I l’amour Caroline, but she just seems a bit pointless at the moment. Her only storylines are about l’amour interests ou judging other people. Seriously. At first, she liked Stefan. To get over him, she hooked up with Damon. When he rejected her, she turned her attention to Matt. Tyler when she was with Matt. Klaus when she was with Tyler. Whenever Tyler left, Klaus was always there. He was brought in in Tyler's absence so she'd have something to do and be on screen for, and to fill the void her lack of a present l’amour interest created. Right before Caroline and Tyler's supposed "final" break up she gets interested in Jesse so that she has something to do after Tyler leaves. So Tyler's deferred from college, where she is, and Klaus is on the spin-off. Oh, no! Caroline has no l’amour interest! I know! We'll give her another one! Its not like she hasn't had enough. *Groan.* Whenever Tyler's gone (as he takes his leave EVERY SEASON. MAKE UP YOUR MIND, ALREADY. Has he left with Jules? Is there a sire bond? Will Klaus kill him? Are there really a pack in the mountains toi just abandon to comfort your girlfriend after her best friend's death despite having a dit they need you, and then to just abandon her in order to kill Klaus. Well, ain't that a coincidence.) But whenever Tyler's gone, she's phoning him, pining over him, etc., and its quite pathetic. So I want Caroline to be bloomin' single for once and get a proper storyline!
(Unlike her transition into a vampire. Because, let's face it, her problems lasted for two episodes, one of which was about her learning to control herself around her boyfriend and the other had him telling her he loved her. Even her mildly interesting storyline of being Katherine's spy was driven par her feelings for Matt. And people critisise Elena for getting too many l’amour interests? Sure, she jumps between the brothers, but she does have the doppelganger/sacrifice/destiny storyline under her ceinture (and, toi know, her family dying) and at least she hasn't had, let's see, 6 l’amour interests with no spaces at all in between them. She's got two constants - which is getting old. Have her stay with Damon and let Stefan find a nice girl who deserves him - as well as Matt (for less than half a season with one kiss), Elijah (if you'd even call him that - he was always in l’amour with Katherine, if toi ask me) and Aaron (if he even is meant to be a l’amour interest. Maybe he's just a hot bonding buddy. Maybe he's connected to Grayson, and that's how he's Lost so many people. He's related to her. Oh, please don't let this turn into City of Bones - thumbs up if toi get the reference). Anyway, none of it was hardly of the same magnitude as Caroline's hectic l’amour life of new loves, literally, every season. Excuse me. Almost every season. She didn't get a new one in season four. After all, she had her hands full with l’amour Interest #5 chasing l’amour Interest #4 out of town, threatening his life, after staking her and biting her fatally to the point of her near death and she still admitting he can be saved.)
Also, I hate what they did with Caroline's character last season. She became a judgy little brat and, no less, a hypocrite and downright awful friend. She's bagging on Elena for loving Damon and thinking he can change after he was the only one there for her in a difficult time and "makes her feel alive"? Really? He's willing to change for her. And Klaus is no different? True, even when he's in l’amour with Caroline, he's off being an a**e and is unwilling to become the hero for her. Well, at least not to the same magnitude. Once again. Don't get me wrong. I l’amour Klaus and am totally rooting for him on TO. But last time I checked, he'd done a lot worse than Damon (including KILL Elena to get a hybrid army, KILL that hybrid army, WANT TO KILL Caroline and Tyler to create that hybrid army he KILLED, KILL Jenna - and Jules, but no one cares about her - for that same army, take Stefan's humanity - someone who's meant to be CAROLINE'S BEST FRIEND, toi know, the one she betrayed Elena for?, KILL Tyler's mother for what TYLER did to him, and many other things, etc.). Yet, she's attracted to him and has self-admittedly caught herself wishing she could forget all the bad things he's done - AFTER HE TRIES TO KILL HER. The only truly heroic things he did for her were heal her loup bites, despite having caused them both in the first place - can't understand how that won Best Heroic Act on TVD Wiki Awards suivant to thing like Elena letting herself die for Matt - and waiting up to the last seconde to do so in one case. Hypocricy at its finest, ladies and gentlemen.

Caroline was such an amazing friend back in season two. Sure, she was a spy, but only because Katherine threatened Matt. But Elena forgave her. She also forgave her for killing Carter and stood par her when Bonnie didn't - now, that's a true friend. What else is a true friend is how Caroline didn't tell Stefan where Elena was when she went to see Katherine in "Katerina". She had to choose between keeping Elena's secret ou telling Stefan. She kept it. Now, in season four, what'd she do? Elena slept with Damon - who, par the way, she only hates because of what he did to her when she was human which is still nothing to what Klaus has done to other people - and trusted Bonnie and Caroline not to tell anyone. Caroline had to choose again. She had to choose between keeping Elena's secret ou telling Stefan. She leaked it. So why is it that Caroline has suddenly changed her stance? Suddenly decided Stefan's a better friend to her than Elena is? She was spiteful, annoyed that Elena seemed to be caring about Damon plus than Stefan now. That's why.
