Okay as everyone knows, I have no Lost l’amour for My Little Pony. The montrer itself is fine, but the brony-fan-base is just… guh.
Anyway, a lot of people talk about how Rainbowdash is faster than Sonic. This is a tricky thing to answer.
The thing is that Sonic runs, and Rainbowdash flies. In the air, she’s faster par far. The only way Sonic would beat her is if in Super-Sonic form, which increases his speed, making it cheatish. However on the ground, Sonic is faster.
I’ve seen clips from the show, montrer Rainbowdash running at fastest (no side-affects… yet), and she was not even close to the speed of sound.
So who is faster? Well neither. Wings and Feet are two different body parts. Rainbowdash also has an advantage, as she flies, giving much less obstacles, while Sonic would have to bob and weave ou swim if needed.
If Sonic had wings he might be slower, but on foot, Rainbowdash is slower. And may I remind certain people that Sonic IS much faster than the speed of sound. Contrary to the rather petty video par “game theory”, it has been shown in video, and comic, and game, that Sonic has gone faster than the speed of sound, making it even plus improbable to calculate what his speed is compared to Rainbowdash.
I would say that neither is faster, but no one can really tell, again because of different body parts used to travel. Sonic is better when running, and Rainbowdash is better at flying (unless Super Sonic is involved).
To all toi bronies out there, all I can say is tough love, sorry, but this makes sense. If toi agree, great, if toi disagree, that’s fine, but please lay off the back talk just because I pointed this out.
Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go try to do something manly to forget the Friendship I was exposed to.
