although it does somewhat make sense as Elsa’s powers act as an obstacle themselves.
Overall, I loved Elsa, and while I did like the other characters as well, they couldn’t help but feel recycled ou forgettable.

Story/Themes
La Reine des Neiges is a nice mixture of action, adventure, humor and song, and although it slows a bit in parts, it is still very enjoyable. La Reine des Neiges has many of the classic Disney moral’s, like that it’s important to be true to yourself, anyone can be a hero, and not to judge people par appearances. The ideal central to many Disney movies, that l’amour conquers all, is present in Frozen, but it is portrayed in a refreshingly original way. The theme of the struggle between intimacy and isolation is explored beautifully through Elsa and Kristoff’s stories. It is hard to get to in depth with themes and story without giving things away, so I will just say that I did find it enjoyable. While not my favori Disney Princess film, it is certainly not my least favorite, and I believe it will stand up fairly well to repeat viewings. The animation and 3D, while not as sentimental and warm as 2D, was absolutely beautiful. toi could watch this movie will the sound off and still enjoy it.

In conclusion, La Reine des Neiges was a great film and didn’t disappoint – it’s simply not as great as others in the canon, cannon and has a few faults, mainly due to Disney borrowing elements from Raiponce and attempting to recreate its success. I may make a direct comparison article between Raiponce and La Reine des Neiges latter, if you’d be interested in lire that ou something else, let me know! I just joined fanpop and am looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to écriture and lire plus articles!! Feel free to share your opinion (good ou bad) on this one below!

I was on Youtube recently link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mx1MmY1Bb50 (If toi go down to the 60 replies). Someone thought Belle didn't have a job (and the triplets did) because she had enough 'free time to read and became delusional about life in 'poor provincial town' (not my words). The exactly wording of what the user a dit was "I'm wondering that Belle are doing then even those triplets have their own jobs and responsibilities. Maybe idleness made her delusional? That life can be found outside of her town? " I pointed out that in historical speaking in those times women were...

A lot of people on fanpop say that Merida is selfish and not not a good role model. Personally, I think that is far from the truth.

Merida wasn't being totally selfish when she went to the witch. Impulsive, yes. Her mind was clouded par all the emotion she felt and acted before she thought things through. When she asked for a potion that would change her mother, I think she wanted something to change her mothers MIND. Not her personality.
I think Merida is actually quite selfless. When her plan to change her mother went awry, she didn't even hesitate to help her mom. She went totally out of...

So yeah, there's gonna be spoilers, so if toi haven't watched it I recommend leaving now. BYE! Anyway, in this review I'll go over the characters, soundtrack, animation, and story line. This review is probably gonna be really positive since I absolutely loved the movie, but I'll try and keep a level head and give some of the bad points in this review as well. So lets get started!

The Characters

Let's start off with the most important thing to me, the characters. A movie's plot can be terrible, but if I'm with a great character during that time, I can endure it, and Frozen's characters definitely...

I just had this crazy idea - In the suivant months, I'll write a series of 8 articles (well, I'll continue only if toi like them, of course). The first 7 articles will be about separate aspects of the DP films (Score, princess, couple, screenplay, villain, sidekicks and animation/art), and in the final article I'll make the average of the grades I gave the films in each aspect and make my favori DP films liste = )

The first article is about the scores! Enjoy =D BTW, all the pictures I used feature my favori song from each movie.

10. Cinderella - 7,0

It sure has a lot of nice songs –...

Decided that when I write my fan-fiction about Arista, that there would be a few new characters in it. I'm calling the story; Mermaid Tales. I want to use Ariel's sisters, as well as a few from the télévision series such as Urchin, Gabriella and Ollie, and Pearl. These are a few of the characters I came up with for the story.

Just pretend it's pink, okay? -_-U

Cory
Taken from "coral." Cory is one of Arista's friends. She's unbelievably bubbly and crazy but a very loyal friend. She loves the color rose and has a rose tail-fin and top. She often wears a pair of red starfish earrings. She...

toi know, after a couple of years of loving Disney princesses and learning to l’amour for them and even wish tht was my life, i have figured out a couple of things.
To my knowing ther is only 10 official princesses yet I beg to differ.
Snow White
Cinderella
Aurora
Belle
Ariel
Jasmine
Mulan
Pochantos
Tiana
Rupunzal
See, wht i think an offical princess is well.... well this is the definition of one
daughter of a king, ou marries a son of a king
except they use monarch instead but still. So therefore 2 of those people on the liste are actual not real princesses. The two would be Mulan and Pochantos
The rest make...

I've already written an article about why I think the classic princesses are great role models, but now I wanted to write about their intelligence. The vote about who the most intelligent classic princess was inspired me to write this, and I've just been in a écriture mood in general. I won't be ranking them, just giving the reasons as to why I believe they're intelligent. So I hope toi all enjoy this article!! Let's get started!

Snow White

Snow White is often painted as the dumbest of the three, namely because of her eating of the apple. First off, being naive doesn't necessarily mean not...

I thought since Anna and Elsa have joined the lineup, I should write my prettiest list. This is based purely on looks, so I'm gonna be completely shallow. Keep in mind that this is my opinion. And what better way to follow up my favoris liste than with a prettiest list?

12. Merida
*Takes in HUGE breath and breathes out* Merida. Surprise, surprise, my least favori DP is in last place. But I promise, I'm not being biased. I honestly don't find Merida attractive AT ALL. First off, her hair is absolutely gorgeous. Her eyes are pretty, but can be kinda creepy sometimes. I personally don't like...

salut guys I'm PrincessVT and my real name is Vanessa Wesline Toussaint. That's a hatian last name so gasp! I'm hatian. Just kidding, I know hatian and fluent french both because that's my language.

I'm 13 years old and new and no good with writing. I like écriture as a sport but I'm not too creative with it.

I didn't see La Reine des Neiges but in a few years, (Disney usually do this with Disney Princesses) I'll watch it.

I like Disney but I don't think my Friends could relate... People think I'm annoying and childish. Eat Cat h8ters! (No I don't eat cat)

I like orcra, vegetables (cooked), meat... (Like birds...

9.Jasmine
I used to think jasmin wasn't all that pretty. But when I watched her film I realized she's much prettier in motion than she is in still clips. Even so, though, I never found her all that attractive, even as a kid. She has a big nose and her eyes look freakishly large in a lot of scenes. When they get her right, she's pretty, but that's only in about 2 scenes. I think she looks like an alien most of the time.

8.Ariel
I know a lot of people find Ariel to be cute. And really, I agree. Despite being my favori princess, I think she looks sort of...cute, at best. She's got...
