"Dusknoir, Shadow Sneak on Garchomp! Leafeon, use Leaf Blade on Spiritomb!" I commanded. Leafeon gracefully sent out the Leaf Blade, but Dusknoir was blunt and set on hitting its opponent.
"Garchomp, block Dusknoir with Dragon Claw!" Cynthia shouted, determined to finally win against me. Dusknoir's attack was rendered useless, but Cynthia had forgotten about Spiritomb... par the time she realized it, Leaf Blade had already struck. In one hit, Spiritomb went down.
"Your Leafeon has become much stronger. But Garchomp can handle this!" she chimed. She didn't seem deterred. I smirked, still sure I would win this battle.
"I'd like to see toi try! Leafeon, get behind Dusknoir!" I exacted.
"Garchomp, use Draco Meteor on Dusknoir!" Cynthia called, not realizing she just put my plan into action.
"Leafeon, use SolarBeam! Dusknoir, Protect!" I echoed, making Cynthia notice her mistake. She had forgotten my most fatal strategy.
Leafeon finalized powering up SolarBeam just as the Protect shield shed away. Leafeon unleashed SolarBeam, and it was all over.
I had taken down the world's most famous Garchomp in one hit.
Cynthia returned her Pokemon, and I returned both of mine, setting their Poke Balls in my belt, suivant to all my others. Her gaze pierced into my soul, and I suddenly had a small chill.
"Are toi allowed to be that strong in a League?" Cynthia mumbled, laughing a bit.
"You are when toi have so much time to train," I responded.
"I suppose that's true. Well, that was a good battle anyways," she replied.
Suddenly, I heard an explosion.
"What the-?!?!" I gasped, dashing outside. Cynthia followed behind me, concerned.
I locked eyes with the creator of the explosion. My arch nemesis.
Misoli.
"So nice of toi to montrer up, Ophelia. I've been waiting so long to finally see toi again," Misoli a dit smugly. Two men roughly grabbed me par the arms. I struggled as hard as possible, but couldn't shake them.
"Why you-!" Cynthia growled. She reached for her Garchomp, but another man yanked her arm.
"No... I wouldn't do that. toi don't want Ophelia to get hurt, now do you?" Misoli threatened. Cynthia went silent.
"Boys, take her to the helicopter, would toi please?" she requested. They obeyed her commands, and lead me toward the heli against my will. The goon released Cynthia, but before she could grab her Pokemon, Misoli had boarded the helicopter.
"Dire au revoir a votre ami!" Misoli called out to Cynthia. I didn't speak French, but the way she a dit it didn't sound too good either.
When we were off the ground, two female goons tied me up, but I didn't exactly fight back. Misoli evilly smiled at my successful capture, and dismissed the female minions.
"I never thought the Champion would give up so easily like that..." she admitted. "...But that's not the matter at hand right now. Tell me the secret to summoning Rikabia and Hiraisho."
"In your dreams," I muttered, scowling.
"I'm sure you'll change your mind when toi see who's here with me..." she coersed, turning to speak to the minion suivant to her in French. The minion nodded, sauntering behind me. I turned my head to catch a glimpse of the minion pulling a girl from the shadows.The girl had long, wavy black hair, and looked extremely familiar... She was unconscious. It took my brain about two secondes to process the identity of this person.
