Alice in Wonderland 's mia - meet the star!

Have toi had a chance to see Alice in Wonderland yet? If so, toi are probably curious to knowmore about the lead in the movie Mia Wasikowska, who of course plays Alice.

She may not be a household name yet, but Mia Wasikowska is poised to traverser, croix over into It Girl territory after her étoile, star turn in Alice in Wonderland.

Mia grew up in Australia, but her mother is Polish.That is where she takes her name from. Before she got into acting, she was a ballet dancer.

Mia talked about her experience playing Alice and what a challenge it was.

She said, "One of the things that was scary about taking on that role is the huge fan base; everybody has their own idea of who she is. So [Tim burton and I] discussed, very early on, just being happy with her being our Alice...making her my own.".

What do toi think Wambie girls? Is Mia the suivant famous face? Will she take the place of Miley ou Selena?

Small review of the Newest Alice In Wonderland Trailer

This hype is going to kill me. Am so excited!!!
The fiancee of Alice is exactly as i hoped creepy and majorly weird and Alice is better than i expected her to be.

I was delighted to hear Danny Elfmans distinctive musique in the backround without him Alice In Wonderland wouldnt have been complete without him.

Now the voices are spot on especially the chesire cat..... "The Alice?" and the mad hatter. I was worried his voice would be something like willy wonka which is a bit too over the haut, retour au début for this movie at least!And of course who can forget the red Queen who may i add did a brilliant "off with...

...

"No, I give it up," Alice replied. "What's the answer?"

Let me be clear: I really enjoyed Tim Burton's take on "Alice in Wonderland." The story delivered a worthwhile continuation of Disney's original animated film while sticking to the twistedly whimsical spirit Lewis Carroll's classic book. A lot of folks felt the same way.

Then the movie ended. Like many, I was shaken par the... interesting creative choice made in the final minutes when Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter performs a CGI-assisted dance -- the Futterwacken -- to a techno beat. In the below clip from the Blu-ray/DVD's...

Casting auditions for 250 extras were held in the British city of Plymouth on 6th and 7th August 2008. Requirements were for people with a 'Victorian look' and for applicants to have no visible tattoos, piercings ou dyed hair.

Actress Mia Wasikowska beat out several candidates for the role of Alice, including Amanda Seyfried and Lindsay Lohan, who lobbied for the role.

This film marks the 7th time Johnny Depp has worked under the direction of Tim burton and the 6th time for Helena Bonham Carter.
