Yeah, wasn't sure how to titre this one. Basically, I'm gonna go over the voices of the princesses and why they're top. toi can expect some information too including voice actresses.

And yes, if toi know/tolerate me, toi can expect another thing from me that I'm sure ticks people off, but this is my opinion so...

...I don't think I have to explain myself with that one.

Favorite Princess Voice

10. Snow White

God her voice annoys me. I give serious credit to Adriana Caselotti for being an operatic singer par 17 years old (the same age she was when casted) but for today's standards, it's annoying. It's way too high pitched both chant and speaking and it makes her sound plus and plus immature than her teenage age. Plus, how many girls have toi heard trying to match her voice but fail horribly? Yeah, imagine a headache like that from a few girls in a choir class. I wish it was plus mature sounding, but I don't think Disney wanted a mature voice for the 'little princess'. Even as she aged, Caselotti's voice still remained as high pitched and annoying. Think about this: have toi heard anything else from Snow White's original voice? Can't think of anything? Well that's because Caselotti bascially sold her voice to Disney and never had a career afterwards. In the end, she doesn't get a career and we get stuck with a high pitched princess.

salut fun fact for toi movie lovers: Walt Disney is credited for being the inspiration for Wizard of Oz due to the sucess of Snow White. AND during the song 'If I Only Had a Heart', toi can hear Adriana Caselotti, the voice of Snow White, sing the line "Where for art thou, Romeo?". Cool huh?

9. Aurora

Sorry, I'm not really a fan of the operatic voices. And what sorta irks me is that Aurora's speaking voice is all innocent and high, but when she starts chant she suddenly turns into this opera diva with a seductive voice. I'll admit, I do like to sing, but I can't hit high notes and hearing Aurora (and even Snow White) made me feel worse about my alto voice. Much like Snow, girls in my choir tried to emulate Aurora to slightly better results, but still...don't try to mimic the original. Unlike Adriana Caselotti, the voice of 3 names (inside joke from two précédant articles), Mary Costa, was able to have a sucessful operatic career and last I heard, she still does opera stuff. Her voice today has aged, yes, but I think Mary doesn't talk like speaking ou chant Aurora. She just uses the normal voice that I would have liked to heard in the movie. If none of toi think that, it must be me. I'm not gonna lie, I've had major ear issues since a double ear infection and my hearing's been so-so, so don't be afraid to admit your opinion on Mary Costa's voice.

8. Pocahontas

She upped one, way to go! I really appreciated the fact that they hired Native American actress Irene Bedard to voice the Native American princes, but I would have loved to hear her sing. Then again, I don't think any of the Native American voice actors in that movie do their own singing. Again, correct me if I'm wrong. Judy Kuhn is a great singer, but I don't think Judy's voice was a good fit for Pocahontas. Boo me all toi want, but that's my viewpoint on it. I don't really care for Pocahontas in general, but at least it hasn't been last in anything thus far.

7. Mulan

Again, appreciate that Ming Na, an Asian, is voicing the Asian Heroine (Mulan's technically not a princess folks). Lea Salonga is from the Phillipines (so she's technically Asian too) and has a spectacular voice that worked for Mulan considering Mulan sang all the songs. When princess' chant voices are dubbed, toi gotta make it work. This one did work from what I can recall (I've only seen Mulan like one time the whole way through). But Mulan's still kinda low because her voice was partly a fake man voice during the course of the movie too.

6. Belle

Paige O'Hara, what can I say? I can say she was at her peak in 1991 when Beauty and the Beast was released and her voice was a good fit for Belle. Then we reached a new decade. Oh Paige. toi can tell her voice has aged, and not well. If you're not listening to aging Belle via Paige, toi probably heard her seconde voice actress in House of souris during the Christmas song Jodi Benson, aka Ariel. This is why Belle has dropped out of the haut, retour au début 5. If it's not an aging Paige, it's the little mermaid.

Seriously, listen to the Disney Princess song "If toi Can Dream", toi can tell time has not been kind to Paige O'Hara's voice.

5. Rapunzel

When it was first announced Disney was making Rapunzel (before the titre change), the original voice was going to be Kristin Chenoweth. I fangirled. I am a huge fan of Kristin Chenoweth whether it be Wicked, Pushing Daisies, anything she's in, I am a fan. Then it was announced Mandy Moore would be Rapunzel. I was slightly dismayed, but still okay because I'll admit, I was a fan of Mandy Moore. I grew up listening to her teeny bopper music, and she had done something Disney related prior to Tangled- Princess Diaries if you're interested. She did do speaking and singing, and it was pretty good. While I'd rather have had Kristin Chenoweth, Mandy Moore was still pretty good.

4. Jasmine

Fun fact, Linda Larkin was told she had to lower her voice. Linda is a high pitched speaker, but she still made a good jasmin (whether anyone feels jasmin needed a middle eastern voice ou not). toi can tell her voice switched in and out on occasion in anything Aladin related she's done. Linda Larkin was the speaking voice, however; and there have been not one, but TWO different chant voices for Jas. The first one being Mulan's chant voice Lea Salonga. Lea's voice was absoultely perfect for the one song jasmin sang in the original movie. But Lea did not return for the sequels. Granted she did do Jasmine's chant voice in Il était une fois Tales and "If toi Can Dream", but not for Return of Jafar of King of Thieves. No, that voice was dubbed par Liz Callaway. Liz is no stranger to dubbing chant voices: she dubbed the chant voices for Kiara in Lion King 2, Odette in the first cygne Princess, and most famously Anastasia in Anastasia. So she was chosen to be the new jasmin chant dub. And honestly, she was pretty good. I l’amour Liz's chant voice and seeing as though they couldn't get Lea, Liz did a good job as the back up option- thank God that Brad Kane was able to still dub Aladdin's chant voice. Sure I wish Jasmine's voice was consistent, but toi gotta give credit for Linda Larkin for doing the speaking voice of jasmin for anything and everything jasmin related.

Fun Fact: Liz Callway's sister Ann sang the theme song to the montrer "The Nanny". Weird, eh?

3. Tiana

Again, they got an African-American to voice the African-American, way to go. Anika Noni Rose is best known for co-starring alongside Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson in Dreamgirls, and she beat out celebs like Alicia Keys, Tyra Banks, and even co-star Jennifer Hudson. Anika has the perfect voice for Tiana both chant and speaking. I l’amour that her voice wasn't too high, but it wasn't that low either. It was just right.

2. Ariel

Everything was about the voice for this one. Jodi Benson landed the role of Ariel thanks to her working with the movie's songwriter Howard Ashman in the montrer Smile. Since landing the role of Ariel- both chant and speaking- Jodi has been the only voice for the princess. And that's good because Ariel's been in practically anything Disney what with the Little Mermaid show, Kingdom Hearts, House of Mouse, anything to bring the Disney princesses together, heck Jodi's even voiced Belle. I do like Ariel's voice, I'll admit (I liked it plus when she didn't talk though 'cause the character was annyoing). Her voice, like Anika Noni Rose's for Tiana, was just right for Ariel.

1. Cinderella

Groan all toi want, but this is my opinion!

I stated I loved practically everything about Cendrillon and her voice is no exception. Ilene Woods (who I'm peeved DID NOT get recogintion at the Oscars in Memoriam) didn't even audtion for the voice. Some Friends of hers were songwriters for the movie and they asked her to do a demonstration for how actrices should audtion. Well once Mr. Disney himself heard her voice, he hired her for both chant and speaking. And what a great déplacer that was. I don't have much to say that I haven't a dit already. It wasn't too high, it wasn't that low, to use a different term, it was mezzo-soprano and it was perfect. Her voice conveyed any emotion for Cendrillon give whatever circumstance the character was in and it was just perfect. As for Jennifer Hale, the current voice of Cinderella, she's doing pretty well too. I don't like her as much as I l’amour Ilene, but she's a good Cendrillon too.

So don't sue me for my opinion. And I will say, don't expect to see Cendrillon first for everything.

To compensate for any inconvience, here are images of the voice actrices that I have mentioned above. No captions this time due to me having a massive headache for the past few days and not wanting to think.

And yes, all that info on voice actrices is from memory. So if there's anything wrong, feel free to correct me. Also, I know I neglected current voices for Snow White and Sleeping Beauty but that's because there hasn't been a definitive current voice since the original actress passed ou retired. That, ou I couldn't find any decent pics.

Hello, guys! I hope you've been having a good week! Again, I'm SO sorry I took incredibly long posting my last one! (Life getting in the way, certain members of my family having one birthday after another, including me, and the holidays are just afew examples. I also want to apologize about the delay on this one, too. Hopefully, this delay wasn't as long!) Now with plus time on my hands, I'll likely be able to post this one sooner. Now, why don't we get on the thing, shall we? ;)

Today's article will be about both versions of Cinderella.

The characters:

 Team 1989?
Team 1989?
Hello everyone, as I did for précédant Disney Princess reboots, here is a comparison of the 1989 animated film with its 2023 live action reboot. With that being said, let's dive in!

The Storyline

While the storyline is faithful to the 1989 animated feature, I was very happy that there are several scenes that actually filled in the plot hole. Like we get to see Prince Eric's adopted mother and their relationship between mother and son. tied
Speaking of parental relationship, Ariel's relationship with her dad remains the same, except that in the animated feature. King Triton is a very hot tempered...

7) Bejewelled Princess Dress

This dress is over-the-top! She is not the type of princess who would appreciate being decorated like a Christmas arbre and then find that she cannot walk without feeling the heaviness of weight pulling her down. It doesn't suit her at all.

6) Makeover glittery and patterned dress

This is better than the last one but still over-the top. This time it's the or patterns on the skirt. There's too many patterns. The corsage part is more. subtle with a singular pattern on the side. I like that. But the shiny blue sleeves are distracting. Too shiny. Her headband is...

This T-shirt design is of me as a Disney Villain. It is based on the Serena Valentino book Cold-Hearted which chronicles my seconde wife's backstory and how she became evil. I am one of the main villains in that because I only married her for her first husband's money, made her and my stepdaughters do housework, favoured my Cendrillon over my stepdaughters and even locked my wife in her room so she couldn't escape. And that was before I died and they abused Cinderella.#

I am now a ghost and forever haunting my old chateau.
Hi, y'all! I hope toi enjoyed the article I posté last, and I hope you'll enjoy plus in the future!

Today's article will be about both versions of Beauty And The Beast.

The characters:

(Before I begin, I just want to say as much as I l’amour the characters, I might not be able to include them all, but, I'll try my best to give them a mention ou two. If I leave out a character toi love, my sincerest apologies in advance.)

Belle:

I have to be honest, I thought both versions were just outstanding. One thing I liked about the live-action Belle, though, is her bravery. (I.E. When she tried to escape after...

Yet another Mary Sue test. This time, it's Esmeralda. She's very similar to Belle, who scored surprisingly low. Let's see if she's as perfect on the inside as she is on the outside.

Unique traits without contacts ou hair dye- Sort of. Green eyes aren't impossible in WOC, but they are plus unique, and her eyes are drawn in a very striking and eye-catching way. Though it is just to justify her name. .5
An odd name- 'Esmeralda' is definitely a unique (though also very pretty) name. 1.
Looks constantly commenté on- Yes. She even uses her appearance as a weapon. 1.
Always the hero- No, she has to be...

We've come to the big one. I hear Belle called a Mary Sue a lot, plus than any other princess aside from maybe Rapunzel.

Unique traits without contacts ou hair dye- No. She has brown hair and brown eyes.
An odd name- No. 'Belle' isn't that odd of a name.
Looks constantly commenté on- God yes. The town literally sings an entire song about it (along with how odd she is). It's literally in the titre of the movie, along with her name. 1.
Multiple characters falling for her- Yep. Beast and Gaston, plus the whole town calling her beautiful. 1.
Gets into the relationships she wants- No. Her relationship...

I'm not strictly doing these in chronological order, it's just a coincidence that I chose Ariel next. toi might think Ariel isn't a Mary Sue because of her obvious flaws that a lot people hate her for, but I think she still could be. Mary Sues can have flaws (hence why that trait doesn't just say "No flaws" and nothing else). So let's see.

Unique traits without contacts ou hair dye- Sort of. Red hair is common enough, but her shade of red definitely isn't. .5
An odd name- Sort of. 'Ariel' is common enough par mermaid standards, but she's the only one of her siblings with a name not ending...

Wow, I'm on a role with these tests. I look up clips from the films for these (though I don't have enough patience to watch the full movies, just the parts relating to the traits). I found the whole of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves on Youtube...presumably. It was just a cut and edited version of the movie played multiple times to make it look like the full movie. Still, it gave me enough information.

Unique traits without contacts ou hair dye- No. Her "hair as black as ebony" and brown eyes are common.
An odd name- Yes. 'Snow White' isn't a name you'd find in anyone in real life, or...

After doing the plus modern princesses, I switched to the classics, who are accused of being Mary Sues a lot. (I might not do ones for Merida and Tiana, since they pretty obviously aren't Mary Sues). Starting with Cinderella.

Unique traits without contacts ou hair dye- No. She has blonde hair and blue eyes, common traits.
An odd name- Yes. It'd make sense if it was explained Cendrillon was a nickname and her real name is Ella, like in some versions, but it isn't in the film. 1.
Looks constantly commenté on- Yes. Cendrillon is described as beautiful, and the prince considers her the most...

Hi everyone! I found this Mary Sue test someone was doing for Percy Jackson characters and really liked it. I decided it'd be fun to put Disney princesses through it, since a lot of them are accused of being Sues (though I modified the test a little, adding and removing some traits). This test is great because it isn't unnecessarily long-winded and toi don't need to be the creator of the character to put them through it (though some of the traits do get repetitive). I had to remove some like "Naturally beautiful" and "Great chant voice" since that's pretty much a donné for all the princesses....

Nearly all princesses, they have l’amour interests. Although I am really into romance, I admire some of the couples. I l’amour Ariel & Eric, but my favori couple is Rapunzel & Flynn. Anyway let me not mess the topic.

One of the most admired princesses is a fraise blonde, hardworking girl with diamond blue eyes, she is so kind to animaux ; Its Cindy! Cendrillon I mean. Cinderella's l’amour interest is Prince Charming. But I really don't like them as a couple and here are some reasons why:

1~ Charming doesn't deserve Cinderella

As I said, Cendrillon is a hardworking, nice, kind girl while Charming...

As there are many princesses Disney created, some of them get forgotten par many people on Fanpop. Some, even get forgotten par the whole internet and maybe the universe? Discs? TV? Okay, not that much but still..

I have to say my favori princess *sighs* is underrated on Fanpop. Elsa is one of the most populaire princesses on the internet, but not to say Fanpop. People in fanpop usually think she is 'overrated' and that's why they leave her underrated. Some La Reine des Neiges fans post articles about how great Elsa is, including me but that just makes people feel like Elsa is liked because of her powers....
