The Princess and the Frog a Flop????

I don't think it's a "classic" par any means, like Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, etc...but I don't consider it a flop either. I had VERY low expectations for it before I watched it, and I was pleasantly surprised. I l’amour the songs and the banter between Naveen and Tiana.

No, I was just happy that 2D animation was back. I think it had strong and weak parts. But will in the end sit nicely suivant to the other Disney Princess Classics. But in order for a movie to be a " Flop" it has to make like less than 50 million and PaTF made around 200 million plus. So no. Did toi hear they were making the Snow Queen in years to come-BUT I guess they arnt now. Disney doesnt want too many " GIRL" movies. That is also why they changed Rapunzel to Raiponce thinking boys will see it. Really Disney, come on. I wish Walt were still alive sometimes, he was a traditionalist. I dont think he would have stood for " Tangled" just to make a few plus bucks.

Storywise, it could have been better. To me, turning into an animal and trying to find a way to change back was like another Brother ours and The Emperor's New Groove. Wasn't fond of the musique either.

rayon, ray and Louis didn't make me laugh but I enjoyed Charlotte. It was still a cute movie though. I loved Tiana and Naveen's personalities and I think they make a very charming couple.

I thought it was interesting that I was écriture my very own story once and the movie had a few things from it. It was kinda trippy for me. Heh.

Wow, I never heard anybody call it a flop before. Some people dislike a few parts, but nobody I've spoken to thinks it's that bad.

I am one of the only people with almost no qualms with anything about it. The music, story, characters, and romance were just about perfect to me. I get the songs stuck in my head all the time- they're great! And Disney managed to do another "person changes into an animal" thing without making it look the same as the others.

I was a little confused on Dr. Facilier's motivation (why did he need Big Daddy LeBouf's money when there are plenty of other "sugar barons" that he could've gotten it from? How would money make him rule all of New Orleans?). But I still think he's s great villain!

I think it is not a great, but not a terrible Disney movie. True, I like Brother ours better, where many plots came from on here.

I l’amour charlotte a lot on this movie, she could be my favori part on the movie. I didn't really like the musique that much :( Still, it's better than most Disney Sequels in my opinion and better than all of the Disney 3D Stuff that they came out with in the past few years.

I think it was a great movie! It was funny, romantic, and had a good plot. The Princess and the Frog is definitely as good as the classics. I never seen a Disney movie that made me cry and laugh at the same time! I would let my children see it when I'm older and I recommend it to all of my friends. Seriously, this is one of the best Disney films ever! <3

i really liked it! loved the characters (except for ray) and the musique was fabulous!!! when we're human is so catchy!!!! romance was sweet even though some lines were very cheesy ("you just kissed yourself a princess". really?) there were some weak parts but i thought is was very good and loved the new orleans setting and a black princess!!

Since you're asking just about "story" I shall say my piece about the story, setting aside the animation and musical aspects of the film.

I personally loved the story. It was enjoyable and not predictable. The story had a right mix of comedy and drama. I don't believe it to be a flop, especially when toi compare it to the screenplays of the last few Walt Disney animation Studio Flicks.

Personally I think this movie is SO underrated. It has so many assets that a huge box office success such as "Frozen" lacks yet gets suivant to no recognition for it! The plot may be a wee bit overused but it's still interesting and I was never bored during the film. The characters are likeable, especially charlotte (who may be spoilt but has a cœur, coeur of or and would do anything for her friend) and SPOILERS ALERT I may have even shed a tear when rayon, ray died. And the conversation between Tiana and Navine is rather entertaining and its refreshing that it isn't l’amour at first sight like many other Disney movies. Tiana is also one of the most admirable Princesses EVER! A hard worker but a secret romantic, it's kinda awesome. And the music, some songs are ...er...not to my taste... But "Almost there" and "Dreams do come true in New Orleans" and "Friends on the other side" are so different and unlike anything Disney has ever made and they are so DAMN catchy. Great setting an just the perfect feel good movie :) I l’amour it and no matter what, no one can deny that it's better than Frozen

Excuse me. TPATF WASN'T A FLOP. It was actually very successful for the first 2D animation Disney had done in years! It had a good storyline, and humor, and was well-executed par and large. But it was a bit less developed in its characterization of the main protagonists, which is a sticking point for me. Would I consider TPATF better than the Classics and the Renaissance movies? No. Tiana and Naveen are not as well developed as either Belle ou the Beast, nor Tarzan and Jane, and they do not have the fairy-tale feel of Cendrillon and Charming, nor Aurora and Phillip. But as an outing in comparison of what came after? Yes, TPATF is loads better than the plot-hole laden train-wreck that is Frozen.
