I love Emma much more, but Regina deserves Henry much more. Yes, Emma regretted her decision of giving him up and she's a good mother now, but it doesn't change the fact she gave him up. Regina has been there for him his whole life, and she still legally has the rights to him.

Emma put Henry up for adoption. Putting the child up for adoption means they are no longer your child.

People say "Oh Regina did all these bad things" but those things don't make her any less Henry's mother. Nobody would be saying that if Henry had been Regina's biological child.

I think of Regina as Henry's mother b/c she took care of him since he was a baby.Emma gave him up. End of story. It pisses me off in OUAT how Emma tries to take Henry away constantly. She gave him up. If that happened in the real world, she would be sent to prison for kidnapping. And also Emma lies to Henry to protect herself, every kid deserves to know who their father was. So what if he left you, you're gonna take away the chance of a kid to know his father because of your selfishness? Emma's so-called parented pissed me off and she doesn't deservce Henry. Regina is the real mother here. I feel in gerneral just b/c you are related by blood and gave birth does not mean you are a mother. A mother is someone who has been there for her child and took care of them.

Both deserve him. Really they do. But as mentioned above Emma gave him up. Regina raised him since he was a baby. Where Emma gave him away because she didn't think she could care for him, Regina downed a forgetting potion and chose to risk the breakage of her curse (everything she worked for) to care for him. She was the one who always thought of Henry in season 3. Everything was about him, she didn't let anything distract her from saving Henry as Emma did. She put her life on the line for him on multiple occasions. She was the one to protect him from the spell of shattered sight. She may not be his bio mom, but she has proven time and time again that she loves him as if she was the one to carry and give birth to him.

But some of thing things she had done were just as out of line as the things people knock Gina for. cr6zym0nkey also mentioned that Emma lied to him about Neal. Lying was another thing everyone attacked Gina for--said she wasn't fit to be his mom for. Emma did the same thing.
