OK, obviously as a villain, a lot of people do not give Sunset Shimmer a lot of praise, but as a reformed villain, she has become one of the most populaire characters in the MLP franchise , and I have to say, I do like Sunset Shimmer as reformed villain and I think she makes a great edition to the HuMane 6. But here's the thing; as I a dit in my précédant article, Sunset had the potential to be arguably Twilight's greatest rival, but they dropped the ball on that account. And what really drives it accueil for me is her defeat at the end of the first movie; not so much because she was defeated par the Elements of Harmony, but because she reformed so quickly.
As I also a dit in my précédant article, Sunset Shimmer seems like the Vegeta of MLP. She seems like a character who wouldn't just automatically revert from the Dark Side. She seems like someone who would slowly and mythodically turn from a bad guy, then an anti-hero, then ultimately a hero.
Which brings me to my suivant and the most important reasons why Sunset's Shimmer's defeat and her turn from the Dark Side irks me (at least in this regard). For three years, Sunset Shimmer dominated Canterlot High; she was on haut, retour au début of the world, no one could touch her; she had the crown, she had the power, she had it all and then, in one shot, it was all taken away from her par Twilight and her friends, but plus specifically, Twilight. And to add salt to the wound, while Sunset Shimmer is lying in a deep crater, injured, broken, defeated, and reduced to a shell of her former self, what does Twilight do? She rubs it in her face, telling her off, basically saying that she has nothing and that everyone will never like her. Yeah, she did get her to her feet later and maybe that's not really what she was saying, but that's what it felt like to me. Personally, if it were me, I would hold at least some sort of resentment towards the girl who not only took my power, but also humbled and humiliated me.
One thing I'm really getting tired of is when most of these kinds of villains who seem like a major threat and rival to the main character, once they are defeated, are left on their knees, kneeling at the feet of the hero. And that is exactly the case with Sunset Shimmer at the end.
I'm sorry, but the plus I think about it, the plus it angers and irritates me. I don't think Hasbro can alternate the ending, but what I think they should do is after they finish the Equestria Girls movies, they should remake them, plus specifically, the ending of the first movie and have a better ending then Sunset Shimmer just excepting Twilight's offer for friendship after being humbled and humiliated.
