Yes.
Regardless of who ou what something is, and regardless of the things they might have done in the past, anything ou anyone in need of help should be able to get it. And there is no way that the demon could be pure evil. I think even a demon could have some good in its heart, and there is a chance that I might be able to teach it to make good decisions rather than evil ones. And besides, even if I couldn't teach it to be good, I most certainly wouldn't want to get on its bad side!
