1 The development of their feelings for each other and of their relationship would make no sense otherwise; everything could have stayed like it was at the beginning. "I Do" Scene Analysis of DE in 2x22

Before Season 2 drew to a close, it had not been particularly DE (or indeed, l’amour triangle) friendly. Instead, the writers chose to do the unthinkable, and throw the triangle right off its tracks, slowing the development of DE's relationship right down until toi began to wonder if it was moving anywhere at all.
