I'm torn between much plus than two lovers
I'm torn between two different ways of life.
One showed me what it was like to l’amour another.
The other? What it feels like to fly.

My first l’amour gave me a sûr, sans danger haven,
a quiet place to hide when I was scared.
Everything in life revolved around him.
I knew that other loves could not compare.
I never thought that I could l’amour another,
no one could ever tempt me to stray.
Then one jour my eyes were opened to him
and I knew our l’amour could never be the same.

It was in this time that my cœur, coeur found another
and so much plus than the first he makes me smile.
I can't imagine a jour without him par my side.
He's shown me that my life is worthwhile.
He's helped me find the strength I didn't know I had.
He's made me embrace my inner me.
My first l’amour made me hide deep inside myself.
My seconde has shown me how to be free.

If I embrace a life with the first, it'll be so easy.
I won't ever have to challenge myself.
I can stay unscathed on the pedastool he puts me on
but all the while I'll wish he was someone else.

A life with the seconde would never be boring.
We'd fuss and fight and argue our way through our days.
He pushes me and never lets me settle.
He makes me feel too much and I'm afraid.

Two different men, two different ways of living.
Both l’amour me in ways I had always hoped for.
Should I choose safety and the man that holds me down?
Should I follow my cœur, coeur to the man that lets me soar?

I know there really is no choice to make
between a simple l’amour and a l’amour that makes me whole.
My first l’amour touched my cœur, coeur and probably always will.
My seconde is the one that touches my soul.
