Damon & Elena Article: toi all need to be chienne slapped...

This article is about the rumored Comic-Con trailer of which everyone claims is all about Stelena.

The only trailer I've seen is the one where the first 2 minutes are about Stelena, then about Delena and then Silas. How is this pro-Stelena, when there's also Delena in it? Let me guess, toi (apologies for the insult) morons watched a bit, thought it was all about SE and stopped watching so toi never saw the flawless DE scenes. Again, I'm sorry for insulting you, but sometimes I'm so fed up with all the negativism of some fans. 'Oh no, Julie Plec a dit Stefan and Elena are going to have a moment together' 'Oh no, the promo for suivant episode is full of Stelena crap' BIG FUCKING DEAL! We still have 2 seasons to go and as long as the montrer is running the writers will keep on building on the illusion of a Stelena reunion. But that’s all it’s ever going to be, an illusion.
I get that until the series finale there’s always going to be some doubt about the endgame and that’s good. None of us should get too confident and cry victory too soon. But if we’re going to panic each time a Stelena scene is being announced, we might consider some serious therapy.

I’ve a dit it before and I’ll say it again, stay away from interviews and trailers and if toi can’t, read the entire interview and interpret it correctly, and watch the trailers completely.
Now, enough with the negativism. Delena are together, we’re heading to season 5, the journey carries on, it’s going to be a bumpy ride as always, but that’s the beauty of Delena. That’s why we l’amour them. Things are never easy for them, but they survive. They always survive.

So don’t let some dumb trailer rain on your parade. We haven’t won yet, but we’re on the right path.

delenasalvatore From what I've heard, some fans are upset in the way the SE story was edited and represented over Damon/DE's story in the trailer. I have actually watched the trailer again and I sort of see what they mean. For example - they're annoyed at the fact that none of Stefan's ripper side was alluded to, (like him feeding from Amber in 1x19, being Klaus' side-kick in early S3, being nasty to Elena when she goes to him for help concerning Jeremy, and scaring her witless by pretending to drive her off the bridge/turn her into a vampire). And that Damon was portrayed as the 'evil' brother he pretended to be in early S1, by him attacking people left, right and centre, biting Elena, Stefan's voice-over of 'There's nothing human left in Damon', Damon himself saying 'I don't do the right thing', and Stefan being horrified at Damon's force-feeding Elena his blood: 'How could you take that choice away from her?' Also, they're annoyed that Caroline's line "Stefan is your epic love" was shown among the early SE scenes when she didn't actually say that until fairly recently. Basically, they're concerned that it didn't show Damon or Delena's love in a positive, or just light, while the trailer white-washed Stelena. If the people who made the vid had even included the scene at the end of 1x03 while Stefan said 'There's nothing human left in Damon' while he stroked Elena's cheek as she slept, then I doubt fans would be so troubled. I'm not saying that I think this trailer is a threat to us, I'm just saying that's why they're upset. They're also worried that the trailer might inadvertently be an indicator of an (SE) endgame. I personally don't see how this trailer should even be classified as a S5 one: it only showed a tiny bit of new footage at the end. It reminded me of a fan-made trailer in that way. Bottom line: a trailer has no effect or power over the fanbase or DE. It's only perceived as a threat if we let it become one.

HaleyDewit All I'm saying is that after 4 seasons I would've thought us Delena fans would have more faith, instead of jumping at a stupid trailer.

delenasalvatore @HaleyDewit, there are always gonna be fans who baulk at what is said in interviews, at trailers and promos etc, no matter how many seasons its been.

DelenaLove201_ What delenasalvatore said. I don't think that it's a threat, nor have I lost faith in Delena. I just think most people are pissed off that the promo creators showed us such a one-sided, biased view of the TV show we've been loyal to for 4 seasons. It's like if someone insulted your child. You don't think they're going to murder your child and you don't start believing what they say. But you still feel protective of the child and likely, if you get angry easily, you will pick a fight with that person.

delenaforever7 I'll just say this : people are missing the point of trailers " marketing " ... A show is a product , all customers should be satisfied , the producers have to sell this product to all of the fan base to make sure everyone is still watching s5 .. now since Elena chose Damon over Stefan in s4 finale , the producers are already sure that delena fans are watching .... Now they need to advertise to the other fan base that is most likely won't be watching " stelena fans " ...put your self in their shoes ( your a stelena fan , Elena just chose Damon , there's no indication that stelena are getting back together , then theres a trailer and it's full of delena great scenes ..would you still be excited to watch s5 ? I don't think so ... ) so people chill its nothing .. Believe me it's marketing 101 ....

JanaP I don´t get where people got the idea that the trailer sowed SE are endgame... their part actually showed that their story ended- hence they used the break up scene last- to which JP once said that this scene was supposed to show the real end of SE before they could move on to DE... now the DE clip ended on a note that it´s only the beginning...

loveofdelena guys, i really wouldn't worry. it's nothing more than stelena fanservice. you only have to see how the trailer has been made too see that.

ggdelena mime was they didn't show the good damon has done. had it seem that it was all lust when it's not

There was much a dit about Damon’s insecurities and their influence on his reactions to Elena asking him to become human and grow old with her together, but I wanted to write that all down...
