She was pretty much told she's destined to live alone. She lost her true love...twice (one of those times she watched his heart get crushed, the other she had to be the one to take him so she could end his pain). She lost her mom. Though it was by her own hand she lost her dad and her son. She almost had her son back but then her own mother took that away. She almost got her soul sucked out. She almost died for people she didn't even like...twice, and they still hate her. And she was tortured, physically tortured through electro-shock. Shall I even go on, there is a crap ton more?

Agreed! It would be horrible having your mother die in your arms, especially cause' she had nobody else! ^

But I'm still going for August's fate being the worst (not so much Pinocchio). He was literally erased from existence...I can't think of anything worse than that!

Honestly I think Snow got the shortest end of the stick in terms of what other people did to her. Her mother and father were both killed, she was forced into exile, her birthright taken from her, and it seemed every time she turned around either her or her True Love were in mortal danger. And the worst thing is? None of this is her fault, people have been steadily plotting to ruin her life since she was very young and she herself has always tried to be the very best she can, always doing the right thing and making the right and best choices for as many people as possible. Then it seems that after a life of devastation and trials she finally gets her happy ending ... to have it and her memories ripped away from her for 28 years, to be forced to give up her newborn child if she wants to save the futures of everyone in her kingdom - the people she has always tried to protect.

Regina had it rough at times but literally the only thing I feel bad for her for is Daniel. She is a horrible person who did evil evil things. Daniel was a tragedy, because they were both innocents, but everything after that I felt she brought onto herself. She lost her mother yes, but her mother was quite possibly more evil than she. She killed her own father so in my mind she deserves all the pain she got from that. Henry was a neglected and emotionally abused and at times used as a pawn in Regina's schemes, if she had actually treated and raised him the way he needed he wouldn't be pulling away from her in favour of Emma. The townspeople wouldn't hate her if she didn't massacre them on whims and try to curse them for eternity. Greg wouldn't have had a reason to torture her if she hadn't taken his father away from him, tried to kidnap him, causing him to be alone for god knows how many years. Her soul wouldn't have nearly been ripped out if she hadn't pissed off the Dark One by locking his loving and completely innocent girlfriend up in an asylum for over 28 years. As far as I'm concerned most of the bad and upsetting things that happen to Regina in the show are a result of her being an evil and terrible human being.

Don't worry you haven't offended, but even though Cora was evil Regina loved her, it would be horrible to have your OWN mother die in your arms.

Yes it was awful and that scene is very powerful, but how many mothers did Regina kill, how many children were included in the villages she ordered slaughtered? She's not the only person to watch her mother die and I don't give her more sympathy for that than I'd give any other character whose family/parents died in front of them. I actually have less sympathy for her considering how often she inflicted that same pain of other people. People who haven't previously tried to kill their mother in the past.

Yeah I guess she's just crazy lol, but we haven't seen much of that. I don't agree with her doing that though.

Omg, I can't possibly answer this question!! haha everyone is pretty traumatized... just to name a few: Red eating her boyfriend by accident, Regina having her own mother murdering her boyfriend in front of her, Rumpel loosing his son for 300 years and then thinking the love of his life was dead, Baelfire being sucked through a random portal on his own twice and growing up like an orphan, Snow with both of her parents dead...etc.

His father didn't respect him,his wife wasn't in love with him & his daughter ripped out his heart.

Because he saw his daughter becoming the Evil Queen, he could have stopped her as a father but he didn't & at the end he died willingly for Regina's 'happiness.' Hapiness that she is still seeking....

I think I forgot to mention the dementor thing.

Because she never got told she was a wolf and had to come to terms with eating her own boyfriend. That's why I think Regina had losing Daniel easier than Red losing Peter. Regina never had guilt hanging over her entire life, but Red did. She still remembered it in 2x07.
