"Young boy from Arendal will sing with Rybak"
Kristian is a young boy of 13 years from Nyli in Arendal, who is in the 8th grade at Moltemyr school. He has, despite his young age, already an impressive track record and has experienced much plus than others of the same age.
As a grown up, he wants to live par musique and singing, ou working with law and politics, he says to Arendals Tidende.
A lot of requests.
Kristian has played in Oslo Theatre Edderkoppen’s successful performance “Sound of Music” – a role he got in competition with over a thousand other children who came to audition.
He has sung with stars like Sissel Kyrkjebø and Tor Endresen.
Currently, he has a starring role in the play the “The hanged man” par Stephan Hergel which has pemiere in October. And not only that! In May this year, he released his own CD, which has received very good feedback from the musical industry. The titre song “True Dreams” he has made together with producer Thomas Stanghelle, who has also written several songs on the CD.
Ketil Moe run race
This weekend, Kristian will perform in «Dyreparken» in connection with Ketil Moe run race. He will perform songs from his CD and with none other than Alexander Rybak on stage. Kristian has performed with the Grand Prix étoile, star once before when he was invited as a guest artist at Rybaks Christmas concert last year. They were also going to travel to China in December to perform at the peace-price ceremony in Beijing, but this was unfortunately cancelled because of China’s reaction to Norway, and the prohibition against celebrating the peace prize in public.
Pure chant joy
There is no doubt that Christian loves to sing.
-I mostly sing classic pop, but like to sing all genre. The plus I sing, the plus fun, the gentle 13-year-old says.
He also likes to dance and play theater, and would like to make a combination of that. The youngster from Arendal keep getting requests to sing at various events, both locally and in Oslo, and the 13-year-old has already gained a name in the music-business.
Future Star
The boy from Arendal is heading for the sky at high speed. Theatre, dance, musical, movie, song – there is no end to Kristian’s talents. He is very versatile and thinks everything is just fun. When he is asked about how the future will be, he says:
-I will sing, but am very excited about how my voice will be after the voice changes. I hope I can continue developing my skills in chant and music, but the important thing for me is to have fun with doing what I like, he says to Arendal Tidende.
