And it was, oh, who else. Duncan and Courtney, obviously, going on and on about - wait for it - arm wrestling. Really?

plus Duncan/Courtney love, it looked like to me.. all of their love-ships always started out with a fight. And we were staring at them, they were staring at each other. And what I hated was that nobody was staring at me.

Duncan cocked his head to the side.
"Courtney baby, are toi planning to let go anytime soon?"
A cough, and to be honest, it sounded kind of forced. "Nah. I'll be holding on, Duncan."
"Aha." It was simple, and yet Courtney saw it as an insult. The feelings inside her were all balled up and smushed under the heavy weight of her love, and it was so sad that she had so much l’amour inside her, and there was nowhere for it to go.
"Baby?" He raised an eyebrow, staring at her as if she was the most beautiful girl in the world... ou at least, that's what Courtney liked to think.

In reality, Duncan was trying to figure out why she wasn't responding, ou why her hand was getting freaky pig-sweaty in the clasp of his paler one.

And in yet another reality, Courtney was wondering why his hand was so big. And why Duncan was staring at her so intensely. So intensely.

Here, we have the first person that isn't Duncan ou Courtney speak...

"Are we done yet?"
Every head in the room turned towards Lindsay.
She giggled, loving the attention. "I'm sorry for interrupting, but we should stop now."
Eight gasps sounded one after another.
"You're saying?" A crazed scoff... and a deep sigh. "You simply cannot be serious."
"No... no!" Lindsay didn't get it. "TYYLEEERRR!"

Whatthehell.

Tyler appeared, his brown eyes wider than ever. Goddamn. It wasn't as if he was about to propose to her. But then again... maybe he was. I suppose about ten million readers would enjoy that.

So...

"Lindsay, will toi marry me?"

Whatthehell.

No.. this isn't as crazy as it seems! Everybody gasped at the sound of the proposal, and twenty heads turned towards Tyler. Then they swiveled as one towards Lindsay. Gazes lingered on the blonde's face for a while, then, almost one at a time, they turned towards to proposer. Nooo... it wasn't Tyler. DIDN'T SEE THAT COMIN', DIDYA?!

"Duncan?!"
"DUNCAN!"
"Duncan..."

The last calling of his name was whispered, and it was damned surprising, obviously, coming from Courtney. And if you're that clueless, Duncan is the proposer, got it?! And oooh, it looks like little Courtie is saddie..

She cleared her throat, and when she spoke, it was far plus Courtney.

"DUNCAN! Why would toi propose to Lindsay? You're supposed to be in l’amour with me. Remember?"
Duncan was Rebelle enough to laugh. We all held our breaths, waiting for his death to come. "No."

That's all he said.

"You are, toi know! That's why we were matched up in Total Drama Island, god! Why do toi think people like us together so much? 'Cuz we're cute!" I think she kinda Lost her mind there.
Duncan shook his head. "Oh, no. No, no. Courtney," he a dit firmly, grabbing her par the hips and drawing her close. "We can't do this, toi know. It wasn't my choice to fall for you, and it could never be. We are not cute, whatever that would mean. You're the cute one. I'm, well, I don't know what toi would call me." Right after he spoke, Duncan lifted a finger to his lips and poked his tongue out, and after smiling mischievously, he held it up and pressed it square in the middle of Courtney's chest. He held it there.

Courtney... Well, this one is described in the paragraph below.

Amazed par his deep words (and well, where his damp fingertip was), Courtney looked down, at least she tried to. As quick as he could (and that was pretty damn quick) Duncan flicked her chin, and Courtney jumped back.

"You... you..."
"You hottie, my Duncan," Duncan finished for her. He pulled her close and kissed her.

When they pulled apart, Courtney had a dreamy smile on her lips. "... thought toi a dit we weren't right for each other," she murmured, her voice slurred.

"Well, baby," Duncan puckered his lips in an exaggerated kissy-face tactic, "it is Christmas."
