The Veruca Salt song is really neat. :)

Also, I remember that in the book, except for Charlie, who brought only his Grandpa Joe, the other four kids bring both their mothers and fathers, and that in the book, after Veruca, Mrs. Salt is tossed down the garbage chute, and Mr. Salt remarks about how much garbage there would be that day before he calls out to his wife (called Angina), asking her what it was like down there and gets thrown down the chute by the squirrels.

In the 2005 movie, while Charlie brings his Grandpa Joe with him like in the book, the other four kids bring one parent as their chaperone. Violet brings her mother, Mike brings his father, Augustus brings his mother and Veruca brings her father. After Veruca is thrown down the garbage chute, Mr. Salt goes to look and see if he can spot her, and one Oompa-Loompa tosses a painting of Veruca’s mother down the chute before one squirrel pushes Mr. Salt down the chute.
