There are many that men would make gods but One to whom the lesser gods must answer.

I'm agnostic and unsure of the existance of god, but I believe if there is a higher being, there is only one.

I believe in all the Gods and Goddesses (: but also that they're part of something bigger, so yes, and no.

Think about this - Christians believe in God, therefore he exists. Buddhists believe in Buddha, therefore he exists. Every religion has a God/Goddess, and because they are believed in, they exist. There is more then one God in this world, whether individual people believe in all or one of them is another matter.

I believe there is a divine being somewhere, but humans ave given them lots of different names. For religions that celebrate more than one God, I believe that each of those God's is a fraction of the one true entity. I said 'it' and 'them' because I believe divinity has no gender

Well My God has sooooo many names- Allah, God, Abba, Jahova, YHWH,Jesus. So I believe in Him as Him as three persons :) I explain it like this, I have 2 arms and 2 legs, my legs are not my arms and my arms are not my legs, but they're all part of one body :) I think that's how pagansim works too right southern-belle?

^You're right, actually. Buddha wasn't a god, and Buddhists (most of them anyway, I'm still a little fuzzy on the difference between Thereveda and Maheyana) don't think of him as one.

@livetobefree: For some Pagans. What you're describing is called soft-polytheism, where all the gods are just different facets of one (sometimes two) god(s). However, there's also hard-polytheism, where all the gods are their own, separate entities.

Jesus is the Son of God, but he also IS God. There is one triune God, three persons in one God, God The Father (Yahweh), God The Son (Yeshua/Jesus), and God The Holy Ghost.
