Well, without further ado, directly into the article. If toi don't know what this is about, please read my précédant Soundcheck article.

10. Sleeping Beauty: No long explanation needed, “I wonder” is simply too short to leave much of an impact. It’s a wonderful tune, but with a very basic text on it. Nevertheless, I seriously considered putting it slightly higher, because it fits Aurora's dreamy personality perfectly.

Fanpop says: Basically, boring. Also “It would have been better if it lasted a little bit longer, but it goes par really fast.” (founten). The voting for this category was in general all over the place, but nobody seems to particularly like this one.

9. The Princess and the Frog: If I only had to judge “Almost there” I might have set this one higher, although I have some problems with it. I think the animation in that scene is plus impressive than the song itself, which mostly consists of repetitions of “I’m almost there”, but it works, and the words have become plus ou less Tiana’s catchphrase par now. The movie is so far down the liste because of the other song “When we are human”, which I really dislike. It adds suivant to nothing to the plot,
because Naveen doesn’t really have big dreams, he just wants to be what he always was, and we already got a whole song about Tiana’s big dream. “I want” songs are good at the beginning of a movie, to get to know the characters but in this case, we already know what those characters want, so why making a song about it? Even Louis already a dit that he wants to be human to become a jazz player. No need to repeat it again. And again. And again.

Fanpop says: Not one vote for the best song. “I actually like the song Almost There. I only picking this because it has When we’re human, and I’m not fond of this song.” (TigerRanma)

8. Pocahontas: “Just around the Riverbend” is a song which works partly. It certainly gives us a good idea about Pocahontas character, but it’s also very vague about her goals. I gather from the song that she doesn’t want to go the easy path and likes the plus challenging one, but she rarely acts accordingly in the movie. She challenges John Smith about his view on her tribe and she challenges her father finally at the very end, but she never really speaks up to him beforehand, she never tells Kocoum that she doesn’t want to marry him. ou does she? She seems to decide against it at the end of “Just around the Riverbend” par using the less accommodating path, but then she goes to Grandmother Willow about the matter. Wasn’t the whole point of the song that she doesn’t want the life her father has planned for her? Then why, in the very suivant scene, she tries to decide if she should follow his conseil after all?

Fanpop says: Not much, this one flew under the radar.

7. Snow White: It’s rare that one character gets two different “I am/I want” songs, instead of a main song and a reprise, and if it happens, it rarely works. Here it does, because each time Snow White is in a totally different state of mind. When she sings “I’m wishing” she is very much alone and wishes for love. And isn't it convenient that the wishing well grants her wish immediatly? That's surely the fastest
solution for a princess desire, ever. The movie could have ended at this point, if not for the action of the Evil Queen. So it's fitting that Snow White uses a different tune later on, in “Someday my Prince will come”. Now she no longer wishes for “someone who loves her”, she wants “her prince” to find her. Both songs are beautiful and both work well in the movie.

Fanpop says: It was voted as one of the worst, but judging par the commentaires mostly because some people dislike Snow White’s voice. For the best-pick, it was between those who were liked more.

6. Tangled: I don’t know how often I have read ou heard the judgment that “When will my life begin” is somewhat monotone – I don’t disagree there, but I think that’s kind of the point of the song. Rapunzel has a monotone life, so the song should reflect that to a degree. It also gives a very thourough rundown on Rapunzel's interest - I think we know plus about her than about any other princess,
simply because this song provides a long liste of them, from pottery making, over baking, over chess up to painting. The tune becomes plus of a high point in the Reprise, when Rapunzel decides to leave the tower. It’s a good song global, ensemble – others are just better.

Fanpop says: Another one which is somewhere in the middle.

5. Beauty and the Beast: The haut, retour au début five were especially hard to sort. And really, there is nothing to criticize about “Belle” ou the reprise. The first song sets up the world in which she lives and the reprise underlines her wish to escape this life she doesn’t fit in. The only reason it’s not higher on the liste is the fact that the following songs are a little bit better. But both, "Belle" and the Reprise deserve a honorable mention for the animation used during the scenes. They are
very memorable, and not just because some fancy artwork, but because the way Belle moves and the camera angle is done perfectly. Those movements have become somewhat iconic - haven't we seen a very similiar pose twice already in this article? Both times in "I want"-songs from later movies?

Fanpop says: Another one of those in the middle, with a slight tendency to the better half.

4. Aladdin: “One Jump” stands out from all the other songs in having a reprise which is strangely morose, especially compared to the upbeat tone of the first song. “One Jump” is about what Aladin wants people to see, someone, who is untouchable, who doesn’t care what all those people think of him, but the reprise is about the hurt he feels underneath and his wish that to be appreciated for his true self.
It's not the best melody on this liste but toi can really hear the "jumpiness" in it. It's not the best song, since it doesn't make any sense without relation to the movie (most of the other songs on this liste work as stand alone, too). But imo it deserves this place because for what it is, it's a perfect fit.

Fanpop says: I went slightly against the trend there. This seems to be one of those songs toi either like ou dislike.

3. The Little Mermaid: For a very long time this one was on place one of the list. “Part of your world” isn’t just an amazing song; it gets perfectly utilized in the movie, since it shows the development in Ariel. First she just want to be part of “this world”, but after she meets Eric she wants to be part of “your world” and becomes even plus determined to fulfill her dream. And in the seconde reprise at the finale it gets triumphant. It’s very, very well done, also in regard to
the animation. Ariel's movements in the cave and especially the scene at the right are the most iconic moments of the movie. I didn’t really expect that a song would haut, retour au début this one, let alone two.

Fanpop says: This was the winner, but not the clear winner. Still, it was also the only song which didn’t get a “worst” vote, so I go slightly against the trend here.

2. Mulan: “Reflections” is an unusual song in this category, because it’s not really an “I am/I want” song, it’s an “I don’t know who I am but I really want to know”-song. And in this, it’s closer to reality than most of the other songs on this list. The protagonists of Disney-movies tend to have a clear idea about what they want in live, but it’s easier to feel with those characters who struggle to find themselves. Who doesn’t know the feeling of being unsure of oneself, and the wish to fit in? But the main reason this one ended on the seconde place list, is because of the way it gets referenced to in the movie. When Mulan is alone in the mountains, after her secret got discovered, she looks into the reflection of her casque and questions her own motives. And then Mushu does it and tells her the truth about him. And the Cri-kee does it, and admits not being a lucky bug. Normally those songs are only referenced to over the score; it’s rare that they hint back to the text, so I think it deserves a high spot.

Fanpop says: That’s one of the songs which came in as second, but it got a lot of runner-up mentiones, too. Ladyhadafang said: “Reflection just...rips my cœur, coeur out. It really does. *Hugs Mulan tightly, while shooting daggers at the matchmaker*” Well, if this isn’t an endorsement.

1. Cinderella: Although “A dream is a wish your cœur, coeur makes” doesn’t have an official reprise, it gets repeated quite often during the movie, and not just in the score. I never really realized how often, until I really paid attention to it. The mice are chant it when they are working on Cinderella’s dress, in a very jubilant tune. When Cendrillon is crying on the bench, it gets sung from the off in a comforting manner. And at the end it becomes triumphant. This is plus than just an “I am/I want” song, it’s the whole theme of the movie, and they don’t even have to use different texts to make the song fiting for different situations, they just have to change the tune. Nevertheless is never becomes boring ou annoying.

Fanpop says: There were some dislikers, but that was another song which came in second. It certainly has some avid fans. “A Dream is A Wish Your cœur, coeur Makes is genius. Ilene's voice: Ahh.. <3“ (princessfreak)

Why do they still treat me like a child?
Why do they still treat me like a child?

I was starting to have a neutral feeling for her but today I watched it and I really like her, but not enough to put her higher. I think she's very charming. I l’amour how she has that feeling of how she doesn't want to be treated like a child anymore. I also adore that she talks to animaux like they're real people. She also has a great voice...

I've heard so many times that Anna is just another Rapunzel ou Rapunzel 2.0, and I've really wanted to make an article talking about how she's a unique character and what differentiates her from Tiana, Rapunzel, and Merida. So yeah, let's get started! (By the way this is no way meant to insult the other modern Disney Princesses, just to montrer how Anna is different)

Her Wanting To Be Loved

When toi think about it, all of the modern princesses except Anna have either been against l’amour ou haven't shown any interest in it. Tiana wasn't interested, Rapunzel never a dit anything about it, Merida wasn't...

I was inspired par the 2013 pop songs for Disney character article, so I decided to make an article similar to that except for most of these songs aren't 2013 pop songs and I used songs that I actually liked. I apologize if my choices for songs were pretty bad and my explanations sucked, but I really couldn't think of any other songs that I loved that matched these characters. Anyway tell me what toi think of the songs par commenting below!

Snow White: papillon par Smile dk

Let's start with Snow White. I think this song fits her perfectly. Its happy and optimistic just like Snow White is full...

1. Congrats on being the first ever Disney Princess fan of the Month! How do toi feel?
Really flattered and honored! It's nice to know my hard work on this site is being appreciated. ;)

2. Who are your haut, retour au début 3 princesses, and why?
Oh god....well, at the moment they're Ariel, Belle, and Pocahontas, but I haven't really watched some of the films in a while so it's tentative. But Ariel will always be number one!

3. Name your favorite:

The Disney Renaissance, one if the most successful times for WDAS from the late 80s to the late 90s (or to some people, the mid 90s).
 (1989-1999)
(1989-1999)

 (1989-1994)
(1989-1994)

This era is known for its amazing musicals, haut, retour au début notch hand drawn animation using the computer, many awards, and great critical and financial success (most of them), and the movie that is known to start this fantastic era is The Little Mermaid, which I think gets too much credit for starting the Renaissance, and I know many will disagree, but hear me out.

The Disney Renaissance was the time where a lot of money was made, which...

So I did a countdown of who would be most likely to survive in the abusive type of households Snow White and Cendrillon had lived in. I must say I'm disappointed plus people didn't participate (well, at least 28 people VOTED every round, yet there was usually no plus than 7 commentaires per poll). I would have loved to see plus people's input because the whole reason I did this countdown is because I am so sick of people jouer la comédie like Snow and Cinderella's situations were not all that bad, like they could have just left easily. Anyway, here are the results:

9. Jasmine. Well, to nobody's surprise,...

I know that this is common on this site, but I feel like my Disney Princess ranking is a must. Merida, Anna and Elsa are included, and I don't usually see them being include in these.
To make things clear, there are times where I like every Disney princess. I dislike one, am okay with two, really like four, and absolutely adore six.
I try to balance out my descriptions. I tried to talk about the characters' good qualities because I just hate it when toi read rankings that just sound like complaints, but I had to address their flaws as well so that readers could understand my reasoning.

I saw sweetie-94 recently do this and thought it looked fun, so I decided to make an article like this as well. I fully intended to have this be ranked, but it was way too hard, so I just opted out to chronological order. So, yeah let's get started!

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: One Song

I l’amour this song a lot! Snow White's Prince has the best voices of all the princes, and the entire scene is very romantic and heart-felt. I l’amour how Snow is all bashful and trying to look good for the prince, and the little Kiss they do with the bird at the end.

Cinderella: So This Is l’amour

So This...
