Since Mulan is princess of the month, here some thoughts about which fleur fits her the best. The movie, after all, offers some choices. The most obvious one is the magnolia, since that’s the translation of the name Mulan.

Then there is the white fleur Mulan wears in her hair when she meets the matchmaker – the same fleur she leaves behind when she goes to war. I’m not sure what kind of fleur that’s suppose to be. I first considered lotus (since the lotus is such a reveled fleur in Asia and gets often connected to the gods), but a lotus has plus petals. A white cerise blossom would have exactly five petals, but they would be plus round. There are some similarities with a white magnolia fleur ou a lily, but again, both have plus petals. My best guess is the azalée - a white azalée has five petals, looks very similiar, but even plus important, in China they are a symbol for womanhood (they also symbolize taking care, temperance and fragility, plus ou less everything Mulan is expected to be).

And finally, the most important of all, the fleur her father points out to her. I originally assumed that they are sitting under a cerise arbre – I think mostly because the cerise blossom is such a big deal in Japon and there are festivals surrounding it in China, too. But the “Hanami” in Japon is the one with the long tradition, while China just was inspired par it. Plus, the longer I look at it, the plus I get the impression that those blossoms are supposed to be magnolias.
toi can compare it yourself to the picture of some magnolias at the right, the similiarity is undeniable. Also it would make the whole scene so much plus meaningful, if her father points out a late blooming "Mulan" instead of a aléatoire flower. But the scripts of "Mulan" I have found so far don't specify, there is only "blossoms" written, so unless the animators give an answer, we'll never know for sure.

But I admit I like cerise blossoms better for Mulan, since magnolias are fairly sensitive flowers, and Mulan is everything but sensitive. cerise blossoms have three different meaning in the language of flowers: They stand for a good education, transience of life (Japan) and feminine beauty (China). All those meanings fit Mulan and her story nearly perfectly, although the meaning of magnolias (love of nature) works too.
In the end, I couldn’t really decide - So I made two wallpapers, one with cerise blossoms and one with magnolias, to honor the beauty of a late blooming flower.
The gang was walking back to the cottage when a buisson, bush popped up in front of them. Mulan gasped at what she saw growing on it. She hurried to the plant. "You guys have to see this!" she exclaimed. The others rallied around. The reactions were mixed. Shang felt his nerves dance a bit, Pocahontas theorized, and John and Merida exchanged scowls. "Cherries?" Merida said. "Mulan, I get toi have very valuable things and traditions where toi come from, but it's just a fruit." John replied. "Just a fruit? John, these are delicate." Mulan stated.

"Mulan, it's not like glass where toi throw it and it breaks."...

Mirror Mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?
Mirror Mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?
I am fairly confident with my appearance.
That doesn't mean I don't want to look like a DP. If I was on this list, I would be 14th, and miles behind the others. They are stunningly pretty in most cases. Who is the MOST beautiful imo though? Well READ Friends READ and all will be revealed!:D
13) Merida
I think she actually looks really cute in this picture!
I think she actually looks really cute in this picture!

I feel kind of bad for Merida, as she does have some beautiful features. I l’amour her hair, who wouldn't? It's so wild and free, yet perfect. I l’amour the color. Orangey red. Her eyes also have a lovely color. the blue is similar to my eye...

Hello sweeties! So, I was sitting at my computer, looking at gorgeous gifs of the princesses on tumblr, when I had an idea. What better way to procrastinate essays that are due tomorrow than par écriture an article! So, that's exactly what I'm going to do. And the article I'm going to be writing, toi lovely reader you, is a prettiest princess article! Yeah, it's probably one of the most over done articles on this spot, but it's like a right of passage that toi have to complete to be a "true fan". Just a heads up, all of the princesses are beautiful, so don't scream at me for having *insert princess...

The reason why I am publishing this article is because the formatting would not work when Silverrose tried to post it. So I have been asked to publier this article for him.

Snow White is mostly regarded as a surface-deep character, but to me she is one of the most layered princesses. With that in mind, I felt compelled to write my analysis on her.

I'll divide this analysis in three topics, ou three Snow Whites: the Spirited Young Lady, the Team Mother and the Damsel. These layers blend into each other, so at times it was hard to decide where to classify a trait, which is good, after all we're...
