Welcome to the Spoiler Room, a safe place for spoiler addicts to come on a weekly basis to learn what’s coming next on their favorite shows and, hopefully, get a few of their own questions answered. If you want scoop on a specific show, send your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com.
Sometimes being a huge fan of a show really does pay off. I hear
star Lena Dunham will guest in an upcoming episode slated to air in March. While her role is, of course, being kept under wraps, I hear she may have a connection to OPA. Wouldn’t it be cool if Hannah Horvath was secretly a Gladiator?
Alas, he’s still a Capsicle during this time period, but Captain America will get name checked during the finale when Dr. Ivchenko sets his sights on making Howard Stark pay for his sins. Suffice it to say, Peggy will face a very familiar situation.
What can you tell us about Dylan Baker’s return to
Dylan Baker’s return will be approximately two times better than any other time he’s been on the show … because he literally plays two characters. When Cary and Diane go to court to file a defamation suit against a television show that depicted Colin Sweeney as a murderer, Baker gets to reprise his role as both Sweeney and the hip actor who plays him on TV. Let’s just say that Sweeney’s time in court does not go as planned, and yes, he turns to Alicia for help.
Although Aaron tries to make a great first impression, you will be shocked by how Rick returns the favor. With Rick less than trustworthy of this new familiar face, someone else will surprisingly step up to make some decisions for the group. Oh, and this probably isn’t a spoiler, but he’s not the only “new guy.”
is over, do you have scoop on any of Chuck Lorre’s other shows?
! The CBS comedy (which is moving to 9:30 p.m. ET starting next week) will be holding an
reunion… sort of. Tom Amandes will guest-star in an episode slated for April as Dr. Richard Gunderson, a recently widowed dentist who has a surprising date with Bonnie (Allison Janney). You may be asking yourself where the
reunion part comes in: Amandes co-starred on the WB-turned-CW series with Chris Pratt, who is now married to Anna Faris, who stars on
Ask and you shall receive: Robin Hood and Rumplestiltskin are not the only characters who will be leaving Storybrooke. “You’ll see some characters arriving in Storybrooke and you’ll see some characters departing as well,” executive producer Adam Horowitz tells me. “We think it’s fun to venture outside the confines of Storybrooke and see some of our characters in the real world.” Case in point: We’ll actually see an entire episode devoted to Robin Hood’s plight in New York City.
Now that the two-parter is done, the show will be getting back into more lighthearted stories, but don’t expect that to last long. “We have a Ryan-centric episode coming up that’s a dramatic episode,” showrunner David Amann said. “He’s been moonlighting working security and he’s protecting an important person. Something goes horribly awry while he’s doing it, and he gets embroiled in trying to find out what exactly happened.”
bosses whether we’d get a more definitive answer by season’s end, executive producer John Eisendrath said, “A more definitive answer, yeah. There are going to be answers about that that are more definitive.” But, interjects fellow EP Jon Bokenkamp, “More definitive and definitive, that’s a fine line.”
Since he’s on Death Row, he won’t get nearly as much screen time this season—in fact, you won’t see Ryan’s favorite serial killer during the first two episodes. But Ryan will be forced to visit another familiar face after one of his team-members is compromised.
Do you know anything about The Witness that the Pallid Man mentioned on
Dr. Railly will get her first glimpse at The Witness during Friday’s episode, though it’ll be a while before you really get a sense of who this mysterious person is. “The witness’ role in the 12 Monkeys, who he is, what his goals are, is a larger question for the series,” executive producer Natalie Chaidez says. “He’s a figure of tremendous mystery, he’s a tremendously powerful figure in the 12 Monkeys and he is part of the bigger mythology.” Oh, and is it just me, or does it seem like Cole is totally going to end up being the precursor to the virus? He looked like he saw a ghost when he spotted those bones in the Night Room. Hmmm.
Worst news I’ve heard all week: RIP, Harris Wittels. The
co-EP, who was taken from us far too soon, wrote some of my favorite episodes, including “94 Meetings” and “Road Trip.” He will be missed.
That’s a wrap on this week’s Spoiler Room. Be sure to email your questions to spoilerroom@ew.com or tweet them to @NatalieAbrams.
