teambrucasx3 Q: What is it like to go out in public with Chad and face hundreds of girls who are yelling his name and are frustrated you took him off the market? S: Most of our fans have been supportive and are so happy for us. A lot of girls will run up to the both of us screaming, "Oh, I'm so excited. I love the show." They'll hug me and hug Chad and whisper something lewd in his ear. I've watched girls pass him their phone number! To be blunt about it. If you're willing to offer a married man sex on the side-which he is not going to accept because he's loyal and has class-how can you value yourself so little? It absolutely revolts Chad. He looks at me and he's like, "How do girls do that?" It doesn't make me angry. It's just upsetting as a woman to watch other women acting that way. Q: What inspired you to become an actress? S: I wanted to be a doctor when I was a kid, but I started doing theater in high school because it was a requirement. At first, I was completely irritated. You know, at the time I was playing volleyball, and I just thought it was a major inconvenience. But I ended up loving it. I made a decision to follow through with it because I never enjoyed anything as much as being up onstange and being someone else. So I decided to pursue it and voila! Q: What else are you working on right now? S: Supercross: The Movie comes out this August. It was such a fun movie to make. We had an amazing, hilarious cast and we had a ball together. It's a total guy movie. A brother story combined with competitive sporting. And, of course, any guy movie needs love interests. That's where [Camerom Richardson] and I come in. I play a no-nonsense law student, and she's the tomboy biker girl. She's completely amazing. And I just wrapped up Stay Alive, a great scary movie based on a historic legend, which I love because I'm such a bookworm. I worked with Jon Foster and Frankie Muniz on that, and an actor named Jimmi Simpson, who is the funniest man alive-he's the next Jim Carey. And right now, I'm shooting John Tucker Must Die with Jesse Metcalfe, Brittany Snow and Ashanti, and we're just having a blast up in Vancouver. It's a high school comedy that revolves around the whole idea of validating yourself through a man then realizing that you've got to be validated by you. Q: In high school, were you popular? Athletic? Geeky? S: It was all girls at my school, and there were only 55 of us in my graduating class. So there wasn't really room for cliques. My friends and I were definetly social. We had a pretty great time. But I was also a total education geek. I loved school. I loved learning. I loved doing homework. All of my books and notebooks from high school are underlined and highlighted, and there are notes all over the margins. And, you know, I was a theater kid too. I was kid of all over the place. Q: How do you manage to stay in such great shape? S: With our hours, I don't have a whole lot of time to excersize. But working 16 hours a day and being on your feet all day long keeps you in pretty good shape. We're constantly moving on set, so that's my exchange for gym time. It really scares me to watch all of these [actresses], some of whom I know, shrinking away. I think it would be funny if the average teenage girl asked 10 guys which way they prefer actresses and showed photos of them at their smallest and photos of them at their healthy medium. The guys would all go for the healthy medium. Men like women with curves and a little cushion. If you want to excersize three or four days a week and eat well, that's great, but give yourself a cheat day. Give yourself an opportunity to have what you want. Q: Of all the girls on the show, who are you most similar to? S: There have been different points of my life where I've related to each of them. Brooke and I share some similiarities. We're both passionate, fiercely loyal people. But she is far more outlandish that I'd ever be, particularly with her body and her sexuality. Brooke has made herself weak for men-sje has only gained self confidence from their attention. I was luckier. My parents always taught me to believe in myself, and to be true to myself. I think Brooke is finally learning how to do that. We'll see how that lesson goes for her in season three.
