I think with the latest episode, Page 23, we've finally completed an important arc. Over the summer I made an article about my speculations as to weather ou not Regina hates herself as well as her ability to forgive herself (link). Now I finally get to type one to sort of emballage, wrap it up.

Since that last article it has been confirmed that Regina really did hate herself with a degree of intensity. That moment when the Arrow leads the Queen to a mirror was so emotional. How she stares at herself in the mirror, crying and saying no. And then her father softly saying, "oh, Regina." That had to be one of my favori Regina moments. It was extremely intense, especially when she smashes the mirror. I've always been of the stance that Regina has a lot of self-loathing, but to actually see it on the screen like that was something else.

I think that Tougher Than the Rest was a pretty solid and enjoyable episode. And with Robin coming back on the screen there have been a mix of opinions around the net. Personally I'm very excited for it.

I'm gonna get the negative out of the way first. The one thing I didn't like about this episode was that it seemed so rushed. For one I'm surprised that they left the wish realm so quickly, in one episode. I've noticed that lately Once has been action, action, action, and not enough plot. I do think that the wish verse should have been expanded on and used more. I mean there was a lot going on; old Hook, Henry wanting vengeance, the nature of the Queen's defeat, dead Belle, the Robin story, etc. All of this was shown to us, and yet none of it was expanded on. Going into the episode--spoiler free--I was expecting it to be one episode in a long line of many wish-verse episodes. Apparently this isn't the case, and that's a shame. I think it would have made plus sense for Regina to interact with Robin in the wish world instead of bringing him to Storybrooke.

Spoiler alert: This article contains spoilers for several seasons of Once Upon a Time. toi have been warned.

The Reality of Heroes

After several seasons of Once Upon a Time I have come to the conclusion that being a hero isn't about being popular; it is instead about something more. I believe that it's about recognizing your responsibility, being accountable for your actions and, when toi make a mistake, its about making the sacrifices necessary to set things right.

If the reality of being a hero is all about responsibility, accountability and sacrifice, then let’s begin par examining the actions of one of the central characters of Once Upon a Time and see if her actions are heroic.

Although a confirmed villain for decades, Regina Mills began a journey to redeem herself many years il y a and along the way, she has taught me a few things about the true nature of heroism.

Regina a dit she wanted to redeem herself and she took her first real step towards this goal at the end of season 2 par attempting to shut down the self-destruct device. She a dit it was her fault that this was happening and she had to take...

“Regina, I have something toi need to see.” David announced.

“David, I just got accueil from an alternate universe, can’t this wait?” Regina frowned.

David set a fair-sized cage upon the counter. “You bought me a pet snake?” Regina asked, knitting her brows quizzically. “A venomous one too…”

“It’s not just any poisonous snake.” David replied. “This one prefers to poison it’s victims with apples instead of fangs.”

Regina stared blankly for a few moments and then her eyes went wide, “she got herself turned into a serpent!?” She huffed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “I leave for a few days and she gets herself turned into a snake.”

“Actually she got turned into a snake within the first few hours.” David pointed out.

“Well that just makes this situation so much better.” Slowly Regina made her way over to the cage gazing at the sleek black cobra with the gaudy or cuff. “What am I supposed to do with her?” She briefly reached a sympathetic hand out to her former self. At an irritable hissing she quickly retracted it.

ABOUT ME

Alias: Kieran
Age: 30+
Gender: Male

Personality: Friendly, open-minded, and l’amour human psychology, children, animals, and doing research for my RPing/writing. I'm also a very passionate writer - I don't hurry from a situation to the next, I l’amour to take it slow and dig into my characters' heads and the situation itself when I write about them. That is not to say I constantly write really in-depth - of course I don't, ou that I'd never do a time-skip - of course I do...Just, i don't want to needlessly hurry. To me, it's quality over quantity.

Been roleplaying since:
Since 2003.

THE PLOT I WANT TO PLAY

This would be just for the two of us, a 1x1 RPG. I have created two OC characters, a father and his young (9+ years old) son into the Once Upon A Time universe. I'm looking for someone to RP the father while I RP the son. There's a lot of room for toi to add your vision in the father. Both are non-magical people born and living here in the land without magic, specifically in London, England - but through the son's belief in everything and...

Inspired par the who has a harder life poll, I decided to make another article on this (I'll also be utilizing some commentaires from there). It kind of goes hand in hand with an older article I wrote; link so I'll kind of be bring up why I think she's still sympathetic as I believe these topics go hand in hand.

One plus side note; despite the source of inspiration this article is going to be Regina focused and I won't be drawing too many comparisons to other characters for the sake of saying she has it harder because I think each character has his/her own struggles that were equally as difficult.

Lost l’amour

One of the main reasons I think that Regina has it hard is because she Lost not one lover but two (technically 3 if toi want to count Graham). And both ways that she Lost her amoureux were both very dark and hard to cope with.

A lot of people seem to be really ripping into Regina because of last week's episode. I do admit there were some aspects that I have to agree with these people on but there are also quite a few places where I think people are being too hard on her. So I'm going to be playing a bit of Devil's advocate.
With that said; a good lot of the points and topics I'm going to discuss are things I've seen on tumblr.

Speeding Up Belle's Pregnancy

This is one of the main complaints I see over on tumblr.

First and foremost while the Queen comes from Regina I still believe there is a pretty decent line separating the pair. Regina is the good half and the Queen is the evil half--duh. Before the Queen at least had that small and good part of herself to keep her in check. This Queen doesn't, Regina isn't there to act as a road block so the Queen just does whatever her little evil black cœur, coeur desires.
The only thing I feel like people can get mayor Regina for, in this regard, is for thinking that splitting herself was a good idea in the first place in the first place.

Mirrors have always been closely associated with Regina, even before her debut as a character in Once through her Disney counterpart. But just because she's now apart from that part of herself doesn't mean that the mirrors are any less symbolic. That a dit I won't be talking much of her relationship with the magic mirror (aka Sidney) as my goal here is to address the symbolism of the mirrors.

Mirrors as Symbolism

The mirror thing started pretty early with Regina.

Back in season 1 Regina was probaby the character most seen in front of the mirror. And quite a number of times she would be holding the book. I've always seen this as the writers' way of saying that she could see herself for who she truly was--that she was one of the few in Storybrooke who knew of her Il était une fois Forest self.

I'd also like to call her constant portrayal in the mirror as a symbol of vanity.

Hey,

I know that I have been écriture 'The return home' and I'm working hard on a new chapter. But this idea got in my mind and I needed to write it. It's a what if? What if Regina had made someone believe that that someone was her daughter and the big sister of Henry. How would this change the once upon a time we all know? And who is this mysterious sister? And can Henry figure out who she is and find Emma to break the curse?

DISCLAIMER: Every character of once upon a time belongs to once upon a time. I wish I worked for them, but I don't. This is me being creative with the ideas they gave us and putting someone in that changes the story.

I hope toi will like it.

TempeGeller.

the same curse, another way

Chapter 1: They mayor's daughter

She turned around as she put the papers on her mother's bureau away once plus again. What was she up to? How was she going to harm the towns people now. Regina, her adoptive mom was a person she didn't understand. In a way she was unable to l’amour her, but at the same time she felt that somewhere inside Regina loved her plus than anyone.

Recently I was discussing with Katara and Audrey the situation with Zelena and Regina. The situation being that argument the pair have in Regina's office where Regina blames Zelena for Robin's death and Zelena gets angry at Regina for splitting herself. Naturally I had to take a stance on this an really I found that I was sympathetic to both characters.

The first point of interest is that Zelena is angry at Regina for going to Snow for conseil as opposed to her. It is my belief that Snow was simply there at the right place at the right time. Zelena simply wasn't there. In fact, if I remember right Snow was the one came to Regina and asked her what the problem was, Regina didn't go to Snow. Snow came outside to check on Regina and Regina started talking. Zelena very well could have came out there and checked on Regina; I was kind of surprised that she didn't. This is sort of why I believe that Zelena's anger towards Regina not consulting her is a bit unfair. I also like to keep in mind that it is Regina's body/personality--she shouldn't have to ask anyone before making a decision like that. I think it was smart for her to do so but she shouldn't have to. Even so, I...

So this is an article I could have sworn I typed ages il y a but apparently did not. I found that out when I wanted to link people to it on coolsinger198's vote lol. Coolsinger198 also made an article on this topic so if anyone is interested in hearing the opposing viewpoint I recommend the article; link She explains her opinions without insulting any character and that's always cool.

So I'll start par saying that I don't think it is 100% Gold's fault that Regina went to the dark side. I think there are other people who got her there and I do think that (naturally) it was her fault too. Not completely but I think he had a huge hand in it and was a major factor.

I say this because I really don't think she would have made the choice if he didn't 1. put it in her head and 2. didn't make it seem like it was the only way. In her article coolsinger198 mentions that Regina was already fantasizing about killing Snow. I totally agree that this is a very solid point. I kind of just interpreted...

Like all other OUAT fans, I have recently been binge-watching the fourth and fifth seasons on Netflix. Season 6 can't come soon enough! As I was watching one of the later episodes of Season 4, "Heart of Gold", Regina a dit a line to Rumple that I could not stand:

"You made me a monster! But I won't let toi do the same to Emma."

She has also a dit this line a couple of other times throughout the series.

I do admire Regina's character development. I really do. Having Friends who cared about her and Henry made her her best self. She has changed for the better, although maintaining her sass. ;)

However, whenever Regina says that Rumple made her a monster, I cringe. Every time she says this, it is a kick in the face to me. Here is supposed to be a character who is supposed to represent redemption and change, and yet she blames her evil past on Rumple?! This bothers me for so many reasons.

The afternoon was clear and warm. Emma was jogging down a path through the sun-lit woods, her blonde hair tied back in a long ponytail. She wasn't thrilled about Hook coming along on a jog, but she had agreed to let him tag along. Emma was jogging in a tank haut, retour au début and shorts, but Hook was wearing his usual black layers. He was also sweating terribly.

"Swan. Swan, slow down," Hook panted, trying to keep up. "Let's give it rest, eh, love?"

But Emma kept up her pace, keeping her eyes firmly on the path ahead of her. "Here, drink some water," she said, giving him her bottle.

Hook took a swig of the bottled water, then cleared his throat. "Swan, how's about we head back to town?"

"What's wrong, pirate?" Emma smirked to herself. "Can't keep up?"

"Well toi should talk… I'm hot as feu jogging in these clothes."

"Well, Hook," Emma leaped a bit to avoid tripped over a root. "You wanted to tag along - toi should have come prepared."

As with my last article; my conversations with Audreygrace inspired me to make this one. Tbh she practically co-authored this one lol--that a dit I will again be using commentaires from the mentioned conversations.

Regina is a woman who just seems to have such a hard time letting things go--from having a hard time forgiving those who wronged her to struggling to forgive herself.

As mentioned prior, Regina can hold a wicked grudge, I mean she cursed a town for 28 years because little Snow White had a hand in the death of her lover. But this grudge-holding isn't just limited to other people. In fact I feel as though she is harder on herself than she is on anyone else. This is something that we've seen throughout Regina's redemption arc and especially in the season 5's finale. And with the Evil Queen now completely separate from Regina herself I have a feeling we will be seeing this a lot more.

With season 5's finale in mind, Regina had a rather touching scene with Emma. I am referring to the one where she claims that if she does bad she'll suffer and if she does good she'll still suffer. In light of this, Audreygrace pointed out that Regina...

So all of the chatting I've been doing with Audreygrace had gotten me to thinking. Mostly about the psychology of our core characters and how they work with and compare to one another. I am particularly captured par Regina in comparison to Gold. They are so similar yet so different. And so I wanted to type up a little something about it. I'll be using bits and chunks of the aforementioned comments.

One way in which I found Regina and or to be very similar is how they both started off as good people and then slowly became corrupt out of desperateness. They were both put in very trying situations and both seemed to be predestined for darkness due in part to their parents.

Regina, however, at least had a little bit of childhood. Gold's life was pretty much difficult from the start. A lot of abandonment, the kind Regina never really felt. First he was screwed over par his father and then he became a father and had his wife leave him and his child almost taken. It was then when he finally got desperate enough to go dark. Regina on the other hand was pretty much okay until her teen years. As seen in 'Sisters' she was kind of a lonely child but she still seemed...

"Please don't hurt me!" Smee begged.

Rumpelstiltskin was coming towards him, grinning like the evil crocodile that he was. There was nowhere to run. Nowhere to hide. Smee was trapped and scared, having been running through the woods for hours; Rumpelstiltskin hot on his tracks. Now the chubby sailor found himself backed into corner with nowhere else to go.

Rumpelstiltskin giggled his stupid little giggle. He found Smee's panic to be very amusing. He stretched out his clawed fingers and went for the frightened man's throat.

"No! Please!" Smee covered his throat defensively and sank down to the ground, waiting for the inevitable attack. "Rumpelstiltskin, stop this! Stay away!"

Rumpelstiltskin ingored his protests and came at him like a feral creature. He pounced and dug his claws into Smee's face, causing him to cry out in pain. Then Rumpelstiltskin pinned him to ground and proceeded to bite off pieces of his face.

Smee screamed in pain and fear as blood dripped from his lacerations. He pleaded for it to stop but it didn't.

Decided to type up an article mostly because I'm curious about the new gif feature lol. But also because I particularly enjoy the outcome of the finale.

The outcome that I speak of is the use of the serum on Regina. The fandom (based on what I've seen in the tags on tumblr) seems to be very mixed on this one. One party thinks it'll be a really neat way to have Regina face herself in such a way and the other thinks that it's very damaging to Regina's character to have she and the Queen be seen as separate entities.

With that said, I wish to present some pros and cons of both;

Pros

Opportunity

With her evil counterpart on the scene, I think Regina will be presented with an opportunity to grow as a character, strengthen her bonds with other characters, and to genuinely forgive herself. All of which I will expand on later.

Two Times The Wonderful

The lord knows that two Reginas is the dream of Evil Regals everywhere. The only thing better than one Regina is two Reginas sparkling majestically across our télévision screens. Surely the Regina we missed out in...

Why would they ruin this?
So as expected tonight's episode was another trip on the feels train. And this time my feels weren't just sad they were angry feels too. So I kind of wanted to type why I'm so mad about this. plus than anything, it's the way they went about killing him that made me angry.

First and foremost, the obvious reason I'm mad; Regina got screwed over again. This is the seconde time she watched her true l’amour die. The seconde time! At this point I feel like the authors when they run out of ideas use she and Rumple as a fallback; they turn 'em evil again. And this time they killed Robin to do that. Regina deserved better than to lose her l’amour again. And let's be honest it was pretty much exactly as it was the first time--talk about re-opening closed wounds. This poor baby. And she's probably gonna blame Zelena and Emma and gosh dammit, that doesn't need to happen! Regina's come way too far for that to happen. I hope Henry and his auteur powers can stop this.

He never fails because the writers won't let him fail until the mid-season finale
I'm not very surprised that I have a very unpopular opinion about Peter Pan, who I absolutely DESPISE! I've always hated the character of Peter Pan, even before Once Upon A Time came into the picture, although at least this one portrays him the way he deserves, as a villain. This article is actually inspired par two articles that my friend, zanhar1, wrote about why she hates Bloom from Winx Club and the unfair biasness that Winx Club has for the good guys, which will inspire a lot of points on why I hate Peter Pan. Also, considering how zanhar1's article about why she hates Bloom ended up getting deleted several times because of crazed Bloom fans reporting it, I'm not taking any chances and am going to save this to a Microsoft Word file, so I can just publier the same article again and not have to start from scratch. So please keep in mind that this is just my personal opinion and that toi shouldn't get so upset about it. Please be polite, comment, and enjoy.

In my opinion, Pan is a villain version of a Gary Stu. A Gary Stu (male version of the term Mary Sue) is usually a character with little to no flaws, who doesn't really struggle, things come easily to them, and a...

Basically what Imma do here is state the song and pull lyrics from each song that just really remind me Regina and how a dit lyric reminds me of her. These aren't in any particular order.

1. Glittering nuage par Imogen Heap; Granted this song is literally about a plague it has a whole bunch of lyrics that just remind me of Regina. I'm not always like this it's something I've become a terrible weakness in my nature, in my blood. Regina wasn't always the evil queen, she became the queen. And the evils she does is a terrible nature. This runs in her blood; the whole cœur, coeur ripping out and what not is from Cora, her blood relative... her mom. The need for power, her former belief that l’amour is weakness--also from her mom. The suivant verse; save me, oh save me save me from myself before I hurt somebody else again reminds me of season 2 Regina. With Henry and Archie she was reaching out for help. She wanted to stop using magic, to stop herself from harming anymore people. Her entire season 2 story line was her trying to hurt people like she had in the past. [i]Domino motion jump starts when we touch a blackout approaching here it comes now, wish me luck it's all...

Aren't they gorgeous?
I had been planning to do this article for a while and I FINALLY have found the time to do it. First, a little background on Judy Garland, for those of toi who don't know who she is. She was an American singer and actress, best known for playing Dorothy Gale in the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz, which had her signature song, Somewhere Over The Rainbow. She would go on to be in other movie roles, such as Meet Me In St. Louis, The Pirate, The Harvery Girls, Easter Parade, and A étoile, star Is Born. I bet many of toi must be wondering what an classic actress would have in common with the Evil Queen herself. Well, Judy's life was FAR from glamorous and was actually very tragic, for similar reasons to Regina.

Starting from when her career in montrer business first began. Her controlling mother, Ethel Gumm, had her three daughters form a chant group called The Gumm Sisters. Back when she was known as Francis Gumm, she was the clear meal ticket for the family because of her exceptional and powerful voice, even at the age of two. She was even called Baby Gumm. However, as she got older, her mother focused mainly on making her a étoile, star because of her amazing talent,...

"TRAPPED par A TITLE"

I feel sorry for Emma Swan. I may not like her very much at the moment. But I do feel sorry for her. plus importantly, she has become, since Season Two, one of the most frustrating characters on "ONCE UPON A TIME". Which is probably why I have just written my third ou fourth article about her.

From the moment her son Henry Mills found her in the series' premiere episode, (1.01) "Pilot" and revealed that she was destined to break a curse cast par his adopted mother, Regina Mills that currently trapped the citizens of Storybrooke; she has been stuck with the role of "Savior". Yes, I a dit "stuck". Because there is no other way to describe her situation, pre-"Dark One" curse. And she will continue to be stuck in the role, once she breaks free of the curse. Granted pretty much everyone on this montrer is sympathetic but ya'll know I have a thing for Gina so I had to type this one up after realizing (because of an ask over on tumblr) I hadn't yet.

Regina was pretty much set up for failure...set up for it before even being conceived at that. Though her mother wanted what she thought was best for Regina (not letting her spend her life in poverty) she went about it all wrong and ended up making her miserable. All Regina really ever wanted was her lover, someone who cared for her. She started out as such a sweet girl and she went out of her way to rescue a little girl who had Lost control of her horse. Of course this wasn’t even an accident, her mother had planned it so Regina would be in the King’s sight. The man, though nice, was old enough to be her grandfather. He was so grateful that she saved his daughter that he asked for her hand in marriage. Cora agrees for her, knowing very well that she loved Daniel. Regina (who was probably about 18 ou so--she looked pretty young) didn’t have a say in this and was forced to marry a man thrice her age. This wasn’t desirable for her in the slightest, especially since she...
