Katie: *Puts her forehead on her knee* It doesn't matter. I'm not all the way healed and I can still fight. My legs still feel a bit weak.
Tomoyo: So you're fighting?
Katie: Yeah. If the war is called off, then I still need to regain some of my strength before the invasion.
Lance: So you're training with the guys...
Katie: Yup. I mean, there's no policy saying we can't.
Tomoyo: *Shrugs*

Sebastian: She's a new vampire, she's not weak. She just needed to learn how to control her power, which she has already mastered while in Tokyo. I'm sure she's unlocked other abilities but she still has a lot to learn.
Evangeline: She still isn't as strong as I am.
Sebastian: Strength doesn't matter. Strategy, and Courage counts.
Evangeline: She's shaking! Look at her! *getting frustrated*
Sebastian: But she's in the arena as we speak, she is afraid of the consequences, but she's focused on getting the job done. I don't see you down there Evangeline.

Katie: So, how is it at your place?
Tomoyo: Not much to be proud of.
Katie: Why not?
Tomoyo: My dad and I don't talk much since he got laid off. We used to be so close when I was around five, but now he won't even bother to even get off the couch. It's kind of a disappointment.
Katie: Oh. Well at least you have get to see your dad.
Tomoyo: What?
Katie: I haven't seen my dad since I was five. I only told Lance and Christian why though.
Tomoyo: Would you ever tell me?
Katie: *Sighs* Okay. *Turns to Tomoyo* My mom had me when she was only sixteen. My dad was seventeen though, so he acted like he was too much of a man to even look after me as a kid. The truth was that he was practically a nobody. He was a delinquent and he was constantly suspended from school. So my mom never talked to him after I was born but I would still visit him every other weekend or so. But one day when I got dropped off him and my Uncle Jay got into a fight and it got physical. My Uncle Jay told him he was too weak to take care of me, so my Dad got upset and said it's my mom's fault she had me and I was a stupid mistake.
Tomoyo: Whoa.
Katie: Yeah both my Uncle and my Dad were drunk at the time. *Laughs* But sometimes I wonder if he meant it or not. I don't really know where he is now, but I kinda am worried about him. He was in a gang related "issue" and I just don't want his to get hurt.
Tomoyo: Why? He's just an a$$ who put his reputation before you!
Katie: I know, but I know I'm better than him. One day when he and my mom are old, I'm gonna have to take care of them both. I won't punk out like he did, I'll own up to my responsibility.
Tomoyo: Oh. I'm sure your twice the person he'll ever be.

Tomoyo: So your Uncle takes care of you?
Katie: Kinda, he's not much of a good role model... at all. XD ...But he looked after me, he taught me a lot. He's really loud and over-protective, but he will do anything for me... which is why I'm gonna have to look after him when he's an old fart too! *Laughs a bit*
Tomoyo: Wow.
Katie: ^^
Tomoyo: Well, I'm going back inside.
Katie: *Gets up* Me too. It's getting pretty chilly out again.

*In the Dining hall*

Dante: ugh I hate wearing these monkey suits

Chris: ditto

Claire: oh calm down, I actually like this kimono

Eve: plus I think you guys look nice in suits

*On the Balcony*

Alice: *to Katie* wow that was some life story

Cole: yeah I guess we all have some kind of background

Alice: Cole, they don't want to know our stories

Cole: why? I think somebody other than Claire and Chris should know our past

Katie: Ah, I would tell you more but you would probably go to sleep hearing the rest. XD But I don't mind listening, I'm not really much of a talker... But I'm a good listener. ^^
Tomoyo: We're all friends here right?

*On the Balcony*

Cole: well you might find this hard to believe but I was born in 1785

Cole: we wizards age slower than other beings and can live for over 1000 years

Alice: just continue with the story cole

Cole: ok, anyway it was 1785 and Electricity just made it into my village but only the rich had it

Cole: so my mom was poor but she married a rich doctor but it didn't last long. Once my fathers family found out that my mother was poor they kicked her out of the family.

Cole: I lived with her until I was 5 when my father returned but only to take me to his family and leave my mother in poverty. He loved her but his family hated the poor

Cole: When I was 9 I found a book my mother had given me, It was all about Magic using Electricity. So I taught my self magic and now I have my powers.

Cole: once my father learned about me practicing magic, he sent me to live with my mother because magic was illegal for the rich. At my mothers I tried to practice magic but with no luck because of no electricity

Cole: My mother saw my talent and we traveled to convince my fathers family to let her live there but on the way, we were attacked by theives. My mother and I tried to runaway from them but they we're to fast.

Cole: We were about to die then my father appeared and fought the thieves. He defeated all of them but died because of his wounds. After hearing that he died to save my mother, his family put a bounty on me and my mother. So we left our village and never returned.

Cole: my mother now lives in florida being kept alive by the fountain of youth.

Alice: wow you never told me that much about your past

Cole: I know *sits on the floor*

Katie: *Turns around*
Tomoyo: Katie?
Katie: *Sniff* What?
Tomoyo: Are you crying?
Katie: No. *Wipes eye*
Tomoyo: You are.
Katie: You're dumb, no I'm not.
Tomoyo: You're afraid to cry?
Katie: What are you talking about?

*On the Balcony*

Cole: Katie just calm down, its my story, I'm not crying

Alice: well I guess it's my turn

Alice: I was born with my powers and my parents were both magic users.

Alice: around my 4th birthday, my mother dissapeared at sea. She was working on a freighter as a navigator when the ship sank in a storm. She could still be out there but I doubt it

Alice: My father was devastated and he spent the next 10 years being over protective. He thought all my friends were dangerous and never let me go play after school.

Alice: So when I was 14 my grandmother conviced my dad to let me live there for the summer. I spent 3 months in some small town next to a lake.

Alice: some of the weirdest things happened like people dissapearing, lake monsters and everybody seemed to be a magic user

Alice: I met cole at the local swimming spot and we've been together ever since

Cole: wow another good story

Katie: I am not crying! DX
Tomoyo: That's a lie. *Chuckles a bit*
Katie: >.< I'm going inside. *Walks in*
Tomoyo: *Walks in after her*
~Katie's room, before the meeting with the other girls~
Katie: *Sitting on the bed, watching t.v.*
Tomoyo: Why are you so afraid to cry?
Katie: I'm not afraid to cry.
Tomoyo: *Sits down by Katie*
Katie: *Looks at Tomoyo and eyes dart back to the t.v.* I have nothing to cry about.
Tomoyo: You were just crying! XD
Katie: ... -.-'
Tomoyo: Tell me... *Annoyingly pokes her side*
Katie: Stop it! DX
Tomoyo: *Sits on Katie*
Katie: Agh! Get off, you're killing me dude!
Tomoyo: *Hums*
Katie: Ugh fine.
Tomoyo: *Gets off and sits in the window*
Katie: When I was little, I never talked. I was shy, and I wasn't like the other kids. I would always play with my favorite stuffed rabbit, Ruthie while the kids played with trucks and barbie dolls. I was always being picked on and teased because I was so shy. I still am a bit shy too, but not as worse as I was in kindergarten and pre-school. One day I was waiting outside for my Uncle to walk me home from school and there were all of the kids picking on me. One boy pushed me down and made me scrape my knees. I didn't do anything. I just sat there on the ground crying like a baby, holding Ruthie.
Tomoyo: *Still listening*
Katie: But then Lance came to the rescue chucking pebbles at the kids. Lance was my only friend back then. I remember all of the kids took off running! *Laughs a bit*
Tomoyo: *Laughs a little*
Katie: My uncle saw the whole thing and he said, I shouldn't cry. He told me not to cry because he said I should never cry in front of a bully because they'll always come back to hurt me again, and it makes me look weak.
Tomoyo: Well, I'm not a bully aren't I?
Katie: I- *A bit dazed*
~Flashback~
Lance age 5: *Holds out hand*
Katie age 5: *Flinches, covering her face*
Lance: Don't worry. I'm not a bully aren't I?
Katie: *Puts down hands*
~Flashback over, present day~
Katie: No.
Tomoyo: Are you staring at me?
Katie: *Smiles a bit* No.
Tomoyo: *Laughs a little*
Katie: How come you can't be this way during training? -_-
Tomoyo: *Pats her back* Well, we're all friends here. You don't have to be afraid to cry, not even in front of me.
Katie: *Nods*

*In the Dojo*

Chris: *practicing his kicks*

Claire: if you keep training your gonna hurt yourself

Chris: I have to keep practicing and get stronger

Claire: ok but If you need me, I'll be with Katie and the other girls *walks up stairs*

*In the Lounge*

Cole: *sleeping on the couch*

Alice: man when Cole is tired, he sleeps like a rock

Alice: *turns on the tv*

*On the roof top*

Eve and Dante: *watching the sky for stars*

Eve: well this isn't very fun

Dante: why?

Eve: I can't tell if any of these are stars or just planes

Dante: oh just think of them all as stars

Katie: *Looks at alarm clock* Okay, get out. I'm gonna change! *Pushes Tomoyo out*
Tomoyo: Okay, okay!
~Five minutes later~
Christian: Okay, silly string... Check! ^^
Hazel: Good, that's everything.
Katie: Perfect! *Still wearing kimono* Okay, here's the deal. We CANNOT let anyone know we're gone. So for now, take your "fancy" clothes with you so we can change before we enter the house. Then, they'll think think we were still here the whole time giggling and talking about boys or something. Got it?
*Hazel and Christian nod*
Katie: Alright. *Opens window and jumps out and lands on her feet*
Christian: *Jumps out and lands on his feet, stumbling*
Hazel: Eek! *Jumps out*
Christian: *Catches Hazel*
Katie: Alright, let's head out! *Sneaks towards the gate and climbs it*
*Christian and Hazel follow after her*
~The party store~
Katie: *Buys a lot of silly string and construction paper*
Christian: *Carrying 10 bags of balloons and a huge net*
Hazel: *Pushing a cart with a disco light inside of it*
Katie: *Puts stuff in cart*
Christian: *Puts stuff in the cart*
Hazel: And we still have a lot to do!
Katie: I know. Let's go find the lights!
Hazel: Which kind?
Katie: Almost like Christmas lights, only white!
Christian: Gotcha.
Katie: Hazel, go look for confetti cans!
Hazel: Alright!
Katie: *Goes to look for glow in the dark markers*
~The mansion~
Lance: *Walks by Katie's room, as her room is blasting with music* Hmm. *Keeps walking*

*At the Party Store*

Claire: *looking for a strobe light* where do they have the strobe lights!

*At the Mansion, Eve's room*

Eve: *trying to take a nap* ugh

Eve: *hits the wall* Katie turn that music down!!!!

*In the Lounge*

Dante: *reading Nintendo Power* Mario in 3D Awesome!

Cole: *sleeping like a rock on the couch, snoring*

Alice: Cole wake up! your snoring!

Cole: *wakes up* ugh what!

Chris: *walks into the room* hey have you guys seen claire?

Alice: nope

Dante: not since dinner

Chris: oh I'm gonna call her *calls Claire*

*At the Party store*

Claire: *hears her phone* oh no its Chris, what do I say?

Katie: *Takes Claire phone and turns it off* There you go! ^^
Christian: Got it!
Katie: Good. I got the markers. Claire, you and Hazel can finish getting what you're looking for. Me and Christian are going to the grocery store. *Hands Claire and Hazel money* There's my share.
Christian: *Gives them money* Here's mine.
Katie: And give us back our change!
~Wal-Mart~
Katie: *Gets a lot of 3-liter sodas and puts them in the cart with the other stuff*
Christian: *Puts candy in the cart*
Katie: Okay, we need actual food.
Christian: Well what does Sebastian like to eat?
Katie: Hmm... He likes to eat those little fruit pie thingys. Maybe we should make one!
Christian: What's the recipe?
Katie: Hmm, I don't know... I'll search it on my phone. *Uses google on her phone* Got it! I'll go look for the ingredients!
Christian: Is there anything you need me to get?
Katie: Get french bread boneless chicken.
Christian: Gotcha!
*They both split up*
~Over by Katie~
Katie: *Puts everything in the grocery cart* There we go. *Calls Her mom*
Joetta: *Through the phone* Hello?
Katie: Ma, did you ever find out what he might want for his birthday?
Joetta: *Through the phone* I asked him what he's interested in, but all he said was working in his lab. He's obviously not telling the truth.
Katie: He can't be telling truth, that's boring! Oh well, I guess we're gonna have to find out the hard way then.
Joetta: *Through the phone* Katherine, don't do anything stupid.
Katie: I won't. Alright, bye ma. Love you! *Hangs up*
~Tokyo, The mansion~
Tomoyo: I don't know. Should we go check in Katie's room?

*At the Mansion, In the lounge*

Chris: weird, she didn't answer her phone

Alice: well she always answers her phone

Chris: oh well the battery probably died

Cole: you guys hear that loud music?

Alice: Tomoyo have you seen Katie, Christan or Hazel around here?

*In Eves Room*

Dante: *looking through the fridge* ugh nothing american in here, I so want some BBQ Chicken Pizza

Dante: *stomach grumbles* I'm gonna find a McDonalds around her *walks outside*

Claire: hey Katie we got the rest of the stuff from the party store

Claire: are you sure Sebastian wants us partying with the whole vampire war thing happening?

Katie: Well, I just thought maybe since he's always drowning in his work and everything maybe he should take a break before the war.
Christian: I have everything.
Katie: That's it for now. We can finish tomorrow or the day after.
Christian: Alright, let's go pay for the stuff.
Katie: Alright!
~Outside~
*Everyone's walking*
Katie: *Carrying grocery bags*
Christian: *Carrying the party supplies*
Hazel: *Carrying disco light*
Katie: Hey, who wants to take a break?
Christian: I DO!
Hazel: Thank god. This disco thingy is hurting my arms!
Katie: *Walks to the bridge and sits down on a bench*
Hazel: *Sits down next to Katie*
Christian: *Sits on Katie and leans his head on her shoulder*
Katie: I'm exhausted! We should have just called a taxi! *Matter fact, I'll call one now. *Dials the taxi service's number*
Christian: Uh... Katie?
Katie: Shh, one sec.
Christian: No, look.
Katie: One second, Christian!
Christian: *Turns Katie's head around* LOOK!
Katie: *Sees Dante walking* D= Quick hide! *Pull out fan and covers her face*
Christian: *Jumps behind a tree*
Hazel: *Covers her face with a fan*

Dante: *walking down the street* *looks around* weird, I thought I heard somebody I know

Chris: Its getting dark out, I'm gonna look for Claire *walks outside*

Alice: some dumb game show

Katie: *Sneaks into the window and hears Eve knocking* SORRY DON'T COME IN! Uh... Um, I'm naked!

Hazel: *Goes to the bathroom to put on her kimono*
Katie: *Goes into the bathroom*

Claire: *carrying 5 bags of Candy and lights* ugh where do you want to put this stuff, its really heavy

*On the street*

Dante: *walks into McDonalds* Finally some american food

Dante: *gets 3 boxes of Chicken Nuggets* *walks back to the mansion*

*At the Mansion, In the Lounge*

Cole: *asleep in front of the tv again*

Alice: ugh he's asleep again, what ever *walks to the kitchen*

Chris: *tries to call Claire again* -_- dammit why isn't she answering

Katie: *Pushes a dresser out of the way, revealing storage area* In here.
Christian: *Starts putting bags in the storage area*
Hazel: What about the food?
Katie: Aw, crap. I forgot all about that! Uh... I'll sneak it down stairs. *Ties her sash from the kimono towards the back, picks up bags, and starts heading downstairs*
