Okay well I've already done one of these, but that was before I discovered these little "format" everyone's been using which kind of sucked because, well, it's a good format. So here is my redo getting-to-know article.

First Name:Lily, but my real name is Lillian. Don't call me that though. I hate it. Lily is fine.

Country of Origin:Okay, read to be blow away? I'm from Iran. I wasn't born there, I was born in the United states, but both my parents were. For the uneducated who think Iran is the same thing as Iraq and are about to comment, "But there's a war there!": here's a map. Your welcome.

Favorite Disney Movie:Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and The Beast. I can't decide.

Hobbies:Swimming, reading, singing, playing piano, DRAWING, écriture Harry Potter fan fiction, écriture my own stories, watching movies, hanging out with my friends.

Music I like:My favori artist is Taylor Swift. Her songs inspire me & I just l’amour her voice. I also like Regina Spektor, Adele, Birdy, and Christina Perri. I'm also absolutely in l’amour with American folk musique and Celtic music. So beautiful.

Movies I like:Obviously Disney, but also other animated movies, like Anastasia and The Prince of Egypt. I'm also a sucker for classic movies,like The Sound of musique and Gone With the Wind. I also l’amour The Help, Flipped, War Horse, Bridge to Terabithia, the Toy Story Trilogy, Winters Bone, and so many more.

Books I read: My three favori book series ever are The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson & The Olympians, and Harry Potter. They are the loves of my life. I also like Flipped, amer Melon, I Like Him He Likes Her. The most récent book I read was Jane Austen's Emma, and I loved it!

I've held it like this since pre-school.

Something quirky about me:I hold my pencil like this. Yes, it's very strange, but that's me. I also collect shoes with buckles.

Sometimes she feels like my best friend.

At my worst I am:Defensive and crabby, and will snap at everything toi say.

starlight77 Woah that's weird how you hold a pencil. I don't think wanting to be a lawyer is boring. I think it's an interesting career but I could never go through all the school. DreamyGal I used to hold my pencil in a unique way as well, but for some reason my parents made me write the correct way. I was also writing with my left hand, and they made me use my right instead, thinking that it would make things easier for me if I were right handed. I still do a lot of things with my left hand though, like cutting my food up, and putting on mascara.

She is very cute in a very childish way. Her eyes are enormous and her body is skinny. This makes her cute.She isn't beautiful which puts her down here. Her long blonde hair is very pretty. Her brown hair makes her look even cuter! Her smile is cute too. Everything is...SO. DARN. CUTE!!

Anna is also cute and even though I don't like her hair her smile, to me is very pretty. Her eyes are cute as well. She kind of looks like Rapunzel so I think that puts her down here. Who knows maybe she looks better in the movie? But until I see it (D:) she will stay in the cute zone.

A common complaint against Ariel is how she changes herself ou gives up her fins, family and world for a guy. This doesn't bother me too much since the film establishes that she desperately wanted legs and life on land even before she saw Eric. Just listen to "Part of That World."

That's not the focus of this article though. Another common criticism is how losing her voice and trying to woo Eric anyway sends a message to young girls that toi don't need to have opinions ou a personality to get a man. That all toi need is a pretty face.

I have two rebuttals for this argument.

So, I watched the movie, and my global, ensemble opinion is that it is good........not great. I say this because while the characters are nice, and the songs, the story needs some work. There are some plotholes that are jarring, and the fact that most of this takes place in 24 hours is a bit problematic for me. Even the character development and the relationship building could have been better.

Have toi ever felt that toi were watching yourself up on screen when toi watch a Disney Princess movie? I read this book called Disney Girls It is about a group of Friends who recognize themselves as special people that are like Disney Princesses (they are one and the same). The Disney Princesses here are Paula (Pocahontas), Yukiko (Snow White), Ella (Cinderella), Isabelle (Belle), jasmin (Jasmine), and Ariel (Ariel).

First of all, I don't own the book series. It was written par Gabrielle Charbonnet.

I know you're not surprised. I l’amour her voice, I think it's very unique. But at the same time it can be extremely annoying. Have toi seen the official Disney Princess website?
