Uh, hi. This is my first article, so please try not to judge me too much. I only like replying to other people's comments. I hate writing. But I figured, toi know, live and learn.
So, this is my take on the info.
First off, Roman mythology. So, if toi read the first two chapters from The Lost Hero, you'll know that Jason when encountering something Greek (or Roman) he remembers the Roman name. I remember lire this quote somewhere(I have terrible memory)"Manhattan has their own problems, their own gods." So? We all know Jason currently isn't in Manhattan. And the Greek Gods are. According to Leo, they are somewhere in Nevada. Maybe Jason came from another area where the Roman gods were, and so maybe he found out he was a demigod, their Roman names, blah blah blah. And then he gets brainwashed ou something and gets put on a school bus going to the Grand Canyon.
Take two-Jason's Identity. Now, everyones saying he's a son of Boreas, Zeus, etc. I personally think he's a son of Boreas. Why? Well, in the sample chapters, on page 40 I quote, "the fact that he was riding the winds might've been cool under different circumstances, but he was too much in shock." I hate doing research, so from what I know, children of Zeus can only control whatever is in their father's territory, like how Thaila can summon lightning bolts, how Percy can control water in a body of water(well, I think he can control it almost anywhere, but, toi know), etc. Zeus doesnt really own the air. It's just in his territory. Boreas, however, is the god of the North Winds, and apparently, the bringer of winter. He is responsible for making the wind blow. Now, the way I see it, riding the winds is like one of those carnival rides where it rakes toi really high and drops toi really suddenly(Im great at describing things! =D )
Lets say you're scared of heights. The higher toi go, the plus queasy toi get. toi get scared and toi feel queasy. Lets relate that to the pressure under Jason's feet. And then when toi get closer to the ground, you're less nervous. So its not really like flying.
Wow, I wrote a lot.
Take 3- The characters in the books. I read the character info about them(thank you, Amphitrite!) and the first thing i thought was, "yay! we have our new trio!" The seconde thing was why the Hades was Hera involved? and why did they mention Juno, her Roman equivalent(though toi probably know that)? She didnt have any children, according to the article. And for some reason, her powers are restricted, so, apparently, she needs some assistance.
Okay, I'm feeling a little bit tired, so I'm gonna stop talking about Hera and déplacer on.
Next, Leo.
When I read his article I was like, wow. I want that for Christmas! Anyways, in his picture, his tool ceinture was bubbling with greek feu and other stuff, which I thought was kinda strange, 'cause it was limited to everyday objects. I also thought, toi know, where can toi get an item that great? From Hephaestus, probably. Since I think Leo is a son of Hephaestus, it could've been a gift. Also, apparently he can survive Festus' fire. I wonder why?
Piper. Her weapon is a dagger, Katoptris. Apparently it can reflect plus than the wielders reflection. In the picture it showed Pipers reflection in the dagger and some guy that looks like Ganondorf from Legend of Zelda. I think that would be like the shield used in The Last Olympian, ou something like that.
Festus:Just your average, run-of-the-mill bronze mechanical dragon, friend and chauffeur to Jason, Leo, and Piper (and friends, maybe). Now, this dragon is obviously the one on the cover. I dont figure theres two. It's not like toi can just walk into Superstore and put one in your cart.
Now, this dragons definitely an automaton. Automatons are known to lose control over themselves. I wonder if Festus will. Probably not.
Ha, I started this at 7:00 and now its 8:02 I take a long time.
Well, uh, bye. Please commentaire so I can improve myself in my suivant article. =)
