How did Alice get turned??

Alice's early history is very vague, as she remembers nothing of her human life and woke up alone as a vampire.

It is eventually revealed that she was born around 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi and was kept in an asylum because she had premonitions.

Alice was changed par an old vampire who worked at the asylum in order to protect her from James, a tracker vampire who was hunting her.

After doing some research, Alice found her grave and discovered that the rendez-vous amoureux, date on her tombstone matched the rendez-vous amoureux, date of her admission to the asylum.

Through her research she additionally discovered that she had a little sister named Cynthia, and that Cynthia's daughter, Alice's niece, was still alive in Biloxi.

No it wasn't james. it was an old vampire that tried to protect her from james as he tried to kill her.

When Alice was a human she could see visions and her parents put her in an asylum because they though she was crazy. There was a vampire who worked there and fell in l’amour with her like Edward to Bella. James haunted Alice down to drink her blood like he did with Bella but the other vampire changed her to save her. Then James killed the other vampire, but he had no reason to kill Alice anymore.
