Saturday 4th of April-
It seemed Melbourne had the win in the first quarter. Leaving our boys watching for the first 40 minutes. Melbourne were going good, working as a team and producing amazing skill, but that didn't last long. The seconde quarter came and the pies dominated. Just before half-time the score was 51-44, the pies left the field smiling.
There was still two plus quarters left and the Demons still had a chance. With victory in the air for Collingwood the boys made sure the Demons had no chance of catching up.
The stars from the first half stepped up further and came through with receiving 40 points in the third quarter. This left a gap of 33 points and Collingwood just kept getting better.
The fans were determined to see a win, after a devastating loss to Adelaide last week, and the mighty pies came through. They exceeded their first match of the season and beat the Demons 117-64.
It's our an this year! GO THE PIES. :]
