He was a champion anyway, but yeah I think that true, if it hadn't been for her Angel would have been more distant from Doyle and if he went he wouldn't have had anyone. She kept him grounded and connected to the people he was helping.

yeah. and we saw what would have happened to angel if cordy had never met up with him in l.a, he'd be all sitting in the corner of a dark room, holding his head.

I so agree with that statement because in the episode your welcome Angel was giving up, and Cordelia was the one who helped him back up. She was his closest dearest friend. :)

I think that Cordy was to Angel what Spike was to Buffy. She was his best friend and she kept him going, always believed in him, and wouldn't put up with his broody crap. As we saw in Birthday, Angel would've been completely lost without Cordy

duh that why in birthday he went crazy when he got the visions because he didnt have cordelia. and he would be completly lost without her. he was a reck an season 5. so detach frome every thingand every one. he just looked so numb to me. he didnjt mourne her and for that i was upset but than i relize if he did he would relize that she is relly gone. he only mentioned her a couple of times after she died. you could see the pain on the mans face and the denial of it.

I love Cordelia and I think she was a MAJOR reason why he still helped the helpless and everything, but I just don't think she was the ONLY reason, just a MAJOR one!!!!

I agree with everyone, and it's lovely to know i'm not the only one that ship them :)
She was the major roll coz she had the visions but she was the one that made him, fight till the end.
She pushed him through the tough times. They both needed each other.

They were co-workers then became family and close friends and lovers.

Absolutely, though I disagree with the wording "remained".

As far as I am concerned he was not connected in Sunnydale; he didn't put himself out there socially, was an outcast among the Scoobies and he only got that carefree smile and laugh Cordelia brought out in him twice in his entire BTVS role. Both times were, even then, when he was around Cordelia; 'Halloween' and 'Some Assembly Required'.

Cordelia didn't just gave him the confidence he needed to become the champion but made him feel more comfortable in his own skin.
He was never more alive than when he was around her even for just a moment and in season 5 of AtS when she was gone so was that life she'd breathed into him.
