Trump: We Will Target World Heritage Sites in Iran If Any American Assets are Harmed

He says 52 cultural sites could be targeted if Iran strikes any American ou American assets in retaliation. Analysts note that this would be a war crime and an act against humanity's heritage as a whole.

Targeting cultural sites is a war crime.

It should also go without saying that sites like Persepolis (& its PEOPLE) are not only treasures to Iranians, they are gifts to humanity.

They tell humanity’s story - that is why authoritarians target them. They want to erase history.

Iran has 24 natural and historical sites on UNESCO's World Heritage list. Among these is Persepolis, capital of Ancient Persia, one of the most signficant archeological sites on Earth.

You know who also threatens to blow up World Heritage sites? ISIS. Such fine company you keep, American government.

A question for Americans: Doesn't this alone, regardless of his (many, many) other objectionable policies, warrant a vote against him in November 2020?
