Shadow and I arrived at the tents later than we expected, because par the time we got there, Sonic and the others were scowling at me. Shadow looked very upset and quickly removed his hand from mine. I looked at him questionably but remembered our little promise. This all odd, why are the guys behaving so menacingly? Amy shook her head, picked Tails up, and walked into the infirmary. Sally looked at me with disappointment and glared at Shadow. Rouge stopped examining her precious émeraude and walked towards Sonic. They whispered a few things in each other's ear, which I desperately wanted to know about. Sonic smiled at Rouge, and nodded. Shadow clenched his fists and I felt his ruby eyes start to light up with fury. "Calm down, Shadow." I cooed softly enough so the others wouldn't hear my voice. Shadow sighed, "Fine, but only for you...." I felt touched and a red blush filled my cheeks. Rouge spotted it quickly, and I mentally face-palmed myself. Now that bat's gonna poke her little nosy nose where it doesn't belong. She walked away with a shake of her hips and a brief flip of her short hair. A look of disgust was thrown on my face and Shadow shook his head in disbelief. "I'm going to go somewhere, be right back." He skated away from us, leaving me and Sonic alone.

Sonic smiled at me, his émeraude eyes glistening slightly. I was a bit furious at Sonic, but pushed the feeling down. "What do toi want?" I a dit with an edge. "Weren't toi and Rouge flirting with each other there?" Sonic blinked and smirked. He thought I was in a joking mood? Puh-leze. "We weren't flirting. Just talking about very important matters that toi don't need to know about. How about I take toi somewhere?" I raised my eyebrows. Probably part of a plan they were forming. Sonic twiddled with his thumbs, and his feet were tapping nervously on the ground. Now he cared whether I went with him somewhere ou not? Fishy stuff was going on...."Fine." I groaned, "But make it quick and fast. No sly ou nasty moves buster." Sonic smirked amusingly and extended his hand. I shook it and Sonic swooped me off my feet faster than a bird on the wing. "Aah!" I said, my face turning 60 shades of pink. Sonic giggled, "What? Never had someone pick toi up bridal style?" He a dit with a accent of French. I laughed at this. He was being awfully funny lately, not like him. Sonic was funny and bewildering, a guy that could cheer even the gloomiest of people up. But he never acted this way around people alone, only in public. "Sonic, stop making me laugh! You'll give this girl a cœur, coeur attack!" I a dit with a bright and cheery grin. Sonic ran super duper fast, his legs moving like blue little blurs to human eyes. I sighed. Then a thought hit me, where the hell is he taking me?

I asked Sonic this question, and he merely replied with, "You'll see, it's a surprise...." I gulped. This surprise better not be his tent bedroom, ou Shadow would kill him. Wait! Shadow! Oh god, he would kill me and Sonic if he saw us together, especially like this! A worried expression crossed my face. Sonic looked down at me, his eyes not on the road. "Zo, what's up? toi look like someone just robbed toi of your rifles." I smiled weakly and a dit softly, "It's nothing...just feeling a little thirsty, that's all." Sonic blinked and removed his eyes from me. Whew. That was a REAL close one. The trees, grass, and even the dark blue sky passed par as fast as bullets. The little insects below the ground are probably taking this like an earthquake. Red ladybugs flew past us, their little clear wings flapping in the air helplessly. I giggled and smiled. Sonic looked in my attention and smiled. While holding me, he gently picked up a lady bug with his hand. "Here, toi wanted to see this?" He said, a very small hint of seduction in his voice. I plucked it from Sonic's hand and saw it sparkling like a ruby. The ladybug had yellow dots scattered over it like little miniature suns and a majority of its haut, retour au début part was red. His antennae was a tangerine orange, specks of cerulean blue dotted on haut, retour au début of it. I sighed. "Sonic, this ladybug is so beautiful, it must be very rare." Sonic grinned and replied, "Yeah, it's a real beauty. Hey! I see hints of blue on its little horns there!" He pointed to the antennae. "Sonic, that's called the antenna!" We both laughed. Sonic squinted far ahead and said, "We're here!"

He set me down on the ground. My legs were a little wobbly because they hadn't been used in the past 30 minutes. Sonic walked ahead and scanned the area. "Yep! This is the place. Take a look around Zoe!" I looked up from tying my shoes and saw a wondrous site. I took long minutes to absorb the whole area. It was a big lake with sparkling blue water that looks like it hasn't been polluted ever. Fireflies danced across the water like mini ballerinas, their tails lighting up every few secondes now and then. Lily pads drifted across the lake slowly, their couleurs being baby blue, pink, yellow, and creamy white. The moonlight shined on the lake with the ripples bouncing up and down. Sonic smiled with pride as he saw that my very wide grin. "Do toi like this lake? I go here to calm my nerves down if I'm angry, sad, upset, and just plain pissed." We laughed at the last part, and sighed. Sonic placed a checkered picnic blanket on the green grass, hints of dark cerulean blue on its tips. He patted suivant to him, and I sat suivant to him. He smiled, and whispered softly, "Is Shadow like your soulmate? I caught toi guys holding hands." I shivered nervously. This was a secret! I couldn't tell Sonic that we kissed and made out! Then the whole group would know. But if I asked him why was Rouge jouer la comédie so flirtatious, then in turn, I would tell how I feel about Shadow. It was a win & win, an eye for an eye. But I dearly promised Shadow not to tell. I shook my head and exhaled deeply, "Sonic, it's a secret. I'm really sorry...." Sonic nodded his head. "It's okay, I understand. I don't mind toi having a secret boyfriend thing with Shadow, but Rouge doesn't. That's what she was taking to me about. Rouge was flirting around with Shadow, trying to impress him. But I know his cœur, coeur is with you, so do the others. They were not scowling at you, but at Rouge. And don't take this the wrong way, but I think your really cute." Sonic blushed slightly. Aww, he means well. I thought.

I leaned in to give Sonic a Kiss on the cheek. His mouth dropped down. In his head, he thought I loved him, but I said, "A friend kiss." Sonic sighed with relief. "Oh." He smiled. We laughed happily and Sonic walked us back to the tent. Along my way, I saw Shadow. He looked upset, but I ran over and surprised tackled him. "Hi!!!" I a dit enthusiastically. Shadow grinned and gave me a Kiss on the lips. "Hello my love." He a dit happily, but then got serious. "What was Sonic doing to you? He didn't--" I sighed and gave Shadow a passionate kiss. "No, just a friendly kiss. Like the ones I do to Tails to comfort him." Shadow sighed, "Good." He picked me up and took me to his room. Shadow got on haut, retour au début of me and made out with me. "Ohhh...." I moaned. Shadow smiled as he did simple strokes around my delicate figure. "You have the perfect curves in all the right places. So sexy, lovable and strong...." He licked my neck and nibbled it. I moaned and pushed him away. Shadow looked at me quizzically. "Maybe tomorrow." I a dit cutely. Shadow nodded, curled up suivant to me, wrapped his arms around my waist, pulled me closer to him, laid down on his side, and rested his head on my neck. I pulled my covers over us and kissed his cheek. "Goodnight, Shadow."

And like that we fell asleep. The suivant morning however, we woke up to a surprise.....
