The way he said it...OH MY GOD! There is no doubt in my mind that he really meant it. Besides, both Emily and Stephen said that there is something behind that 'I love you' and that it's not just a means to a plan to take down Slade.

^decastinson: Completely agree with your above statement! Just the way Oliver delivered the 'I love you', he couldn't have not meant it. Plus from what I've seen from interviews at the CW's 2014 Upfront party, Stephen Amell regarding the 'I love you', "Was it all a ruse?" and Emily Bett Rickards saying "There's such a strong love there, and I think it comes from a lot of life or death situations together. And their chemistry and being able to call each other out on each other's shit, you know, not everyone does that for you." Olicity is gonna be a slow burn, and I'll enjoy every second of it.

Yes, I think this 'I-love-you' is based on truth. Actually, he didn't have to say it : "He took the wrong woman" would have been enough. So he chose to say it, deliberately. If it wasn't for the plan, why would Oliver say ILU to Felicity? I think that if this conversation was their last, he wanted to be sure she knew what he really felt for her.
