Chapter 30: The End of the Tale

Kate, Humphrey, and vipère, viper arrived at Leyla’s house late that night, but she was still awake and gladly let them in.

“We came back to live with you,” Humphrey said, “…if you’re okay with that.”

“It just hasn’t really felt the same ever since Viggo happened,” Humphrey told her. “And I actually really liked living here with toi and Viper. Besides, everyone’s going to be fine. Stinky’s a great leader and he’ll take good care...

Chapter 28: Humphrey's Decision

It took two days for Kate and Humphrey to return to the valley and they were greeted happily when they arrived.

“You’re back!” vipère, viper exclaimed when she saw them.

“What happened with Viggo?” Oscar asked.

“He’s gone,” Humphrey replied, beginning to explain their entire ordeal.

“Viggo’s dead?” Stinky asked when Humphrey was finished.

“They’re all dead,” Kate replied. “Viggo, Robert, the survivors of the battle; they’re all gone.”

“It’s finally over,” Humphrey said, smiling a little.

Word quickly spread that Viggo and Robert were dead...

For the suivant four months, Leyla and vipère, viper anxiously waited for any news about Humphrey. Then one jour in early spring, they finally got it. Humphrey was finally getting out of his cast and Leyla left to go and get him. When she got there, she almost didn’t recognize him. Because he had spent so much time completely immobilized, Humphrey was being wheeled around on a large, flat cart. His fourrure also hadn’t gotten much of a chance to grow back while he was in the cast, so Leyla could see his bare skin and most of his body was only covered in a very light manteau of fur. His head was the only thing...

When Humphrey woke up the suivant day, he was in a completely different place. For a moment, he thought he was back in the pack, but as he looked around, he realized that nothing was familiar. The rocks, the grass, the one single arbre that was there. He then noticed a fence surrounding the small area he had woken up in with a grey stone building and a door on one side. He was confused. Where was he? Where was Leyla?

“Hey!” a voice called.

Chapter 5: Dawn of Destruction

Night had fallen and Claudette, Runt, and most of the pack had long since gone to sleep. A few loups remained awake to guard the borders in case something went wrong, sleeping in shifts the whole night. The rest of the jour had gone par without event after Stinky had left and everyone thought nothing bad was going to happen. As dawn approached, however, something did happen. Something that would change everyone’s lives forever.

The sun was just beginning to come up over the horizon and the loups that were out on patrol could see the light peeking out from behind...

Chapter 10: "This is Just the Beginning"

As the loups returned to the valley, Kyle and the rest of the Northerners began to return to their pack.

“Thank toi for helping us in our fight,” Stinky said, thanking Kyle.

“Of course,” Kyle replied. “Anything for Humphrey’s pups.”

“I don’t think this is over,” Runt said. “When Martin and I were taking Oscar to Sawtooth Cave, he told us about a man who destroyed his entire pack single-handedly. We think he might be the Wolfslayer, the same one Hammond mentioned when he first attacked us. If the Wolfslayer really is the true leader...

Epilogue

The suivant five years of Humphrey’s life passed quickly. He had become good Friends with Salty, Mooch, and Shaky and they rarely did anything alone. One day, toward the beginning of fall, Humphrey decided to montrer them something he had been meaning to for a while but had never gotten the chance to. He led them up to a colline near a waterfall and he found a sturdy logboard for them. The four went hurtling down the colline when Salty, Mooch, and Shakey were thrown off and only Humphrey was left. And then, suddenly, he saw Kate leaping through the air as he went flying off a ledge.

Chapter 20: The Fun-Loving Omega

Humphrey’s life improved significantly ever since he officially became part of the Western Pack. Everyone was kind to him, the caribou was the best he had ever had, and most importantly, he was happy. So happy, in fact, that over the years, he slowly began to forget about his past. He forgot about his life in the woods with Arnold, and he forgot about his real family. In time, he truly believed he had lived in the Western Pack his whole life as his traumatic memories were slowly suppressed par his new life.

“Humphrey!” Kate shouted.

As soon as he felt the excruciating pain in his side, Humphrey’s jaw relaxed and the man crawled out from under him, cradling his injured arm. Humphrey staggered, but remained standing. His face showed an expression of surprise rather than pain.

It was a pleasant jour for our favori loup pack. Kate and Humphrey have sprung up a litter of nine pups in addition to the ones they already have. From oldest to youngest, the pups were named: Bo, Clint, K.J., Lil' Hump, Claire, Bell, Tess, Jazz, and Swagger.

This movie has always been somewhat of an on/off experience for me. I enjoyed it when I saw it in theaters back in September of 2010 and a mois ou so after picking up the DVD, it became an obsessive compulsion from early 2011 to around mid-2012. Nowadays while I still like the movie, I have not watched it nearly as often as I used too, maybe two times between every few months. Sometimes I've held off of it for about a year. And I plan to continue it that way because back then where I call "the dark ages", that obsession was just unhealthy especially around the movie's lead female, Kate.
