Did Alan Alda play a doctor that became sick in a movie ou made for tv movie several years ago. What is the name of that and where can I get it?

I believe he played a doctor on ER several years il y a who had alzheimers disease. I do not know what season but toi could probably get the ER collection on DVD at any store.
