Total Drama Island Fancharacters Article: No Bueno v_v

Okay. So I've been noticing that the Total Drama OC community is basically mainly all about people's OCs being liked par others. For this to happen, they make their OCs look attractive, like they'll only get Friends and girlfriends/boyfriends for their appearance. Obviously, in the real world, everyone doesn't have beauty on the outside, but they practically still have Friends and girlfriends/boyfriends. Therefore, I don't know why the hell people make their OCs look overly "attractive" (at least attractive in their eyes). Then again, looks on the outside are a horrible way to judge people. Like on Temptation par Tyler Perry, the guy the main character lady cheated on her husband with was lookin' pretty fine, but at the end, he gave da houe aids. Instead on making OCs based on looks, toi should make them based on personality. Like, SERIOUSLY. Also, there's SO MUCH sex-symbol OCs in this club. I'd like the OCs if they weren't used only to be in a stupid l’amour triangle ou get all the "bitches" and "hoes", but they are, so I'm not an extreme fan of these newer OCs y'allz is makin' that are all based on looks and have sucky-ass personalities. Like seriously, at least out some THOUGHT into the personalities. But yeah, I don't really give a damn ou even two shits ou nine dimes for the sex-symbol OCs to be "laid-back" ou some stupid-ass over-used shit like that. Like Rossy makes awesome OCs. Most of hers aren't the prettiest ou the hottest, but they have awesome, complex personalities. And most peeps like Crinpy probably for her hair ou other features like that, but that's not why I like her. e_e Like, I get soooo pissed when I see an OC that's been drawn to look like a try-hard "chick magnate" ou whatever toi call a girl who gets all the guys. For example, I was disappointed when Wifey a dit "he was gonna get all the ladies" ou something about Lysander. Honestly, that's probably the only reason why he was made, no offense. Also, I make my adoptable look attractive because I know that's the only way people are gonna take them. That theory is true, therefore it shows that most OCs in this club are based on appearance plus than personality. ;-;
In conclusion, PLEASE start making your OCs have an interesting well-put-together personality instead of a try-hard Casanova look.

sorandom15 this is very true to be honest. i have only made a few oc's that i planned on never pairing up and put some thought into personality and Backstory :/ *like Lily and Adri* but well said

ninjacupcake88 I agree with this completely. Don't make an OC just because you want people to like them or other OCs to date them, create an OC that you actually like and have thought out and developed. I try to make my OCs have neat backstories, and I think I do a pretty good job of it to be honest, even with my sex-symbol-esque OC (Francis), I have tons of stuff planned for Sex and White Lies to work on his backstory. I don't mind OCs that are about the looks, as long as they have a good personality to boot.

princess2109 That's NOT why Lysander was created. Lysander was created A. because I need another guy OC. Ciaran was only guy at the time and I was barely using him I had only recently gotten Isaiah but I felt like I needed three boys to make it even. B. Because I wanted to draw, And I started to doodle and made Lysander. and C because Ciaran was made as my first guy and he honestly doesn't have a set personality. Isaiah is the little brother that acts the older one in most cases. And I wanted a guy that could loud and obnoxious when he pleased but knew when he had to tone it down a bit. Lysander wasn't not made to be a whore. I said in whole hearted fun. For Shits and Giggles. I'm not even really TRYING to get him hooked up. I've role played with him alittle and THEY ASKED FIRST. If he was single. The closest I've come to putting him a relationship was when I was shitting around with April in a Roleplay with Benji and Lysander. I'm not trying to being a bitch or anything but i'm telling you straight up Lysander was NOT made to be a whore and 'get all the ladies.' None of my OC's are made for that reason.

I admit yeah i've done that a few times but with my main ocs (timmy, riley, billy, sayu ect.) they weren't made to be ,attractive but because they're fun and their personalities are something i've worked on. ^-^ Not to mention riley has been single ever since 2011 XDD but yes. i completely agree with you.
