How Prince William Reacted to a Baby Having a \'Royal Poop\' During the Couple\'s Visit to Vancouver

Prince William and Princess Kate may have had a day without their kids in Vancouver, but they weren\'t far from diaper duty.

During a Sunday visit to Sheway Pregnancy Outreach Program, a charity aimed towards helping mothers overcome addiction, one 3-month-old baby named Hunter couldn\'t hold in his excitement about meeting the royal couple.

"Hunter had a royal poop just as they were coming to meet us," mother Jordanna Coleman tells PEOPLE.

Coleman had to quickly change her son, so he was cloaked in just a diaper and a blanket to meet Kate and Will. Luckily, William was "very cool" about the incident.

"Will was like, \'Oh, they always have the best timing, don\'t they?\' " she said.

His own kids weren\'t far from his mind. When a 5-year-old girl presented the Cambridges with teddy bears, William accepted the present and said, "George would love this."

Kate was similarly at ease around the children, even though her own, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, didn\'t make the day-trip to Vancouver.

"She adored them; she was amazing with them," says Cameo Hydrochuck of Princess Kate\'s interactions with the kids at Sheway. "If we weren\'t in the place we were, she probably would have just picked them up."

The couple sat on chairs in a play area where toddlers and infants were playing on the floor with their mothers while speaking to the women about their experiences with the unique program and emotional stories about their lives\' ups and downs.

Hydrochuck says she can\'t wait to tell her 3-month-old daughter, Jasmine, of the special encounter with the royal couple when she grows up.

"She\'s lucky," she said of her daughter. "They touched her hand and her foot and everything – she had a royal touch."

While the mothers were excited for the couple\'s visit, the children were less sure of what to make of the event.

One little boy asked, "The Royals are here now?" as Kate and William stood talking to a lead staff member.

The charity tweeted about the "tremendous honor to host the Duke and Duchess here at our Sheway home," adding, "Spoiler alert: they are unbelievably warm and kind."

Plans for the rest of the day in Vancouver include visiting the Immigrant Services Society, attending a reception for young Canadian leaders and celebrities at the Telus Gardens and heading to a Canadian Coast Guard and Vancouver First Responders event at the Kitsilano Coast Guard station in Vanier Park.
