How come people have to hate on Alpha and Omega? :(

Yeah, I can't understand all the hatin' about A&O, either. But I wouldn't be here if I didn't l’amour the movie and loups in general.

So it's not a documentary. There have been plenty of good documentaries about wolves. There have not been very many films at all, let alone cartoon movies, with loups in them without them being the "bad-guys". I like that the A&O loups are essentially loups just being wolves, with a cartoon twist. I jokingly refer to the movie as "What loups do when humans aren't watching them." ;)

haha metallica... toi and me both. I EARNED the respect from people at my school for standing up to the kid that partially dislocated my shoulder... Although [and I have a dit this before] there are some things in this that should've been plus delveloped (like the CG animation+effects, it looked awkard at times..) but other than that there's nothing wrong with it. In my eyes anyway. :)

The movie itself... well, it was... okay toi could say. Though I don't HATE it... I actually... do enjoy watching it once in a while, but I don't think it's all that great. Honestly 90% of its fans are wolfaboos and/or furries.
Just my opinion though. It's okay if toi like it, toi don't have to be a wolfaboo ou a furry to like it, I'm just saying most of its fans are... and I won't attack toi ou judge toi for liking it. I mean it may not be perfect but it isn't the worst movie ever either.
So yeah, I guess they shouldn't be talking shit about it everywhere... it's pointless :3

There is a difference between a purposely done surrealistic design and a bad, lazy design... it has the seconde one. It's clearly seen, the movie was made with a VERY low budget, it's very cheap, so they couldn't afford good animation, they déplacer SO awkwardly... seriously, my friend studies animation and she hates that movie just because of the animation. I don't hate it though, as I said... and I am NOT attacking it, what the heck dude? I'm pointing its flaws, it has MANY, I am not just mindlessly saying it sucks for no reason at all, and I am not attacking the fans, I have nothing against them... but I mean, seriously... just take a took at IMDb ou Rotten Tomatoes, link, "Critics Consensus: With bland visuals and a dull, predictable plot, Alpha and Omega is a runt in 2010's animated litter." (that's what the page says)... here's IMDb's Critic Reviews linkall of them, negative... and the story is not original at all, it is extremely generic and clichéd, some characters were likeable though, but that's about it, and don't even get me started on the UNNECESSARY amount of sequels oh god... I don't go around attacking the movie everywhere, I am just commenting about it HERE because they ASKED why people hate it... I don't go around "hating" on it when they don't ask. If people "hate" it it's for a reason though, and I am putting it in words. But I don't HATE the movie, I like it, I watch it... it's flawed, doesn't mean it sucks, it's one of those VERY simple films toi can watch to relax, so I am not hating on it *sigh*. And it's okay if toi like it... but it can't be considered a "masterpiece" of a movie... it's way too simple, that's what makes it fun, that's about it. It's fun. But hey, if toi like it, it's okay (?) I am just pointing its flaws, all films have flaws, and if this one got BAD ratings everywhere it must be for a reason. But I mean, it doesn't mean people CAN'T like it, and it doesn't mean people can go around insulting people who like it, because I don't. I am not insulting toi for example, I am talking about the movie, but not the fans. Psh, even I LIKE cheaply-made movies, some of them are my guilty pleasure, and I ADMIT they're bad, but I still like them because they are fun, hahah. Oh god... my commentaire just posté again.. sorry. Ugh. What the hell it's deleting and re-posting again, it's odd... ANYWAY. Dude... dude... just.. toi are honestly so biased because toi like the movie. I AM NOT SAYING IT'S BAD BECAUSE IT'S CARTOONY, the MOVEMENTS are awkward... the characters' design is simply odd. CARTOONY IS GOOD. I like cartoony, but it's BADLY animated, the designs are UNAPPEALING and I am NOT the only one who thinks it, just TAKE A LOOK AT THE PAGES! ALL of them point it out, are toi saying critics are "attacking" the movie because they don't like that "art style"? IF toi liked critique toi would accept it, oh gosh. I AM NOT SAYING IT SHOULD BE REALISTIC. Take a look at The Lion King, realistic? No, lions don't have eyebrows, don't have those big eyes, and generally don't look like that, but it's beautifully animated, with awesome backgrounds, and stunning atmosphere, the colours, everything. I NEVER mentioned ANYTHING about being realistic... realism is kind of boring, but... the movie is generally just... not good in that way. Do I have to post those liens again? Because all critics say the animation is bad and the visuals are very bland (not even my words, taken textually from many critiques from those pages). If most critics say this, it must be for a reason Oh, and I am sorry, I really thought toi were insulted... my bad. (Oh and sorry if I sound rude... I am not mad ou anything, hahah).

And to start with, Alpha and Omega DIDN’T copy ideas from a specific movie, they simply used extremely clichéd ideas that everyone knows, it's predictable, honestly. I DON'T MEAN their style as it is, I meant the animation... the way they move, ok, let's say I accept it dude, "the art style" is subjective, fine. toi like it, fine. But ask an experienced animator, they will point out MANY flaws in the movie... talking about ANIMATION. *sigh* Critics reviews aren't a fact all right, BUT IF MOST CRITICS SAY IT IT'S FOR A REASON, MAN. COME ON. toi CAN'T IGNORE THAT. Yes, ignore those hundreds of experiences critics, who pointed out the movies' flaws, yes sure, they are COMPLETELY wrong... *sarcasm* IF WE ARE GOING TO USE THIS TYPE OF CRITERIA OF YOURS, THEN ALL films ARE GOOD... that's what toi are saying. Like, even if toi have the evidence here that the movie didn't do very good, toi still insist in saying it's good, completely ignoring the fact that is has extremely low ratings and saying that the majority is wrong, while the minority is right, just because you're in it. Also, being relatively box office successful doesn't mean it's good, let's take a look at Twilight, they are honestly terrible films and they did good when it comes to box office terms... Again, I am not against toi ou the movie, I'm not saying the movie should be completely banned ou something, toi act as if I was saying the movie shouldn't be watched. If toi like it, GO WATCH IT. But don't try to make the world agree with you, I mean, AGAIN, if we are in DEMOCRACY terms, the movie DID TERRIBLE, because MOST (if not all) critics gave negative reviews, most people I know didn't like it, and the ones who like it are little kids who find it amusing and simply entertaining, (I know kids who didn't like it though, a friend's little brother is one of them). And who is the wrong audience? Sure, the movie is meant for kids, but I know kids who find the designs odd, and, again... it's a dit to be unappealing. MOST of the critics who gave their reviews are specialized in KID'S MOVIES, THEY KNOW WHAT THE AUDIENCE IS, still, it doesn't mean that just because it's very simple and "cartoony", kids will like it. Come on, not all kids are THAT simple... The sex jokes, I don't mind them, I just didn't find most of them funny (and that is my opinion), I just think they were a bit awkward at times... but yeah, I can't really talk about that one. But the dialogue and jokes were very, very simple... entertaining at times though, I give it that. PLUS toi are being contradictory in something... the audience is kids right? Then why the mature humour? Are kids supposed to understand? They don't fit. If it's aimed for kids, then why add mature humour that even adults didn't like? (Says so in many critiques), it's unfitting... I DON'T MIND sex jokes, I am not an "oh-so-pure" person who thinks they shouldn't be hidden in kids shows ou movies, I just like them when they fit the ambience and don't come out awkwardly. Animaniacs looks cartoony and innocent but it's for adults and everyone knows that. The style is still childish, the animation is good, it has lots of innuendos... AND IT FITS. Because there are shows and films that disguise as a kids thing but are actually for adults. Alpha and Omega isn't one... are toi trying to say Alpha and Omega is for adults but not? It's for everyone but not? Who is the audience toi talk about? AND ARE toi SAYING THAT FROM AAAAAAAALL THOSE CRITICS, THERE IS NO ONE WHO IS PART OF THAT "RIGHT AUDIENCE"? Because considering statistics that's impossible. Going back, the ORIGINAL question was "WHY PEOPLE HATE IT", so I was just answering. ou what should I say? Should I simply be a bootlicker and adulate it saying it's wonderful and it's impossible that people hate it? The movie is of low budget and it did relatively fine considering this, but critiques like this help the company grow, hopefully they will create plus innovative things when they make new movies... if it's one of their first movies, toi can't expect it to be perfect. I wish nothing but the best to them, starting as an animation studio is tough. Woo, again wrote too much. Sorry.

Honestly I do like the animation, but it's not for everyone. Also toi shouldn't say that most fans are wolfaboos since they'll tear toi a new anus for saying it.

Agreed. It's another case of Alpha and Omega 1 & 2, renard and the Hound 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, etc. films that do terrible and don't deserve it.

The photomorphs are about the one ones I've seen (that I can remember; I forget poorly done things so they must've been half-decent fanart if there is sexual fanart out there). But I get your point, that alone shows how unpopular A&O is compared to Balto. (And I prefer A&O to Balto.)
