I want to make it clear- I l’amour THE MOVIE ALADDIN, I l’amour every character in it- except Aladdin. And finally, i'll tell toi why.
I didn't really organize this well because I couldn't figure this out.

Main issues- Aladdin's sexist/classicism assumptions, and Jasmine's hypocrisy

Scenario: Aladin sees jasmin in the marketplace, falls for her, brings her back to his poor-boy hut, and together they have a cœur, coeur to cœur, coeur about how they feel trapped par their situations. Although jasmin doesn't explicitly state that she is a princess, she does hint that it's not an enjoyable life. "Oh sure, people who tell toi where to go, and how to dress..."
She discusses how she's getting forced to get married and how awful it is. They have a cute moment and nearly kiss, when they're broken up. Princess-in-disguise jasmin is about to Kiss rue rat Aladdin.

Cut to Aladin dressed up as a Prince approaching the town. jasmin is shown to be totally unimpressed par the big parade, rolling her eyes and scoffing at its grandiosity. Aladin grins his cocky-boy grin and enters the castle, charming the Sultan immediately. After referring to jasmin as a prize to be won, jasmin overhears and angrily scorns them for treating her as such.

Cut to Aladin talking to the genie. The genie suggests Aladin BE HIMSELF. Aladdin's response?
"If jasmin found out I was some crummy rue rat, she'd laugh at me."

WHAT.
1. toi met jasmin in the marketplace and SHE ALMOST KISSED toi WHEN SHE KNEW toi WERE A rue RAT, toi MORON. This means Aladin is just automatically assuming that because jasmin is a princess, because of her royalty, she must be shallow and only want the finest of men. This is a shallow assumption for Aladin to make, and shows he didn't listen to a word jasmin a dit while they were talking at his hut. Even though he knew her when he thought she was also poor, finding out she was a princess illogically and immediately changed his view on her.

2. If what he assumes is true, that jasmin IS shallow and only wants rich, handsome men, why would Aladdin, the boy who wants to prove that there's so much plus to him, degrade himself and act as an impostor just to win a girl he assumes has shallow morals? My only assumption is that because as he previously repeats in the movie, he thinks being rich will solve all his problems. I won't fault him for that, growing up poor all his life must really take his toll, but does he need to bring someone else down with him?

Cut to Aladin on the balcony with Jasmine. Aladin tries to act as smooth, confident Aladin who jasmin doesn't care for- but wait! Does jasmin recognize him as the rue rat from the marketplace?
Aladin agrees with jasmin when she says she is rich, the daughter of the sultan (not that he can dispute), and a 'fine prize for any prince to marry'. AGREES. And gives her the ol' up-down with his eyes. She spurns him once again for being SO materialistic and tells him to jump off a balcony, how DARE he be so shallow, like any other stuffed-shirt swaggering peacock she's met!

...Until, of course, Aladin whips out his magic carpet (no metaphor intended) and jasmin instantly turns into the materialistic, shallow person that she's been insulting others for being this whole film.
"A liar who agrees that I am only a rich, hot prize to be won? GO JUMP OFF A BALCONY! Oh, toi have a magic carpet? Never mind, let me hop on that!"
Jasmine, after discovering this guy not only is lying to her, jouer la comédie totally cocky and shallow, but also is trying to win her over with material items (as she was so unimpressed with a giant parade with many other, plus impressive magical items) rightfully and admirably spurns him, until he literally scrapes the bottom of the barrel and doesn't even try to win her over with words ou apology, just pulls out his flying machine and wow, she is charmed. AND at this point she should realize, if she suspects that he is the boy from the marketplace, that he is jouer la comédie EXACTLY the opposite of what she wants, even as she EXPRESSED to him, which should lead her to the conclusion that not only is she shallow but he was feigning interest/didn't care.

I won't dive too much into the 'A Whole New World' scene but I will say that there, Aladin is being totally possessive and controlling of Jasmine.

During their scene in China, jasmin finally tricks Aladin into revealing that he isn't who he's pretending to be- and he lies again. APPARENTLY HE STILL HASN'T REMEMBERED ou PICKED UP ON THE FACT THAT SHE REALLY LOVED THE BOY FROM THE MARKETPLACE, EVEN THOUGH SHE ACTS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN HE LIES AND SAYS THAT IT WASN'T HIM. ("I even send servants to go to the marketplace for my servants! It couldn't have been me toi met"...Jasmine: *sighs sadly* "No, I guess not.") Aladin is clearly so self-absorbed he can't even pick up on what jasmin wants. He just assumes and takes over.

Finally, let's cut to Prince Ali (Reprise).
jasmin finally discovers Aladin has been lying the whole time (revealed par Jafar, although that scene confuses me; Aladin already lied and a dit he dressed up as a rue rat to escape palace life, so how would montrer him in rue rat clothes reveal anything? Wouldn't jasmin just see the clothes as his disguise clothes? but I digress.. ) So now (somehow) she REALLY knows that he really is poor, and that he's been nonstop lying to her this whole time, as well as totally ignoring her vues and wants like everyone else, and to haut, retour au début it all off, he already KNEW what she wanted (freedom and someone to understand her and not assume things about her), and should understand perfectly as that's what Aladin wants to. But he is the worst, as he does understand but acts the opposite, because of totally shallow views.
When Aladin returns to rescue them all, there's no conflict with jasmin being upset at him, yelling at him for lying so many times, ou most preferably, getting fed up at him being so shallow, a liar, and basically treating her like crap. Instead, she just immediately welcomes him back and it's like nothing happened. There's no inner conflict, no attitude, she's just excited to see him and it's as if this girl who supposedly is supposed to not be pray to horrible men just keeps falling for his lies, ou willing herself to believe them, regardless of the implications ou non-logic. She's turned into a weaker girl than any of the princesses at that point. What? toi lose major, MAJOR points for me there, Jas.

On haut, retour au début of all this, Aladin treats his Friends like crap. He takes total advantage of Abu (who can be a pain but that's no reason to be rude), AND especially Genie, who shows nothing but kindness to Aladdin, and to who Aladin keeps abusing and taking advantage of. Whenever anyone, especially the Genie, tries to offer him advice, he yells/snaps at them ("Buzz off!") and acts incredibly self-absorbed.

Aladin is also so down on himself , the whole thing about him not being worthy of anyone
but then sings "There's so much plus to me" and says "I'm not worthless!". Its like he's both trying to prove himself, but he's self-pitying when it's convenient for him. He always wants to be the victim.

I wouldn't be so bothered par all of this if Aladin had changed in the end, but he didn't. He's still the same Aladdin. He never apologizes for his actions, except fleetingly, and to Abu, ("I'm sorry Abu, this is all my fault, I've gotta go back and set things straight.") when he should be apologizing to Genie & Jasmine. His transformation is condensed to one sentence- "I gotta stop trying to be something I'm not." toi never see any REAL transformation. And in the sequels & the TV shows he continues to boss Genie around and lie and lie again and again and again, apologizes everytime, and goes back to lying again. The cycle is this:

Aladdin: *lies*
Jasmine: *gets upset*
Aladdin: *depressed and says sorry*
Jasmine: *forgives him*

And the cycle repeats. Over and over. I'm neutral towards/ dislike Aladin in the first movie, but in the sequels I honestly hate him. I won't get into discussing how he's so much worse in the sequels, but let's just say 'Out of Thin Air' has to be one of the most condescending and disrespectful things Aladdin's ever said/sang, although I like the song.

I can't forgive Aladin for all the things I named. Assumptions, being shallow, rude to his friends, but most of all- NEVER LEARNING HIS GODDAMN LESSON.
And jasmin can't be in my haut, retour au début 3. I love her attitude, probably the thing she gets criticized most for and is actually the best part about her, but her actions I find hypocritical and weak.

And that's why I don't like Aladdin.

The biggest question about Frozen? How did Elsa get ice powers. Over the past few weeks, I have observed many theories have got her powers. Please note that none of these are mine, but I can't find the original source. If toi came up with one of these, tell me and I'll credit you.

1. Elsa was born on the Winter Solstice

We learn that Elsa was born with her powers in Frozen. That seems to suggest that there was something 'abnormal' about her birth. Maybe, like one fan suggested, she was born on the 21st of December (Winter Solstice). This would connect her back to the theme of ice and winter....

There's no doubt to a single person on here that Snow White is sweet, optimistic, and caring, but there's really so much plus to her, and I want to delve deeper into that here. Sorry for lack of pictures, I kind of just threw this together and wasn't in the mood to go searching for pictures.

I l’amour how Snow White is confident, yet insecure at the same time. She's confident in the fact that she's not scared to go into the Dwarf's accueil and boss them around. She's quite assertive and doesn't strike me as a passive character whatsoever. If something isn't going the way she likes, she isn't scared...

salut everybody! Happy DMLK day! I'll celebrate par some mixed people...

Lottie and Tia!

I like that even in their racist times Tiana and Lottie were Friends all the way... I'm sure in events before the movie, Charlotte's light skinned Friends judged her because she was Friends with Tia and Tia's darker dark skinned Friends didn't trust Lottie... I found this relationship sweet... she even risked a life-long dream for Tia. Can this friendship get anymore sweeter???

:') They've been Friends since they were 5 ou 7... unlike Pocahontas and her BFF... we don't know a lot about them... she seemed like a character after those sailors... but Lottie and Tia have that kind of friendship. The highlight is their times. Talk about racist! So yeah that's it!

This Friendship is perfect for today!

[I] I'll do it but for toi Tia, no marriage included![I]

"Elsa? Elsaa? When will the guests arrive?" a dit Anna.
Elsa shook her head.

"I think don't be too happy, they're coming here to argue. We're going to pick the best princess and from now on she can be the princess of not only her kingdom, but the whole world and Fanpop."

"And are we participating in this race, too?" asked Anna.
"Even though we're not well liked in Fanpop, aren't we being talked about everywhere?"

Before Elsa could answer, a fat maid came in and a dit that guests had arrived.

Elsa wiped the bored expression off her face and, with a perfectly queenly demeanor, opened the door. The moment...

Om Nelle is a cute and smart nommie. Those who grew up with Om Nom in their childhood remember him. Om Nelle, the wife of Om Nom, truly deserves to be a Disney princess, as much as Mulan.
Well, Om Nelle may not be a Disney princess, but Mulan isn't actually a princess either. Her heroism made Mulan a princess, even though she had nothing to do with the royal family. Om Nelle does a lot of heroics. Just like a Mulan. Moreover, it even has a crown. A tiara with a cute blue stone. But there are a few problems. For example, this crown is actually a belt. Also, even if this was a real crown, Om Nelle has nothing to do with royalty. Om Nelle is a creature, so not a human. That's okay because Nala in The Lion King is also an animal but is considered a Disney Princess. Now the only problem is, Disney didn't create Om Nelle. So she may be a princess in her own right, but never a Disney princess. She would still make a great Disney princess out of her.

As I don't want to upset Merida fans, I'm giving my final warning:
''NEVER READ THIS article IF toi l’amour MERİDA''
Ok, I gave my warning. This article is about Merida's biggest mistakes. And about why I hate Merida. Yes, no one is perfect, but these mistakes should not be too conspicuous. For example, one of my favori princesses, Elsa, was also flawed. However, Merida made a huge mistake, and I'm going to explain it today.

Merida's biggest blunder was definitely when she destroyed her mother's life for her freedom. The cake Merida gave her mother had turned her into a bear. YES, NOW I ASK YOU,...

She's gentle, kind, and clumsy and is Rebelle enough to stand up to Clayton even when he has a gun -BB2010

I l’amour how awkward yet interesting she is; I admire her bravery and empathy, and I like how she has a talent for drawing and curiosity for the jungle life. I l’amour her relationship with Tarzan, one of my favori Disney couples; her design is really pretty as well -WhiteLagoon13

Everything! She is smart, she is dedicated to her work, but I also l’amour that her "damsel" moments are the result of her being in an unfamiliar situation, and that she learns to adjust to her new environment par the end of the movie. -Swanpride
