I think it comes off either as a tease ou it just happens randomly. That seconde time when Kate brushed her tail over Humphrey's face, I think that was just to mess with him because he kinda surprised her that morning :3

Well I guess it's sort of like a slap to the face rejection (figuratively). I mean it's hard to gauge what that would be like in human terms. My guess is that it comes close to twirling around to whip someone's face with your hair if you're a girl.

I think it's a slap if harsh, like when Kate did it to Humphrey at the moonlight howl, and then a sighn of l’amour if used softly, like with Salty and Candy at the moonlight howl and Kate and Humphrey in the den.

I think they do that in 2 different situations : A female seducing a male ou rejection.
