When did toi start liking your favori character/s?

I know it has already been asked before who your favori character is and what toi like about him but I haven't heard yet the "when".... like, in which particular scene ou episode did toi start liking him/her. And toi can add why toi consider him/her your favori among all the rest of the characters. What makes him/her special?

---

England: I started watching at aléatoire and the first time I saw him at that ep. where he was spying the Axis, he always gets caught, then he disguised as Italian, caught again. My impression was, "This guy's pathetic. But he has the guts jouer la comédie cocky and sure of himself XD" Well, I think it's justified. Afterall, he was the great British Empire. I always like that kind of comic character. And to know that he has these other identities: angel, warlock, rock star, waiter, "cook", etc. That makes him a lot interesting to me and before I knew it he became the one I'm looking vers l'avant, vers l’avant to the most in manga strips. What do I say? He's full of surprises. XD

Prussia: The first character I ever saw in the Anime. at first i was surprised that the "obsolete" country of Prussia was included in the story. That made me interested of this character as I've always been interested of Germanic countries.
Same impression as England, basically... only that he's a little plus ahead in everything - plus cocky, and well... he has a lot plus "wisdom". I actually started liking him when i heard his song, Mein Gott. That's where i understood his character. And seeing plus of him in the manga, he just got my sympathy.

Germany: Real life Germany has always been my favori foreign country so it only follows that it will go the same in the Hetalia universe. So since the beginning I always like him. When it comes to personality, he is my favorite. As I said, I see him as the most role-model-like character. In several strips, he also serves as the persona of the story (story is told in his point of view) so that's bonus point for m

Austria: I like tsukommi type comic character. I'm fascinated how two tsukkomis (Austria and Germany) can go together and pull off comedy. i started to like him when i saw the "piano scene" (Austria's anger is Chopin).. It so happened that I like classical music. I like him even plus when I've read the Freeloader series. I think I can relate to him XD... He's unexpectedly funny. I think among all the characters, he's the one I never get tired to look vers l'avant, vers l’avant too.

I actually didn't care much whatever his image is. I like France no matter what. He reminds me of a good friend of mine so I like him even more. And this character is quite amazing in his own right, no?

Certainly totally awesome~ Among the characters, he's the one I like best to do a "solo act" like the Oresama blog, Cleaning Prussia, Big Brother's turn, and many others. We're assured that it will be awesomely funny.

England: When I first started watching Hetalia, I didn't take much notice of him. But then as I went and watched all of the APH series, I suddenly found myself really sucked into his character. According to Mr. Himaruya, he is one of, if not the most, complex character in Hetalia, which is pretty understadable, what with him having been a knight, pirate, empire, and now a punk AND a gentleman as well. I've always enjoyed British and Celtic history, so he became even plus interesting to me. In my opinion, he's one of the best animé characters ever. I'm not going to be the fangirl who says that England is always 'misunderstood', because while that is true regarding his social abilities (Not much of a surprise either; did toi know that, out of the 193 member states the UN recognises, England has fought 171 of them? And with his isolation issues...) in my mind he actually IS cruel to an extent, if toi think of it historically (Read about Perfidious Albion, it's a titre the Europeans gave to England). Strangely enough, that actually makes him more, shall we say, thrilling, than disturbing to me.

Well said. I actually don't care either if he's cruel ou anything so long as the character is interesting. And I even think Himaruya's just going easy on the character (like he does with every other character) but looking at it in a historical point of view, England certainly is one of the most fascinating characters out there as it shows much in his complexity, as toi said. And it's certainly one of the things I like about him. toi can hardly tell if he's supposed to be a serious ou easy going character. He's intriguing.

North Italy.

Why? To be honest i didn't care about him in the beginning at all, but i can't really say he "grew" on me either. But somewhere during my lire i actually found him quite admirable, he is positive and holds both artistic talents anf amazing cooking abilities. He treasures his friendship with Germany and Japon very dear and thats really cute. It kind of makes me sad that he is treated as a uke ou almost a "woman" since it id quite clear that he is quite manly, and i think thats why some pairings clashes with my tastes. Also with the help of fanart, amazing rpers of him and some historical searching i am quite interested in him, the country and the various relations the country had with other countries.

Russia: It took me a while to realize why I enjoy him so much, but I finally realized it - His moments have the darkest humor in the series. He's childish and unaware of how cruel and intimidating he can be, the trauma from his violent history has mentally damaged him, he abuses the Baltics, is harassed par a possessive sister, and not even a hamster would want to be Friends with him.

ALL of that is played for laughs. He may have some serious parts (i.e. Bloody Sunday strip), but most of the crap he goes through is shown in the same light-hearted tone as all of the other comedic moments in the series. As a fan of black/dark comedy, this amuses me to no end.

I'm also a fan of Russia as a country, not to mention the Soviet Union. So that helps my l’amour for him, too.

Although Russia is not one of my haut, retour au début favourite characters, I have to say that his harsh past and semi-mental state make him a very interesting character. The fact that he isn't aware of his own cruelity, and his longing for friendship really warms my heart. If I ever met someone like him in real life I'd really ant to be their friend and help them :)

I actually didn't really pay much attention to him at first and then....I started learning Spanish =) Half of my town speaks Spanish and I never realized before how beautiful of a language it is. And as soon as I started learning it I suddenly fell in l’amour with the language, country, culture, history. And I finally started to notice what an amazing character Spain is. He's so funny and joyful~ And he'll always constantly have a smile on his face. I l’amour the positive energy he has! Seeing him in Hetalia always makes me happier. And then suddenly every time I saw him montrer up I would tell myself "This is going to be a great episode!. And it always was!~ He can be so silly and aléatoire at times too. Most people would be confused ou freaked out if a swarm of turtles suddenly showed up in a restaurant but he's just "Oh yay! Turtles how wonderful! Let us enjoy their company!" kind of attitude. That's one scene that really stood out to me XD He can be so clueless as well which makes him adorable. And I admire how loving he is. He protects and care for Romano despite Romano being...Romanoish~ To be honest, everything about him very much resembles my own father. And I l’amour my dad so much so I think that's a huge part of why he's my most favori character~ Spain is beautiful, and I'll always l’amour him ~ ♥

toi know, I am really bad at remember WHEN I liked something. I usually always know why I like something, but always forget when I liked it.

I started watching Hetalia I think a little over 2 years ago. I started liking France after rewatching the First season again. Though he was in my haut, retour au début 10 the first time watching it.
It may have been because I was paying plus attention to how funny his character was. But sadly, I may have started liking him because of fanart. I was still in my eye Candy part of my life, which I guess everyone goes threw. Because looking at old votes I have asked, he was in my haut, retour au début 5 most attractive Hetalia guys list. So guess that was when I was taking notice in him? But he is pretty much my dream guy, so maybe that is why I started liking him. Because I started learning plus about the characters and paying plus attention to all of them.

Now of course I l’amour him for his character, history, and depth. His good looks come from what a wonderful person he is. But I guess everybody par now knows why I like him?

XD That's okay. toi don't have to answer a definite time. That answer would do. It's plus like a question of how the certain character became our favorites..... And there's nothing wrong with it if toi start to like him because of his looks. Afterall, we get to SEE first the characters, before we thoroughly familiarize their personality and role, so most likely it is that factor that first gets us interested over a character. It's pretty much like, appreciating a good art. And much better if we see the profundity in a character, just like toi do and so as the other fans here.

I have 3 characters I l’amour (I have a lot plus but this is my haut, retour au début 3)

Italy: Well it kind of was l’amour on first sight. His smile in the first episode was so cute and the way he a dit ~PASTAAA made me laugh. I really like it how Italy acts towards Germany. The way Italy is loud and sweet while Germany tries his best to not get annoyed (wich doesn't work) kind of reminds me of my dad and I.

England: I've always liked tsundere characters so I liked England from the beginning. But when I saw the episodes about England and chibi America I've felt in l’amour with him. The ''protective, sweet, big brother'' type is a kind of character that always gets me.

Prussia: I didn't like him when I saw him for the first time. His ''I'm awesome.'' trait kind of bothered me at the beginning. But after a while I started to like him because he always maked me laugh during the series and he has the same ''big brother'' trait that made me fall in l’amour with England.

Japan

Generally, when we're with other people we put up a sort of wall. When I was in elementary school I was an irritating brat, I realized that when I moved up to middle school and basically tried to act like an adult. I built up my mur so no one could climb over it... So everyone thought it was irritating and conceited how I never talked with them. When I moved up to high school, I started watching Hetalia, and I found a character that was unique. He wasn't afraid to stand up for himself, but he wasn't so outgoing and and annoying like Italy, America, ou Prussia. He was loyal and friendly, the type of person toi would blab out your life story to and cry on his shoulder. So I realized, I want to be plus like him. Though, I guess I was biased because I l’amour Japanese culture. They have some very unique art, music, landscapes, history, etc. And, I wouldn't have ever found Hetalia if I didn't like anime.
