i love her prom dress! she looks gorgeous in all of them though

I think I might be the only person to pick Homecoming so I want to explain. Firstly, I don't like her wedding dress. I don't like the cut of the top and then the puffy skirt - it's just too Carrie Bradshaw opening for me. Anya's wedding dress on the other hand is my favorite wedding dress of all time. It's a personal taste thing.

I was torn between the prom dress and the homecoming dress. I loved her hair in the prom and thought it screamed pretty but when I go for overall look and factor in the Buffyness I have to go with Homecoming because it just screams Buffy to me while the pink dress of the prom is more of Buffy trying to be 'just a girl'. It's nitpicky and I keep flipflopping in my head but Buffy in Homecoming (along with Cordy) have that sort of beauty where they are gorgeous and still kick ass. Prom Buffy just seems, to me, on some levels like a toned down version trying to fit into what is expected of her.

My thoughts now turn to the color. Homecoming is a deep pasionate and vibrant red while the prom is a subdued (though beautiful and fragile almost) pink. I love the pink but Buffy isn't pink or pastels, she's a primary color with hints of pastels.

Hmmm, I think that is of the sense making variety.

you missed out the one in prophecy girl what was that a prom of some sorts spring fling not sure but i loved that one on her as much as this!

if her prom dress was in red it would have been right up my street =)

I'm so happy you guys understand my ramblings! Prophecy Buffy with the white dress and the leather jacket is symbolic of everything Buffy is and I think I could argue that the shot of her in the dress with the crossbow and shadows is the shot of the entire series.
