Disney considers there to be only nine "Disney Princesses". Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, and Tiana.

Of those, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine, and Pochahontas were born to royalty. Cinderella, Belle, and Tiana married princes to become royalty. Strictly speaking, Mulan is not a princess because she was born a commoner and married a military general (though she ALMOST married a prince in the seconde movie). Mulan is the only non-royal Disney Princess. Rapunzel will be an official Disney Princess when her movie is released.

Some royal princesses NOT included in the line are Maid Marian (Robin Hood), Kida (Atlantis), Nala (Lion King), Mei & Su & Ting-Ting (Mulan II), Megara (Hercules), Melody (Ariel's daughter), and Kairi (Kingdom Hearts, though I suppose she might have been a non-royal princess).

Giselle (Enchanted) wasn't technically a princess, but was going to be included in the line anyways -- like Mulan. However, they realized they'd have to pay Amy Adams every time they used her likeness on a toy ou website ou video.

Alice and Minnie souris are two Disney heroines who sometimes appear with the Disney princesses, but they are NOT considered princesses.

To my beliefs and facts, Alice should be included to the Disney princess line up permanently. Because:
1. Alice was created when Walt Disney was still alive, and I belive any Disney animation women of his work should be included in the line up.
2. Alice contributed a lot to Disney both before and after Walt Disney's Death with the current Disney characters.
3. In Kingdom Hearts the populaire Disney game, Alice is a Princess of cœur, coeur along with, Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Belle, jasmin and Kairi. The Kingdom Hearts main female protagonist
4. Alice didn't need a l’amour interest to save her. Even though she got herself in situations, she was smart enough to get out of them.
5. Alice might be 12 years old, but she was Rebelle and strong minded to stand up for herself.
6. With Alice in the Disney princess line up she will symbolise youth. And younger Disney fans (4-7 years old) are plus likely to approach her without ease than the older princesses, because kids like to approach Disney characters who look youthful and kid friendly.
7. Alice inspires kids to use plus of their imagination. Because Wonderland is based on Alice's imagination and on what Alice thinks of her own ideal wold.
8. She's based on a classical fairy tale like most Disney Princesses that way Alice in Wonderland fairytale will never be forgotten par future generations.
9. Out of the other Disney animated women who are not part of the Disney princess line up. Alice was included, but unfortunately got kicked out. But even though she got kicked out, Alice out of all the Disney animated women was included plus frequently in the Disney princess franchise than other Disney animated women.

In my opinion she isn't a princess and should not be added, but I do like her! She looks odd in the line since she is so much younger than all the other princesses.

I don't no if she is because in the movie she was never called princess. But I think she should be one :P

NO I consider her a heroine of the Disney Females. The Princesses to me are the ones officially listed par Disney = Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana and Rapuzel.

Well, she could be, depends on the way toi look at it. Technically, she isn't, but maybe she could be.

Okay, I'm confused. What is Alice? At the end of Alice in Wonderland, she and her sister are walking away and I think I see a tower in the background. Is she a princess ou some kind of rich girl? What exactly is she?
