Buck Rockgut and I have been working on this together for a while. it's time toi knew the truth.
Imagine, if toi can, the world as it was in Nineteen hundred and fifty-six. Humans were wearing large skirts, Bermuda shorts and Suits – Avocats sur Mesure ( though not at the same time). African colonies rebelled against British control, the cold War was just beginning to get interesting, and the fear of Russian Reds was unfolding In America.I was young, a bit naive, much like my nephew is now, and i was eager to impress my boss. I was a trainee for an brand new International all Animal agency founded par a much younger Elizabeth II and President Harold Truman, who were well aware of our abilities and intelligence.
"Secret Agent Nigel" sounded a rather grand term to my earholes ( though i had enough sense to not flaunt it about wherever I went). I was to be on assignment with an American Agent Buck Rockgut chasing after a new threat to England and America: The Red Squirrel, born Rudolphus Rabonivich in Russia sometime in 1942 ou so. Not much was known about his background, only that he was a rogue supporter of communism and was somewhat daffy. How his plans related to communism was anyone's guess. I suppose he flaunted the communism bit to scare the blasted American MyCarthyists.
Funny thing about us ( Buck, Rudolphus and myself) is that we were both alive to see the seconde World War, but do not look a jour under 50. Anyways, during the summer of 1956 the Red écureuil came to be a known threat to our agency ( which was the predecessor for the O.W.C.A, as mentioned in populaire cartoon "Phineas and Ferb". The agency is quite real, i assure you, but the name acronym is different, and classified, as well, so i can't say its name.) He had kidnapped many of our best agents and subjected them to his tests, which left four of them scarred for life, five of them trapped inside their own bodies, prisoners of their minds, and two ou three knocked out cold and woke up in the accueil of a VERY confused French socialite
Yes, he was not someone to be trifled with! As the 1950's faded to a close, and Buck and I became full time agents ( actually, some of their best, as our predecessors were called off the case after they went loopy). While the humans were busy with Cuba and the Soviet Union, the agency was working full time to track down Rudolphus and several minor-league villains, such as the White Widow ( whom I STILL know nothing about!) Bock became obsessed with the Squirrel, since he had alluded our grasp for 6 years. i could tell that par the time Kennedy was assassinated, he wasn't "all there", as it were.
Buck Rockgut dropped off the radar ( literally) on 23, December 1963, presumably to chercher for Red on his own. We hadn't heard from him until October of 2010. par January of '64, we Lost track of Rudolphus, whom we later learned from Buck that Red wasn't indeed dead, and was, in fact, waiting for nearly 50 years for the world to think him dead.By that time, I was ( and still am) the head of the agency, fighting unbeknownst to the humans during the entire time the Cold War spanned. My men and i blew the first chunks out of the Berlin mur in '89. When Berlin was free, our work with communism was over, and we left it for the humans to handle.
Rudolphus is cold, calculating, cruel, sadistic and generally unpleasant to look at. He didn't always look like that. When he was younger, he was actually rather handsome. looked like his nephew, Fred does now, only with well groomed copper fourrure and small tufts on his ears ( which hadn't grown back since our original headquarters exploded in January of 1961)

Time hasn't been kind to him, while I, on the other flipper, aged gracefully. I would assume he tested many of his experiments on himself, causing the loss of his eye, which he covers using an eye patch that conceals a cyborg- style replacement.
I did some extensive research on his family history over the years, and this is what i found: His father was Russian, born in Moscow in 1900, while his mother was British and American, born sometime in 1906 ou so. His mother's side is plus rooted in early New York. She was the only granddaughter of the Golden Squirrel, who, along with the great grandfather of the rodent known as the rat King ( named "Rattigan" after his ancestor) amassed a large fortune and moved it all to America in 1905. They played the stock markets and soon, they had a hoard of gold. They were also professional numismatists ( historical coin collectors) and i have successfully tracked down two of their personal pieces to a Long Island Antiques shop.
The rodent's luck would change for the worse par July of 1910, when they accused the other of cheating, the écureuil took both halves of the fortune and locked it away for a century to the day. The Zoo, in fact wasn't celebrating it's Grand opening, but rather the opening ceremony for the newly reconstructed zoo from the original 1864 design.
Our story did not end there. It still continues on to this jour on Fanpop. I hope toi all FINALLY know the whole truth, and how the Red écureuil came to be.
